Colorful Amalfi Coast Elopement Complete With Pizza and Prosecco

September 10, 2023 | justine

Rhiannon and Samantha chose a special way to celebrate their love. They didn’t focus too much on a formal wedding style, instead, what really mattered to them was showcasing how much fun they have together. They envisioned a day where they could have breakfast, get ready, and say their vows. Placing their complete trust in the experts, saying they did a fantastic job would be an understatement! Their colorful Amalfi Coast elopement came to life with a vibrant burst of palette, whimsical florals, and fabulous fashion.

The ceremony was set on the terrace overlooking the sea. Gorgeous blooms on pillars beautifully framed the couple and the seascape behind them as they said their sweet “I dos.” After tying the knot, a sweetheart table surrounded by colorful arrangements awaited them. They enjoyed a romantic walk through the streets, grabbed pizza, and popped a bottle of Prosecco at the pier. It was the perfect way to end a perfect day.

If you’ve always imagined an intimate celebration for two, with breathtaking views of the coast and a bit of unique charm, then this Amalfi Coast elopement is just the inspiration you need. Scroll down to discover all the swoon-worthy details beautifully captured by Mariah Treiber.

The Couple:

Rhiannon and Samantha

The Wedding:

Amalfi, Salerno, Italy

From Vision to Reality: a Carefree, Fun, and Colorful Amalfi Coast Elopement

With the help of the fantastic team at Finesse Eventi and day-of coordination by our photographer, Mariah Treiber, we achieved our fun, carefree day. We wanted the day to be about us in Amalfi, and it turned out just as we had hoped. There was no stress, only enjoyment. We envisioned an intimate day together—having breakfast, getting ready, and sharing our vows. Our focus wasn’t so much on an exact design style as it was on portraying the fun we shared.

Showcasing Their Authentic Selves Through Their Colorful Amalfi Coast Elopement Attire

We are so proud to have stayed true to what we wanted for our wedding. We’re thrilled with how everything came together, even though we had a tiny idea of how anything would look before the actual day. While we had a general color palette for the flowers, we had no clue about each other’s attire (both of us wrongly assumed the other would be in white). Yet, everything just happened to work so perfectly.

Handcrafted Vow Books Inspired by the Amalfi Coastline

Samantha hand-painted the vow books with a small image of the Amalfi coastline, highlighting some of the spots we planned to visit while on the coast. We also wore custom Vans shoes and jean jackets painted by friends from the ‘Burgh.

Having a Dream Team of Support to Help Them Craft a Day That Truly Represented Them

We’ve been truly fortunate to have a team we trusted wholeheartedly to ensure our day was perfect. We can’t sing their praises enough. Everyone who supported us during the planning process and on the day holds a special place in our hearts. Our advice is this: If specific plans don’t bring you joy, don’t hesitate to take a different path. Ensure that your special day reflects your unique essence, and don’t settle for anything less than what truly resonates with you.

Finishing Their Colorful Amalfi Coast Elopement Day Off With  Pizza, Gelato, and Prosecco

The most memorable part of our day was going into the city of Amalfi. We are lucky to have a photographer who is not only from our hometown but also brave enough to navigate the treacherous roads on the coast. Grabbing pizza and arancini together, we walked through the streets with gelato in hand, and shared Prosecco on the pier. We had a blast roaming the town, getting stunning photos, and making memories to last a lifetime.

Colorfully Modern Antiguo Molino Destination Wedding

September 5, 2023 | justine

Valeria and Craig had a definite plan for their wedding: a modern and fun atmosphere with vibrant colors. They chose the Antiguo Molino for its mix of history and contemporary feel, perfectly aligning to their creative vision. Even though planning from far away was tough, they relied on the experts–which included Junebug member and planner Lupita Tirado–and it paid off. Their trust was rewarded as their Antiguo Molino destination wedding exceeded their expectations, turning their dream into a beautiful reality.

Central to their celebration wasn’t just their union, but also a stunning showcase of fashion and style. Valeria looked chic in a fitted off-shoulder gown featuring a statement neckline and long sleeves, while Craig appeared dashing in a classic tuxedo with a white jacket. After exchanging vows at their intimate ceremony, a stunning reception followed in the courtyard. Vibrant centerpieces, elegant gold accents, and rattan bistro chairs stood out against the all-black tablescape. The festivities continued well into the night, with the couple and their guests celebrating under the glow of fairy lights and disco balls.

This wedding uniquely combines contemporary and timeless elements, all beautifully captured by Junebug member Gaby Bolivar. How Their Vendors Helped Bring Their Antiguo Molino Destination Wedding To Life

The biggest challenge was planning the wedding while living abroad in Hong Kong. Because of the distance, everything had to be managed remotely. But with the help of our team, things went smoothly. Our tip for couples planning a destination wedding is to communicate well with your planner and ensure your wedding ideas are clear and understood.

Why They Chose Antiguo Molino As Their Wedding Venue

We wanted our wedding to have a vibrant and contemporary vibe, with bold colors instead of the conventional green and white color palette typically associated with weddings. Our venue choice was deliberate. We wanted a modern space with a touch of historical significance and an excellent location. This choice was particularly significant to me, given my background as an architect and how the space felt was really important.

How They Personalized Their Ceremony

The ceremony was heartfelt and intimate. Sharing our own vows was significant to us. My sister’s husband officiated, and his touching words added a beautiful touch, making the moment even more memorable.

Staying Within Their $40K Wedding Budget

Sticking to our $40,000 wedding budget was a joint effort between us and our planner. It was crucial to achieve what we envisioned without overspending. We managed to stay within this budget, although we had to make some adjustments. We decided to reduce costs on elements like flowers and ceremony decorations.

Intimate San Francisco Micro Wedding Complete With Gorgeous Views & Good Food

August 30, 2023 | justine

Zoe and Dominic decided to keep things beautifully simple for their wedding. They wanted a day focused on their closest friends and family without worrying or rushing. Their plan? A charming San Francisco micro wedding with stunning city views and delicious food. And so, their dream day became a reality—an intimate, joyful celebration of their love, surrounded by the people who matter most.

Living close to San Francisco, the couple discovered the San Francisco City Hall online and were immediately drawn to its stunning marble interiors and beautiful natural light. They knew right away it was the perfect place to tie the knot. After saying their vows, they hurried to capture the last rays of sunlight with the Golden Gate Bridge behind them. The day wrapped up with a restaurant reception at Leo’s Oyster Bar, making for a truly memorable celebration.

Ready for some intimate wedding inspo? Take a look at these beautiful photos by Flora Gibson–they’re proof that all you need for a memorable day is a beautiful location and your loved ones around you.

The Couple:

Zoe and Dominic

The Wedding:

San Francisco, California, United States

How Their San Francisco Micro Wedding Came To Be

We wanted an intimate, elegant, and uniquely San Francisco wedding. Once we decided to get married at city hall and have dinner at Leo’s Oyster Bar, the rest fell together. We live in California near San Francisco, and once I googled photos of San Francisco City Hall and saw the beautiful marble and stunning natural light, we were sold. It was glamorous and elegant. It was a far cry from the sad government utility room I was expecting when my husband first suggested tying the knot at city hall.

Crafting a Personalized Ceremony by Including a Ring-Warming Tradition

We worked closely with our officiant to create a ceremony that reflected our relationship and values. One of the most memorable parts of our ceremony was a ring-warming tradition where our wedding rings were passed around to each of our guests, and they held them for a moment and said a silent blessing for our marriage while music played in the background. Then when we exchanged rings, it felt extra meaningful and that we had the love and support of everyone in attendance.

Every couple deserves unique vow books as special as their words. Explore our list of beautiful vow books fit for every ceremony.

Bringing to Life a Meaningful San Francisco Micro Wedding Day with Loved Ones

It was a spectacular day filled with so much love and joy, and it was significant to celebrate it with our closest family. Everyone in our family had to travel to attend the wedding, and we’re so touched they did that. Not easy when babies are involved! I’m proud that we stayed true to what we wanted: an intimate celebration with amazing food and cocktails.

A Dash to the Golden Bridge Lookout for Sunset Portraits

We were running to the lookout together to catch the last light by the Golden Gate Bridge. My veil flew off, the wind blew the bouquet almost out of my hands, and we couldn’t stop laughing.

Thoughtful and Guest-Focused Preparations

Spending significant time considering your guests’ experience on your wedding day is well worth it. It was essential to us that our family have a wonderful day where details like food, transportation, where they can park strollers, etc., were taken care of and planned. Planning this ahead of time ensured we could enjoy the day and not fuss over details. That we could enjoy the day and not be stressed by any last-minute details or organization. Everything was thought through and planned so we could be present on our wedding day.

This Forte da Cruz Destination Wedding Incorporated Indian Traditions Beautifully

August 27, 2023 | justine

Pooja and Chris’ adventure led them to Portugal, where they were captivated by the charm of Lisbon and the Algarve. When the moment came to tie the knot, the decision was crystal clear. Opting for a stunning seaside castle—their Forte da Cruz destination wedding seamlessly blended elegance, cherished traditions, and heartfelt details.

In a picturesque corner within the historic fort, they exchanged vows against a backdrop of lush greenery. The festivities continued with a breathtaking reception on the terrace, where the  color palette drew inspiration from the blue shades of Portuguese tiles. The tablescape came alive with lush white blooms and gold accents, beautifully contrasting with the aqua-colored table covers. As the night unfolded, guests dined, danced, and reveled under the enchanting glow of twinkling lights.

This wonderful celebration brought their love story together with the natural beauty around them, making it an event you definitely don’t want to miss. You’re in for a treat when you see all the gorgeous details captured by Memorelle.

The Couple:

Pooja and Chris

The Wedding:

Forte da Cruz, Estoril, Portugal

How Their Forte da Cruz Destination Wedding Came To Be

Chris and I visited Portugal in 2018 as one of our first trips together. And fell in love with the warmth and ease of Lisbon and the Algarve. When we decided to have a destination wedding, it was clear that returning to Portugal would make the most sense to celebrate our marriage and our love. I particularly wanted something on the coast with a view of the expansive ocean. Between the blues of the sea and the famed Portuguese tile, it was easy to come up with a color palette that highlighted different hues of blue. We wanted the vibe to feel relaxed but elegant so people could dress up and have fun.

Incorporating Meaningful Indian Traditions Into Their Forte da Cruz Destination Wedding Ceremony

our celebrant created a bespoke ceremony for us that incorporated Indian traditions with personal touches. We included a garland exchange and seven circles–some of the most important Indian traditions–but we also wrote our own vows to each other. We also loved String Quartet Solutions’ music background for the ceremony, including classical tracks and pop songs with a string quartet twist. It was the perfect mix of tradition and staying true to ourselves.

Critical Steps for a Memorable Destination Wedding: Practical Tips and Advice from the Newlyweds

It was really helpful to visit our venue, meet our planner in person, and do a tasting with our caterers before the wedding. So be sure to add that to your wedding timeline and budget. You may also want to do a practice shoot with your photographers. We did not, which was still wonderful. But we loved our photographers and would have liked to spend more time with them. It’s also helpful to decide on an organizational system–whether it’s a dedicated email folder, printed-out files, or a big Excel spreadsheet–so you can keep track of your to-dos and budget.

Taking Care of Their Guests Needs Throughout their Forte da Cruz Destination Wedding Weekend

It was essential to us that our guests had a chance to enjoy themselves, so we tried to take care of them as much as possible over the wedding weekend. Adding a welcome event the night before the wedding and taking care of transportation to both the welcome event and the wedding itself helped achieve this. We’re delighted that everyone had a wonderful time at our wedding.

A City Rooftop Meets Nature In This Fairmont Pacific Rim Wedding

August 23, 2023 | justine

Miri and Pepe–originally from Mexico–instantly fell in love with Vancouver. It felt so perfect to share this special place, now their home, with friends and family. Bringing together their beloved group of around 30 from all corners of the globe, it was a heartwarming reunion after the long separation due to the pandemic. Choosing a Fairmont Pacific Rim wedding, their celebration flawlessly merged a rooftop-meets-nature atmosphere. Think soft colors, elegant yet simple details, and an ambiance that made everyone feel incredibly welcome.

The couple described their suite as a “Balinese Villa dream,” and it sure was! With views of the harbor and the North Shore Mountains, the rooftop patio was the picturesque setting for their vow exchange, followed by a meaningful cacao ceremony. With a relaxed schedule, they had all the time in the world to savor the rest of the day. They kicked back, sipped on signature cocktails, and cozied up in stylish lounges, all while treating their guests to live music and a portrait session that ensured their friends and family could take home meaningful memories of the special day.

The celebration was all about family togetherness, without rigid traditions, and an adorable dog that brought even more joy to their big day. And thankfully, Junebug member Nomad by NK was there to capture every moment beautifully. If your and your partner’s wedding vibe is modern, laid-back, and chic, then this rooftop soiree is for you.

The Couple:

Miri and Pepe

The Wedding:

Fairmont Pacific Rim, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Infusing Depth and Meaning into Their Wedding With a Cacao Ceremony

Here’s something unique and meaningful that we incorporated into our wedding: a cacao ceremony. Back in ancient Aztec culture, cacao was a big deal. It was considered the Emperor’s drink and had spiritual and ceremonial significance. It was a way to connect with our inner selves and set positive intentions for the future. So, we decided to bring this tradition into our wedding by exchanging a cacao drink. It was a moment of deep connection and gratitude, where we celebrated our love and our journey together. Now, we’ve decided to make it our own little tradition. Every year, we’ll share a cacao drink to reconnect, express gratitude, and set positive vibes for the future.

Memorable Surprises: a Dog’s Dive and Tokens of Love

Our furry friend stole the show on our wedding day. Our dog couldn’t contain his excitement and decided to take an impromptu dive into the artificial pond at the venue. It was a hilarious surprise that had everyone cracking up. But that’s not the only surprise we had. My traditional Catholic mom surprised us with 13 shiny silver coins called “arras.” They’re said to bring prosperity to the couple. It was such a sweet and meaningful gesture that warmed our hearts.

Wedding Planning Advice: Your Day, Your Way

When it comes to your special day, remember that there are no rigid rules set in stone. Embrace the freedom to celebrate in a manner that resonates with the essence of your unique relationship. Don’t feel obligated to conform to societal expectations or follow prescribed conventions. Instead, dare to pave your own path and create a wedding experience that authentically reflects your love story. For us, the key to wedding planning was enjoying the process and staying true to ourselves. We wanted our celebration to be a genuine reflection of our relationship and values. No stress, just pure joy in creating an event that felt uniquely us.

How They Created Their Fairmont Pacific Rim Wedding Budget

We sat down and hammered out our budget, leaving every detail accounted for. As a self-proclaimed organizational wizard, I created a spreadsheet that covered everything. Our biggest tip? Don’t get caught up in the allure of Pinterest weddings—they can be pricey. Instead, sit down with your partner and list your priorities. Spend your money on what truly matters to you both and skip the rest. One thing that surprised us was the cost of flowers. In Mexico, they’re affordable all year, but in Canada, they can be pretty pricey due to the weather and availability. Lesson learned!

Putting Their Hearts Into Their Fairmont Pacific Rim Wedding with DIY Touches

We rolled up our sleeves and went DIY mode for our welcome sign, website, and invitations. Canva came to the rescue for the sign, where we designed it ourselves, printed it out, and hung it on a floor lamp stand. As for the invites, we went digital with Paperless Post, and Itook charge of the design. To infuse a nostalgic vibe, we incorporated archive images of Vancouver from the 1960s and 1970s, paying homage to the city’s vibrant past.

How They Navigated Videography on a Budget

To stay within our budget, we made the tough call to skip hiring a videographer, despite our film industry background. Instead, we got creative. Our fantastic wedding photographers took charge and captured the day beautifully. Plus, one of our filmmaker friends filmed everything on Super 8mm with one of my old cameras. Our splurges? We couldn’t resist booking the talented portrait photographer Dennis Gocer from The Collective You and indulging in mouthwatering food. We have no regrets whatsoever.

Elevating the Guest Experience with Portraits

As wedding guests, we’ve always been disappointed with the lack of decent photos of us on such special occasions. Despite trying to look our best, we often end up photobombing a couple of pictures of the happy couple without any great shots of ourselves. So, being the photography enthusiasts that we are, we decided to do something about it. We had the incredible Dennis Gocer from The Collective You take portraits of all our guests. It was our way of saying, “Hey, we see you, and we want you to have a beautiful picture of yourself from this special day.” And you know what? We’ve spotted those portraits proudly displayed in our friends and family’s homes and even on their Instagram profile pictures. It’s such a wonderful feeling to know that we’ve given them a lasting memory they can cherish.

How Their  Fairmont Pacific Rim Wedding Came to be

2020 threw us a curveball with our wedding plans due to COVID. We had not one but two venue changes. With travel restrictions in place, we shifted gears and found ourselves in Vancouver, where we stumbled upon the most jaw-dropping spot at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. The Chairman’s Suite, aka the “Rock Star Suite,” was like stepping into a Balinese villa dream. It wasn’t just our venue. It was also our swanky suite for the night. The outdoor patio stole the show as the actual wedding spot. We’re originally from Mexico but fell head over heels for Vancouver. So, it felt only right to bring our friends and family to this special place we now call home. The rooftop patio brought us incredible views of the city, Coal Harbour, and those majestic North Shore Mountains. It was the epitome of everything we adore about BC.

Adding Personality to the Festivities with Custom Signature Drinks

We had a blast working with the mixology expert at the Fairmont to create custom drinks for us. We whipped up a spicy and refreshing mezcal cocktail for my drink that screamed summer vibes. And for the groom, we crafted a colorful and sweet vodka-based concoction that perfectly matched his personality. These drinks were a fun and tasty reflection of who we are as a couple, adding an extra touch of uniqueness to our celebration.

Creative Villa Veintiseis Wedding Overflowing With Flowers

August 20, 2023 | justine

William and Nate had a clear vision for their wedding day: they wanted every little detail to be meaningful and reflect their unique love story. With Nate’s signature art style as the basis of their wedding theme and the help of their amazing team of vendors, they created a magical black tie affair that was both glamorous and filled with a touch of whimsy. Florals, fashion, and fun took center stage at their Villa Veintiseis wedding–and to say that they hit the mark would be an understatement.

Set within the garden oasis of the historical villa estate, the couple exchange vows underneath towering tropical foliage and a lush floral arch. After the ceremony, the celebration continued at the covered pavilion. Tying the decor to the surrounding natural landscape, their reception featured tablescapes of billowing blooms and a floral installation as a focal point, all illuminated by twinkling lights.

Not only that, the pair added a stylish flair to their dreamy affair with their show-stopping attire. Nate dazzled in a blinged-out white suit adorned with a floral lapel, perfectly complementing William’s classic look—a white suit paired with a lavender bow tie. If your dream wedding features lush foliage, vibrant florals, and chic fashion, these gorgeous photos by La Vie Studios are a must-see. This celebration is filled with inspiration that you won’t want to miss!

The Couple:

William and Nate

The Wedding:

Villa Veintiseis, Miami, Florida, United States

How Their Villa Veintiseis Wedding Came To Be

Nate knew he wanted to brand the wedding, and I requested that I’d use his signature art style. We knew we wanted a wedding that was trendy and cemented in time. Think of 80’s wedding photos but in the modern era. A creative black tie wedding felt like the perfect fit–glamorous and whimsical. Our wedding planner was able to make all of our unconventional ideas come to fruition and guide us along the way. When we tell you the amount of detail and time she spent on putting this wedding together, it was above and beyond. She was very easy to work with, and since she works in Miami and New York, she got the vibe and aesthetic we wanted perfectly.

Their Villa Veintiseis Wedding Fashion That Perfectly Showcased Their Personalities

When you are a same-sex couple, there are no rules on how to dress for your wedding day. We came up with two rules: the first rule was that we both had to be in white, and we couldn’t know what the other person was wearing until our first look at the wedding. Luckily, we both picked out outfits that complemented each others beautifully. Nate decided to go a little more blinged out, where he customized a bespoke white suit from Suit Club NYC, adorned his hair with Swarovski crystals, and chose a big crystal brooch instead of a tie. He also had a shoe change from vintage-heeled white Gucci loafers during the ceremony to the blinged-out oversized Gucci sneakers at the reception. I went with up-and-coming genderless fashion designer Tanner Fletcher. Tanner has a more vintage and classic feel to their designs, reflected in my suit. A double-breasted suit in satin adorned with a rose pattern and a lavender bow tie. Funny enough, I also chose Gucci shoes—the queercore brogue.

Creating a Personalized Ceremony by Incorporating Meaningful Traditions and Surprise Vows

We worked closely with our officiant to create a unique and personal wedding ceremony. We are both very spiritual, and we had that reflected in our ceremony. Something special we did was a mantilla ceremony, a Spanish tradition of placing a cloth, or veil, over the couple’s shoulders and having a prayer said to help bind the couple spiritually. Our mantilla was a piece of embellished lace fabric that we had our mothers place over our shoulders and then recited a blessing. One surprise that happened was during our vows. We had said our vows during our first look and decided to write another, more public vow to read during the ceremony. Little did we know that we both had surprise vows during the ceremony! Nate read a beautiful poem he had written. And I performed a rendition of the jazz standard “There is No Greater Love.” It was very special to us both.

Why They Chose Villa Veintiseis as Their Venue

We had some very different ideas throughout the process when thinking of venues. Ultimately, Nate wanted a Spanish-style villa. I wanted a luscious outdoor space. And since so much of our family lives in Florida, we immediately thought of Miami, FL. We toured a few Spanish Villa-style venues and ended up with Villa Ventiseis. It had beautiful luscious trees, an outdoor ceremony and reception space. And a beautiful home where we could stay the night before and after the wedding. Plus, it was the former home to Mexican singer Juan Gabriel, one of Nate’s favorite artists. It was absolutely perfect for us.

DIY Touches That Made Their Villa Veintiseis Wedding Extra Special

Since we used Nate as the brand expert for our wedding, we knew we also wanted to include handmade touches. We created custom envelopes and a custom wax stamp with our logo embossed for our invitations. And for our save-the-dates, we included a Polaroid photo of us for guests to keep. That means we hand-stuffed and stamped them all for our save-the-dates and invitations. There was another thing we did since our wedding was in Miami. We included some subtle NYC touches to our wedding with things we found throughout the city. For example, for the mantilla, we used an embossed lace fabric from the garment district. And for our signage, we displayed them on vintage picture frames we found throughout the city.

Wedding Planning Advice: Trust Your Gut That Tied in With Their Spiritual Sides

Our advice is to ignore everyone’s input and do exactly what you want for the wedding. But also keep your guests in mind when planning. But, you should follow your intuition. And do what you need to do to make your wedding special for you, it won’t feel like your wedding. A wedding is a way to reintroduce yourself as a couple and as individuals. So your wedding should reflect precisely the type of people you and your spouse are. Hiring a wedding planner who you create a mood board and wedding checklist with will help make sure you get every detail you could have dreamed of done and within your budget. Our fantastic wedding planner was helpful when finding the perfect venue and vendors to help our vision come to life and reminded us to stick to that vision.

Giving Their Guests Meaningful Favors at Their Villa Veintiseis Wedding

We are very spiritual and wanted to impart that to our guests when giving a wedding favor, so we gave everyone a heart-shaped piece of rose quartz. Rose quartz is the healing crystal of unconditional love. It’s believed to support emotional and relationship healing, inspire compassion, and boost feelings of peace and calm. Whether our guests believe in the power of healing crystals or just chucked it in a drawer somewhere. It was nice for us to allow people to bring the love we felt during the wedding home with them.

An Unforgettable Finale: The Emotional Last Dance That Stole The Show

The most memorable part of the day was our final dance before the night was over. When we were going over our first dance song, we were in between two songs. I wanted my favorite Lana Del Rey song, and Nate wanted his favorite Juan Gabriel song. So, to compromise, we decided to do a first dance and a last dance. Our last dance to Abrazame Muy Fuerte by Juan Gabriel got the most emotions out of us and our guests. We let loose and had more fun during that dance. Even the catering was clapping and cheering for us!

Two Creatives Created Magic In This Colorful Zimmermann Farm Wedding

August 13, 2023 | justine

Lauren Wysocki

When two creatives tie the knot, magic happens! Colleen, a flower farmer and floral designer, and Christopher, a graphic designer and musician, beautifully combined their artistic talents for a colorful celebration that showcased their personalities in every element. With the help of their team of pros and loved ones, their Zimmermann Farm wedding truly reflected their vision—from the homegrown flowers and handcrafted signs to the original music and homemade pickled vegetable favors.

Surrounded by forest, waterfalls, and gardens, the historic farm estate provided an idyllic setting for their dream outdoor celebration. Embracing the groom’s love for vibrant rainbow colors, the couple curated a muted rainbow color palette with their decor. The ceremony was adorned with ground florals, framing the heartfelt exchange of vows. For their reception, they gathered around a long dinner table for a delightful family-style meal. Under twinkling string lights and stars, they dined and danced the night away.

Their big day was a magical and intimate affair, with every detail thoughtfully considered to complement the picturesque landscape. The pair truly brought this colorful Zimmermann Farm wedding to life, making it a perfect source of inspiration. Follow their wedding journey and explore the beautifully captured details and moments through the lens of Lauren Wysocki.

The Couple:

Colleen and Christopher

The Wedding:

Zimmermann Farm, Pike County, Pennsylvania, United States

How Their Colorful Zimmermann Farm Wedding Came To Be

I am a flower farmer and floral designer, and my husband, Christopher, is a graphic designer and musician, so we had strong opinions about our wedding’s design and style. We wanted an outdoor wedding in September. Our date was on the day of the Full Harvest Moon, which felt perfect. With summer crops peaking and fall crops starting, we aimed to reflect the abundant meeting of these two seasons in early September. Christopher’s favorite color is “rainbow,” so we embraced that idea with an elevated and tasteful rainbow color palette for the flowers, decor, and attire.

Creating A Unique Zimmermann Farm Wedding Ceremony With Personal Touches and Including Their Loved Ones

Chris’ close childhood friend, Seth, served as our officiant, and he personalized the ceremony beautifully. Walking down the aisle with my mom, Chris’ song “In Circles,” played acoustically by his best man, filled the air. Our dearest friends did readings, Chris’ friend reading “Mouthful of Forevers” and my friend reading Chris’ poem titled “What Do You Give The Girl That Has Her Own Flower Farm.” We wrote our own vows. Inspired by the peak flower season in September, the ceremony flowers created a wild garden design. We exchanged vows under a weeping birch tree at Zimmermann Farm, surrounded by ferns and foliage with moss used by Strange Vine Studio to enhance the natural setting. It felt extraordinary to be in a lush semi-circle of flowers, some grown by friends, making it a beautiful collaboration of floral design friends.

Why They Chose Zimmermann Farm As Their Venue

Our wedding at Zimmermann Farm was a unique experience for us, our bridal party, and our guests. It was the perfect choice because it allowed us to customize our wedding and be one of the first couples to get married there. Jenni and Christine, the women behind our venue, were incredibly accommodating, promising to bring our dreams to life. We fell in love with the venue the moment we saw it, surrounded by the beauty of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, and the historic house added a sense of charm and history. The venue’s flexibility for an all-outdoor wedding with tented options in case of rain, in-house catering, and convenient on-site accommodations for guests within 30 minutes made it the ideal choice after considering three other venues. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision.

A Nature-Immersed Dinner Zimmermann Farm Wedding Reception in the Forest

Our dinner reception–held along a long table for 160 guests–was a magical experience, with the tree-lined driveway creating an epic and unforgettable dinner party. Our guests still rave about how special and unique it felt. The team at Zimmermann Farm did an exceptional job, creating an elevated but approachable restaurant-style dinner that exceeded our expectations.

Meaningful and Colorful Zimmermann Farm Wedding Fashion

Pursuing nature-inspired elegance, I found the perfect Anna Kara dress with an open back and a custom-made cape veil by Abby’s Sew Right, paying tribute to my dad. With minimal accessories like dried flower hairpins, Bryr Studio custom clogs completed my look. Chris chose a distinctive mustard yellow linen suit from Mantaikotai with linen ties and custom shoes from Adelante. Our bridal party embraced a “muted rainbow” theme with velvet bridesmaid dresses and suits in various shades for the groomsmen.

Dancing to the Music Performed by Talented Friends

The first dance at our wedding was an unforgettable moment made even more special by our musician friends, Emily Jeanne Brown and Eric “Doc” Mendelsohn, who performed for us. Choosing “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young–fitting for our Full Harvest Moon wedding–made it even more meaningful. Their live performance brought tears to our eyes as our friends and family gathered around the dance floor, singing along. To add to the magic, Chris surprised everyone by letting his long hair down in the middle of the dance, earning enthusiastic applause and cheers from the crowd. It was a genuinely touching and unforgettable moment for us.

Wedding Planning Lessons Learned: Prioritize, Pace, and Seek Support

Planning our wedding was a labor of love, with us deeply invested in every element. However, compromises were inevitable, especially with budget constraints. Decision fatigue is real, so we learned to take realistic timeframes for making choices. Taking breaks between major decisions helped us avoid feeling overwhelmed. We discovered the value of seeking help from friends and family who graciously supported us. Though asking for assistance wasn’t natural for us, it proved essential in creating a special day. We recommend not leaving things to the last minute to reduce stress, particularly for significant aspects like outfits, as customizations may take longer than expected. DIY’ing elements like signage, decor, and favors was rewarding, but we wish we had started earlier to allow room for unexpected challenges. Planning ahead and allowing for potential hiccups can make the journey smoother and more enjoyable.

Honoring a Beloved Father: How They Found Joy Amidst Loss on Their Zimmermann Farm Wedding Day

Our wedding day became a bittersweet journey as we unexpectedly lost my dad months before the event. Emotions were raw as we navigated joy and sorrow simultaneously. Despite the challenges, we knew he would want us to have the wedding of our dreams. And his hard work made it possible. We felt his presence in various ways throughout the day, celebrating his life and our special bond. Earlier, during preparations, my mom, a close friend, and I gathered privately to honor him and sprinkle his ashes around the ceremony area, ensuring he could be with us during that poignant moment. It was a heartfelt tribute that brought comfort and made our wedding day meaningful.

Dancing to Dad’s Favorite Song and Signature Dance Move

My dad’s absence on our wedding day was especially felt during the father/daughter dance. Music had always been a shared passion, and “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac had been our chosen song. After he passed away, we discovered a list of songs he wanted played at the wedding. As the day approached, I tried to find a way to honor him that felt like a celebration rather than overwhelming grief. So, we decided to dance to his favorite song, “Sugar Magnolia” by the Grateful Dead. To add a personal touch, we even did his signature dance move called “The Worm.” A hilarious and lighthearted moment that made our friends and family laugh. Halfway through the song, we invited everyone to join us on the dance floor. Celebrating my dad’s memory with joy and laughter. It became a beautiful and uplifting tribute that made the dance even more special.

Homemade Pickled Vegetable Favors

Inspired by early September’s abundant food and flowers, we wanted to share our love for pickling with our guests. Before my flower farming days, I worked on vegetable farms. And Chris and I spent time on an organic farm, sparking my passion for canning. A bridesmaid’s idea of “Pickled You’re Here” favors excited us. Despite procrastinating, I was determined to make it happen, crafting 120 jars of pickled vegetables and jam in the week leading up to the wedding was quite a challenge! Friends helped chop vegetables and tie labels, and with Chris’ contributions, we set up a lovely stand. Guests adored the jars, but a few went missing, adding a touch of humor to our special day.

DIY Signage with Personal Touches

For our wedding, we wanted everything to reflect our love for the seasons, the Full Harvest Moon, and our beautiful venue. Erin Fox at The Moxie Fox created custom illustrations for our invitations to achieve this. Drawing inspiration from these illustrations, Chris designed all the wedding collateral, including our invitations, food and bar menus, escort cards, and place cards. With a personal touch in every detail, our DIY signage added a unique and sentimental touch to our special day.

Homegrown Blooms and a Collaborative Effort to Support Local Growers

While I preferred to avoid handling flowers on our big day (except for my bouquet), I teamed up with my close friend and bridesmaid, Kori from Colly Flowers, to bring our floral vision to life. I grew some of the flowers. But the majority were sourced from local flower farmers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania through the Garden State Flower Cooperative. Our talented flower friends, Lilly and Hope from Strange Vine Studio, worked their magic to execute our flower vision flawlessly. In addition to flowers, we decided to purchase tablecloths and napkins instead of renting them, making it a more cost-effective option. My incredible mom took on the task of ironing and folding each one. Making her invaluable contribution to our collaborative and heartfelt wedding setup.

Modern Greenhouse Two Rivers Wedding Inspiration Full of Florals

August 11, 2023 | justine

Nowadays, many couples opt for a cozy and private wedding. But don’t think for a moment that a smaller celebration means a less magical day, especially when you have trusted pros to make your wedding dreams come true. Courtney Jean Weddings led a team of wedding experts to create this Greenhouse Two Rivers wedding inspiration to showcase the venue’s new ceremony space using a classic color palette, lush florals, greenery,  and understated decor.

The talented team set the scene for a beautiful vow exchange with elegant ghost chairs and grounded arrangements lining the aisle. Floral pillars beautifully framed the real-life couple, adding to the moment’s magic. The romance soared to new heights as the celebration moved to the all-glass reception area. The tablescape was a vision in all-white, with tasteful touches of earthy accents, complemented by greenery installations.

And not only that, the pair’s attire perfectly complements the chic theme—with Makenna in a bell-sleeved plunge dress and Caleb in a classic black suit. If you’re looking for inspiration on elevating your modern wedding style, keep scrolling down to see more captured by Junebug member Tatum Nelson.

Junebug Member Tatum Nelson’s Thoughts On This Greenhouse Two Rivers Wedding Inspiration

Greenhouse Two Rivers just launched their brand new ceremony site, and a team of over 25 vendors came together to help promote their new space. Lauren and Caleb Greenberg started this project over a year ago with a big vision for the next step in their already beautiful venue. This is a beautiful inspiration for an intimate wedding of 24 people. With early textures and timeless elegance, the goal is always to make people feel like this space was made just for them, whether they are a guest, couple, or vendor. You are seen and thought of through every detail, and we are so excited for all the future clients to work with.

A Sentimental Styled Shoot: Reliving Memories While Promoting The Space

The amazing part of this shoot was that our couple, Caleb and Makenna, were married at Greenhouse Two Rivers before the new site was opened. So we brought them back with all their friends to relive the memories. We danced the night away, ate great food, and celebrated the grand reveal with a styled shoot. Courtney Jean Weddings led the team and brought this whole vision to life. Her vision was to bring an earthy elegance through textures, neutral tones, and the natural greens of the venue. She executed all of the designs for the shoot, along with all the logistics.

Capturing The Incredible Architecture of the New Space and the Incredible Floral Artistry

Tatum Nelson was the lead photographer who beautifully captured all the designed details and the new space. The space had not yet been photographed, so she had the freedom to be creative. From taking the couple out for a cigar session to being their biggest hype woman, Tatum truly captured the love shared between these two beautiful souls. Rosewood Floral blew it out of the park with all the tablescape and ceremony florals and installed all of the greenery in the new ceremony space. She is a true visionary when it comes to event design.

This Barn at Flanagan Farm Wedding Was Inspired by the Couple’s Home

Lucie and Dave’s Flanagan Farm wedding radiated a joyful, easygoing atmosphere that perfectly mirrored their personalities. To create a sense of familiarity and comfort, they used a warm and bright color palette, lots of greenery and house plants, and even some playful touches. The whole style mixed nature and modern elements, with a fun twist added in. It was just like them—comfy, a bit silly, laid-back, and relaxed.

They chose to say ‘I do’ with the woodland sanctuary as the backdrop. They kicked off the celebration with a ceremony surrounded by towering trees, followed by a reception featuring a unique mix of lounge seating and food stations scattered all over the property. The party then moved to the barn, filled with sparkles and disco vibes. The festivities continued with all-night karaoke and a delicious pizza feast.

You might think that’s hard to beat, but wait till you see the outfits. Lucie was stunning in a Leanne Marshall wedding dress with a hand-dyed skirt that had pops of blue, green, orange, and yellow, perfectly matching the wedding colors. Dave rocked a custom green suit with special messages and important dates embroidered inside. Even their dog Kiefer suited up for the big day! If you’re looking for ideas to make your wedding fashion exciting or want to turn your backyard into a whimsical space, these photos by Henry and Mac have all the inspiration you need.

The Couple:

Lucie and Dave

The Wedding:

Flanagan Farm, Buxton, Maine, United States

Why They Chose A Flanagan Farm Wedding

We picked the Barn at Flanagan Farm because it was just right—charming and naturally beautiful. Also, we wanted Lucie’s grandma to be there (or at least see us dressed up), and she lived close by. The place had many outdoor areas and felt cozy, with lovely views that showed off the best of Maine. It was just what we needed for our playful celebration.

Incorporating Personal Stories, Quotes, and a Toilet Paper Wrapper to the Ceremony

We made the ceremony ours in a few special ways. To begin, we wrote our own vows that were all about us and our journey together. Our officiant, a close friend, added humor, stories about us, and meaningful quotes to the ceremony, making it feel like “us.” I had a surprise for Dave too. I brought out the toilet paper wrapper he gave me the night we met (yes, seriously!). It was a funny and sweet gesture that made everyone laugh.

Custom Cornhole Lawn Games and Pickleback Shots: How They Made Their Day Theirs

We wanted our day to be genuinely us. So we added personal touches that made it special. We had custom cornhole boards with our wedding design and even treated everyone to a pickleback shot before the ceremony, something we love. Our goal was to have a day that felt real and spend quality time with our loved ones. From the vows we wrote just for each other to the meaningful gifts we exchanged, every little thing was planned carefully to make it our own. Even our dog, Kiefer, got involved by sending out the save-the-dates (with custom coasters featuring his cute face). Our invitations also showcased our unique wedding design.

Setting the Laid-Back Tone with Comfort Food and a Relaxed Timeline

Our top priority in planning our wedding was to make the most of our time with our dear loved ones, many of whom traveled long distances to be with us in Maine. We aimed to craft an atmosphere where our family and friends could unwind, have a blast, and relish our special day. That’s why we went for a more laid-back approach, with passed-around bites, food stations scattered throughout the evening, lawn games, an exciting dance party, and karaoke for the reception. We even had a coal-fired pizza truck show up for a late-night treat. And instead of the usual wedding cake, we chose delightful individual chocolate lava cakes that were incredibly delicious. We wanted everyone to feel at ease without formal schedules or assigned seats. Our focus was all about creating beautiful memories and cherishing quality time together.

Wedding Advice: Don’t Feel Pressured to Follow Every Tradition or Trend

We suggest always staying true to who you are during the wedding planning journey. You don’t have to follow every tradition or trend if it doesn’t feel like “you.” Your big day should reflect your genuine selves. Put your attention on what truly counts to both of you and make those things a priority. And don’t forget, it’s your wedding day, so enjoy it! Feel free to sprinkle your quirks and personalities into the celebration. Having some fun and breaking a few traditions can be enjoyable. We had a blast mixing our family customs with our playful and unique approaches.

How They Stayed Within Their Flanagan Farm Wedding Budget

Managing our wedding budget involved an open conversation where we discussed what truly mattered to us. We figured out the things we cared about most, like having both live music and karaoke, adding special personal details like lawn games, and getting outstanding photography. We decided to allocate more of our budget to these critical aspects. Our wedding planning team was a big help too. They researched and compared vendor prices, ensuring we could stay on track and adjust things to fit our budget.

Setting The Right Festive Mood at Their Flanagan Farm Wedding with Live Entertainment

Among our amazing vendors, Isaiah Bennett and his musicians truly shone. They played during our ceremony and cocktail hour, and their music added the perfect vibe, filling the air with happiness right from the beginning. They even took our guests’ song requests, which was a delightful surprise. Their talent was exceptional, and they brought a contagious energy that kickstarted an absolutely lively celebration.

This Romantic Paris Wedding Took Place on a Yacht With Views of The Eiffel Tower

August 5, 2023 | justine

For Jen and Lucas, France held a special place in their hearts. So, when the time came to plan their special day, there was no doubt in their minds that the city of love was the perfect place to bring their dream wedding to life. With the beautiful iconic landmarks, cobblestone streets, cozy cafes, and that undeniably old-fashioned cozy charm—it’s easy to see why they chose a romantic Paris wedding.

The couple had always dreamt of a grand and unforgettable wedding, which was even more incredible than they could have imagined. Their vision came true on the top deck of a yacht, where they exchanged heartfelt vows. As the boat glided along the Seine River during the sunset, the Eiffel Tower came alive with sparkling lights, filling the moment with pure magic—talk about a floating fairytale They spent the night dancing, surrounded by this enchanting backdrop that made their celebration truly extraordinary!

If you’ve ever wondered about unique ways to tie the knot in Paris, prepare to be smitten as you scroll through these breathtaking photos captured by the Junebug member Through The Glass. The love and beauty radiating from each frame will surely steal your heart, much like it did ours.

The Couple:

Jen and Lucas

The Wedding:

Paris, France

How Their Romantic Paris Wedding Came To Be

I drew a lot of inspiration from France since visiting Lucas for the first time the summer after we met in college. Bringing our dream wedding to life started long before we even knew we would have it in Paris. I had been saving inspiration from Instagram for about three years by the time we met with our wedding planner. Whenever I saw a dress, table setting, photograph, or concept I liked, I would save it. Then, when we decided to have the wedding in Paris, where Lucas’ friends and family reside, that little collection set the tone for what I knew I wanted decor and the overall look and feel to emulate.

A Unique Wedding Venue: How Choosing A Yacht Wedding Let Their Guests See Paris

Our wedding venue was a yacht on the Seine River called The Clipper. We chose it because we knew that many of our guests would be seeing Paris for the first time at our wedding, and we wanted the venue to be an experience for guests to see the city. The ceremony was on the top deck while docked at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, and then the boat sailed on the river for the reception. We had a live band, and the food was served as a cocktail dinatoire, which is basically lots of different small bites, and the fare is substantial enough to serve as dinner. We had no seating chart because we wanted our guests to mingle, go on top of the boat, inside the boat, etc.

Starting a Memorable Tradition During Their Ceremony

Our officiant had a super fun idea to bring a wooden box with a bottle of wine in it, and Lucas and I would each nail it shut during the ceremony. The idea was that we would open it in 10 years on our anniversary. He had us each write love letters and add them to the box before sealing it. We are so thankful he suggested this idea and even provided the wine and box. It made for a fun activity during the ceremony as our loved ones watched, and we look forward to enjoying that bottle—and the letters—together someday.

Dreamy River Seine Cruise At Sunset

The day felt like a dream from start to finish, but the most memorable moment was when the boat started to sail on the Seine River at sunset. At one point, the Eiffel Tower started to sparkle just as we passed it, and my sister caught a candid video of Lucas and I dancing together underneath it. When I saw that video the next day, it all felt unreal. We woke up the next morning, looked at each other, and said, “Did that actually happen?” We reminisce often.

How Spreadsheets Made a Difference During Wedding Planning

For me, spreadsheets are a love language. It helped me keep track of guests, vendors, and complex travel schedules since my family and friends would be flying in from the U.S. and staying in different parts of the city. The wedding day included photos in iconic spots around Paris, so the spreadsheet (and my sisters, who were my maids of honor) were essential to ensure everything ran smoothly. So, if I could give any advice, it would be to a) don’t wait to book your favorite vendors, b) stick to a single spreadsheet rather than trying to keep track of texts, emails, notes, and to-do lists.

A Wedding Planner Is Crucial To a Successful Destination Wedding

One thing too, as important as details are, it’s true when they say it all goes by so fast, and you shouldn’t sweat the small stuff. If you’re planning a destination wedding abroad, hire a planner. Don’t let the tiny details and inevitable last-minute changes take away from the short wedding planning season.

Bringing Family Together at Their Romantic Paris Wedding

We were proud that we were able to unite my American family and friends with Lucas’ French loved ones. It was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime to have so many people we love and care about in the same place at the same time, and we feel proud that we made it happen. Plus, our grandparents were there, which we did not take for granted, and we felt very proud to share that moment with them.

Beyond Midnight: The Unforgettable Hour That Made Their Wedding Priceless

Our wedding was set to end at midnight, and I remember we were having the time of our lives when my wedding planner approached me to give me a 30-minute warning that it was almost over. We were having so much fun, truly the time of our lives, so Lucas and I decided to extend everything by an hour. The DJ, kitchen, bus driver, and everyone involved was willing to stay, and it was worth every single penny. That hour was one of the most magical of our lives.
