Times are changing, and so is wedding fashion. While wearing white dresses is still a favorite of many, more and more soon-to-be newlyweds are choosing to opt for a jumpsuit or pantsuit–and we love when couples go against the grain and wear something unconventional to tie the knot.
If you’ve been searching for the perfect outfit for your unique “I do’s,” your courthouse elopement, or your even reception, these bridal jumpsuits are for you! Scroll on for sleek and chic jumpsuits, perfect for anyone looking for something a little out of the box.
Junebug Tip: Looking to wear a jumpsuit for your reception and want to stand out? Opt for something with a little bit of sparkle. Not only do you rarely get a chance to wear something with that much pizazz, but it also makes for some seriously fun photos.
When it comes to styling your wedding party, bridesmaids tend to get all the attention. But we’re here to set the record straight–groomsmen can be stylish showstoppers too. There is a multitude of options for the guys, from classic tuxedos to colorful groomsmen suits to patterned jackets. Each option has the potential to elevate your wedding party’s style as a whole, making your crew look polished and trendy.
Groomsmen Suit and Style Ideas
With the help of Brooklyn Brigade, we’re bringing you a quick and easy guide to styling your groomsmen. Their new wedding line–sold exclusively on their website–provides the essentials for dressing your groomsmen to the nines. Simply start by identifying your wedding’s dress code. From there, explore the different style choices that correspond with your wedding theme and location.
If you’ve chosen a casual dress code for your wedding, that doesn’t mean fashion is taking a back seat. You likely just want your wedding party and guests to feel comfortable. Instead of fretting about what to wear, you want them focused on the celebration.
The rules around casual attire are definitely the most relaxed, so the options for your groomsmen are plentiful. We suggest choosing a look that corresponds with your theme or location.
Boho or Rustic Wedding
If your wedding has a boho theme, you can be more playful with the menswear. You can destructure a typical suit and add unique accessories. Think textured vests, fun ties, or suspenders. You’ll be comforted to know that all of Brooklyn Brigade’s accessories are stain-resistant–ideal for even the most accident-prone groomsman. When it comes to colors, earth tones–like sage or terracotta–are perfect to incorporate into boho groomsmen style.
If you’re having a beach wedding, opt for lighter tones, like tan, dusty blue, or blush. And feel free to ditch the jackets and ties and stick to Brooklyn Brigade’s performance stretch dress shirts. They’re enhanced with moisture-wicking and cooling technology to help keep your guys comfortable and dry on even the hottest day. Complete the look withslacks and voilà! You have groomsmen ready for a tropical paradise.
Now is a great time to explain that wedding dress codes exist on a spectrum. If you’re not envisioning casual attire but also don’t want to require tuxedos and floor-length gowns, a formal or cocktail dress code might be perfect for you.
Formal is a step below black-tie but a step above cocktail. For a formal wedding, you don’t have to choose a tuxedo for your groomsmen. But you’ll still want to pick a dark color with a simple tie. Cocktail attire, on the other hand, allows for a little more leeway. This could look like a tailored suit in a fun color, with or without a tie.
Downtown weddings are modern, sleek, and fashion-forward. Groomsmen would look great in fresh, tailored suits in darker jewel tones like emerald or navy. While traditionally thought of for black-tie affairs, bow ties would make for a great sophisticated touch to your groomsmen suits.
For garden weddings, playfulness is more than welcome. Consider alternative fabrics for the groomsmen suits, such as lightweight tweed, linen, or Brooklyn Brigade’s knit separates. Their blazers and pants are soft, super stretchy, and made with quick-drying and odor-protection technologies.
And nothing says garden wedding quite like classic patterns–like plaid or polka dots. Add a patterned dress shirt to your groomsmen looks for an extra pop of personality.
The black-tie dress code is the strictest out of all the dress codes you will come across. It’s all about sophistication and uniformity. But that doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate some modern-day updates.
For the groomsmen, you should choose either a tuxedo or suit in a dark, solid color, a pleated white shirt, a bow tie, and black formal shoes. A cumberbund, waistcoat or vest are all optional. Just remember to choose only one of these additional pieces if you do decide to add more layers.
No matter the season or venue, a black tie wedding will require a very defined look for your groomsmen. Elegant and timeless are your goals, so stay away from patterns or light colors.
There you have it–our simple guide to styling your groomsmen. Make sure to check out Brooklyn Brigade’s wedding edit and use the code JBWEDDINGS for 15% off sitewide until November 10, 2022.

There’s nothing cuter than couples tying the knot at the place where they met for the first time–and that’s exactly what Dylan and Jeff did after their large summer wedding was postponed. The couple transformed Eden–an American eatery in Chicago–into a wedding venue full of roses and pampas grass arranged by Flowers for Dreams, muted grey decor, and candles galore.
Dylan looked timeless in her Bec + Bridge satin gown–which was initially her rehearsal dinner dress–and Jeff paired perfectly with the decor thanks to his grey ASOS suit. And although it’s a small detail, we love how lovestruck Dylan looked in the heart-shaped glasses she donned at the reception. So if you love killer wedding fashion, dreamy decor, and romantic tablescapes, you’re going to want to see these photos captured by We Are The Bowsers.
We wanted–and needed–to keep the wedding small, and my original wedding dress was a little too “grand” for a 15 person wedding, so I decided to wear the dress I purchased for the rehearsal dinner. This satin Australian-made gown by Bec + Bridge was almost too perfect with what we were going for.
Walking Down The Aisle With The Bride’s Father
Even though the aisle was only three rows long, I still wanted the experience of walking down the aisle with my dad. We walked down the aisle to ‘Crazy Love’ by Van Morrison. And although the aisle was short, the feeling of seeing my man staring back at me was just the best.
A Pantone Color Palette Wedding At A Memorable Spot
As soon as we decided to elope, I envisioned the day with our immediate family sitting around one large table, eating great food and drinking great wine. I loved that our family and friends went around the table as we were eating, sharing memories about us and their well wishes. The restaurant we chose was where we had our first date. We actually got married in the exact spot that we met for the very first time. The restaurant is also gorgeous and lent itself well to our vibe.
Congratulations again to Dylan and Jeff on their neutral and Pantone color palette wedding at Eden. Big thank you to We Are The Bowsers for sharing it with us. If you’re hosting your own micro wedding, check out our guide on how to host a creative micro wedding.

Sleek black and white attire, disco balls, and a dramatic reception outfit change—everything about this elegant winter wedding is stunningly epic. With the help of wedding planner Bubbly Events, Cassidy and Keenan we’re able to bring their dream reception to life after an intimate ceremony months before. Talk about the best of both worlds.
Wrightsville Manor—a historic venue located in North Carolina—created an enchanting atmosphere. It was complete with towering oak trees draped in twinkle lights and a cozy fireplace lined with floral arrangements by Designs by Dillon. To add a pop of color to their black and white fashion, this couple incorporated soft pink and yellow florals in the bouquet, along the fireplace mantle, and on the candle lit reception table.
This cozy celebration is packed with inspiration that couples will want to use as influence for their own chilly winter weddings. Don’t believe us? We’ll let these images from The Family Films speak for themselves. But make sure to have your Pinterest boards ready. We guarantee you’ll want to revisit these unique ideas.

Family Involvement Makes For a Personalized Day
My brother in law officiated our ceremony and he made it incredibly personal. He’s like a brother to me and very close with my husband so it was an honor to have him up there on our wedding day. We also had my dad do our communion which was an intimate moment to share together. Including our family during our ceremony was really important to us and helped make it feel more personal.
Watching Your Dream Become A Reality
We’re proud of the way the design came together. From disco balls to table settings, to the hanging tinsel, to my glitter pant suit—it just felt like us. We knew we wanted disco balls hanging in the clear tent for dancing but worked really hard to pull that detail into the ceremony and dinner while still trying to keep a romantic, elevated feeling. Overall the whole day was so aesthetically pleasing and while attention to detail drove us crazy some days, it paid off on the wedding day. We know weddings are about so much more than the design but watching your vision come to life is so special. Our talented wedding vendors really took our ideas and made it happen. They worked so hard for us and it definitely didn’t go unnoticed.
A Postponed Reception That Didn’t Disappoint
We didn’t really know what to expect for this “second” wedding. We didn’t think anything could top our intimate ceremony in March, but boy were we wrong! The most memorable part of the day was how overwhelming it all was—in a good way. We felt so loved by our friends, family, and vendors. It was really intimate still but we had the time of our lives. Everyone knew everyone and the day was full of emotion.
Our photographer is so special to us. We consider her family. This was our second wedding because of COVID and in March after we had to postpone everything, we decided to still get married at the beach with our immediate families. Our photographer offered to come in March so that we could have those memories on camera, which meant the world to us. By the time December came around Beks and her sister Anna (our videographer) just felt like family to all of us. Keenan and I felt so comfortable in front of them and their presence is truly such a gift to their couples.
Plan A Day That Authentically Celebrates You
I think my biggest piece of advice would be have a little fun with it! Don’t be afraid to do something you haven’t seen before. I think people thought I was crazy when I told them my idea, but disco balls brought me joy and my mom and I had so much fun envisioning the day together. It just doesn’t matter what everyone else thinks—if your dream day is disco balls and tinsel (like mine was) then just go for it!
A Surprise That Made This Elegant Winter Wedding Special
Since this was a COVID wedding a lot of our family members couldn’t be there. My sisters surprised us with a slideshow of videos from all of our favorite people who couldn’t be there. They wished us well and toasted with us. There wasn’t a dry eye for that portion of the day.
Dancing Under The Stars And Disco Balls
We danced for hours under a clear tent, with these beautiful hanging disco balls. It just felt like a dream. Everyone who was there was simply so happy to be together and were genuinely excited to finally get to celebrate Keenan and me so it felt really special.
Congratulations to Cassidy and Keenan on their elegant winter wedding. And big thanks to photographer The Family Films for preserving these intimate wedding day moments that’ll be cherished by this couple forever.
Cassidy and Keenan’s main piece of advice was to not “be afraid to do something you haven’t seen before” and we couldn’t agree more. If you’re wanting a wedding that’s unlike any other, we’re here to help. Kickstart your wedding planning process by checking out this guide for planning a unique wedding.
Give us all the fun-loving, ultra stylish vibes! We’re swooning over Michael and Eric’s black and white tropical wedding at The Belmont in Austin, Texas. From the looks of the awesome photos by Nikk Nguyen Photo, we’re wishing we were there to parade through the streets of Austin with this crew and their custom tambourines! If non-traditional wedding party outfits are your thing, you’re going to love this stylish crew who all wore the most fabulous wedding day suits. Get ready for lots of lush, green arrangements by Burlap & Rose and all the modern, black and white tropical wedding inspiration you could ever dream of.
Nikk was one of the first vendors that we secured, and boy, what a start to planning a wedding. Even before meeting him in person, we loved his laid-back, fun vibe and his vision of capturing authentic moments with such style. Those qualities shinned even brighter on the day of the wedding, and translated into an incredible product.
Knowing that The Belmont, our venue, already embodied a retro west coast vibe, filled with tropical plants and a sweet outdoor stage for bands, we wanted to really let that be the focus and built our style off of that. We mostly incorporated a black-and-white color scheme with our wedding party outfits and overall decor with hints of yellow and packed with an assortment of greenery all around the venue. That, and we had to top it off with a lot of camp because our marriage is built on always having spare wigs, sequin blazers, and feathered boas on hand.
We encouraged all of our guests to hit the bar, grab a drink, and watch the band perform before the start of everything. Then, with everyone huddled around, we got to stand alongside Eric‘s sister, Kerry, who officiated our wedding, and she knocked it out of the park. Kerry cultivated an incredibly thoughtful ceremony composed of precious memories and well-executed jokes. The two of us wrote and shared our own vows, and then, we let the band take it from there, as we danced down the aisle. Oh – and not to mention that we got married in the exact spot that we met nine years prior! It was the perfect balance of love, appreciation, and fun, for us.
Wedding planning advice from the couple: Be decisive; so much time can go by weighing various options (and there are a lot of options about a lot of different things!) so try to go with your gut and love your choice. Then, you can spend that otherwise lost time enjoying all of the moments of being engaged and planning a wedding. Interspersing plenty of wine dates is also crucial! And, try your hardest to laugh at the situations that can cause so much stress. There really is humor in many of those times if you can just let yourself step back and see it.
We wanted to bend the norms and have everybody wear suits regardless of gender, which was especially fun because most of our wedding party was composed of our close girl friends. They rocked a heigh-waisted, cropped pant suit, with an all-black stiletto to match. Some of the girls also wore black skinny ties, while others kept their white button-up open and accessorized with gold jewelry. Our groomsman wore a classic black suit, and we both wore black tuxedos. One of Eric‘s groomswomen, Bridget Galant, also customized perfectly gaudy “BITCH” earrings and a tie clip to adorn our favorite people. Our florist, Jen Clary, made incredible bouquets, stacked with Monstera deliciosa leaves, and put together boutonnières for the two of us, each with Billy Bolls.
We were fortune to have an event coordinator, Jen Clary at Burlap and Rose, support us with event planning (and therapy!) in the months leading up to the wedding. Her contagiously enthusiastic and empathetic temperament, alongside her excellent planning skills, made for a purely enjoyable wedding day. In addition to Jen, one of the best decisions that we ever made was to hire ILC Films to video our wedding. RuPaul says it best – 10s across the board. They made an aesthetically beautiful video that captured all the feels of the day. We watched the video daily for at least a solid month after the wedding (and right before we started to prepare these answers!).
In addition to providing wigs and feathered boas for all, we made personalized tambourines. They were wooden tambourines with sheep-skin drums, and Eric, I, and some of our friends spent hours one Saturday spray painting a personalized logo that Eric designed onto them.
