While ceremony and reception chairs may not be the most exciting aspect of your wedding decor, they’re arguably one of the most essential! Your chair choice can actually have a significant impact on the overall look of your day, especially since most weddings utilize the same chairs from ceremony to reception. If you’ve been looking for options to have your guests sitting pretty on your big day, consider one of these unique ceremony and reception chairs!

Tabouret Chairs

Tabouret chairs are an easy way to create a modern style on your wedding day. They pair perfectly with an industrial venue like a warehouse or urban space while providing a nice sense of contrast in a more natural setting like a farm or garden.

Parisian Bistro Chairs

Parisian bistro chairs, also called French bistro chairs, have a distinct woven pattern made of a synthetic or linen fabric across the back and seat. These seats are a great choice for beautifully curated vintage affairs and weddings with a touch of European influence.

Eames Molded Plastic Chairs

The Eames molded plastic chair is a total statement piece. The contemporary shape is sleek and unique, and if that sounds like the vibe of your big day, this chair is for you. We love a classic white Eames molded plastic chair, but we’re also fans of using them in bright colors for a dose of fun!

Bamboo Folding Chairs

Bamboo folding chairs may not be as versatile as other seating options on this list, but they serve an especially stylish purpose. If you’re having a tropical-inspired wedding or your style is influenced by Asiatic design, you’ll find that bamboo folding chairs flawlessly complete your look.

Ghost Chairs

Even though they’ve been trending for a few years, we still find ghost chairs in weddings novel and exciting. Modern, elegant, and unexpected, these clear chairs lend themselves to most wedding styles as they serve as a blank (literally) slate. Pair them with a stark black and white combo or a colorful palette depending on your wedding style.

Peacock Chairs

This last chair is a bit of a bonus because you likely wouldn’t use rows of peacock chairs in your ceremony or reception, but we wanted to mention them because they make for a stylish accent! Peacock chairs are great for sweetheart table seating and we especially love seeing couples sit in them during readings and performances at the ceremony.

  1. I love all these wedding chair ideas! The bamboo chairs are my favorite. We have never seen the peacock chairs at a wedding so that would be really neat. Great source of inspiration! Definitely bookmarking.
