Classy, Simple, and Monochromatic Wedding

February 21, 2022 | kailey

There truly is beauty in simplicity. With the help of wedding planner Illumination Events Studio, Rick and Kashera’s classy, simple, and monochromatic wedding is proof that a minimalist wedding is forever timeless. With an intimate guest list, a neutral palette, and delicate floral arrangements, all the attention was pointed right where it should be—to the happy couple.

The couple fell in love with the Common House, booking the venue six months prior to its completion. Even though they’ve only seen the rendering of the building, their leap of faith paid off! From the statement blooms created by floral designer Weddings by Vogue to the meaningful book accents—the minimalist decor complemented the sleek open space. The same chic vibe carried over to the couple’s fashion choices as well. The groom rocked a crisp white tuxedo jacket and the bride stole the show in her elegant dress with long puffy sleeves.

If you’re into clean lines, natural colors, and modern architecture, scroll through these stunning photos captured by Taylor Devynn Photography and fall in love with the sophistication and simplicity of this monochromatic wedding.

A Monochromatic Wedding That Reflected Their Personalities

Our family and guests were impressed with our attention to detail, yet minimal approach. Between books as our centerpieces (literary theme), airy baby’s breath arches, and the sweet tunes of our favorite hometown band—our wedding was effortlessly beautiful.

The Most Memorable Part Of Their Big Day

Honestly, seeing each other for the first time is at the top of our list. We decided to skip the “first look” to preserve all raw emotions. When we locked eyes as Kashera walked down the aisle, we both felt the feels.

A Personalized Ceremony

We personalized our ceremony by hand picking all of the decor, jumping the broom to give a nod to our ancestors, and by having a very intimate ceremony, intentionally.

Memorable Wedding Favors

We decided to book a photo booth to capture fun, yet precious moments of our guests. The guests all received a copy of their photo strips physically and digitally and so did we! We used our physical copies of their photo strips as our wedding guest book, which was a huge hit. We also gave out personalized bookmarks to tie in the literary theme of the night.
