January 22, 2025 | Junebug Weddings

Find the best wedding websites for every budget and style, from free simple designs to high-end customizable options. Image by Branco Prata

Planning your wedding is an exciting journey, and one of the first things you’ll want to set up is your wedding website. A well-designed site keeps guests informed, helps with RSVPs, and adds a personal touch to your big day. But with so many wedding website builders out there, how do you choose the right one?

To make it easier, we’ve broken down the best wedding websites based on pricing, features, and usability. Whether you’re looking for a free, no-fuss solution or a high-end customizable site, this guide will help you find the perfect fit for your wedding needs.

The 8 Best Wedding Websites That Every Couple Should Know

1. Joy

Price: Free

What We Like: Joy is a completely free wedding website builder with a sleek, user-friendly interface. It offers an intuitive design, mobile-friendly layout, RSVP management, and a matching app for on-the-go updates. Plus, they’ve expanded their stationery offerings, allowing couples to order printed invites that match their wedding website.

What Could Be Better: Joy doesn’t offer custom domain names, and while their templates are modern, many designs lean toward floral and rustic aesthetics. Additionally, their photo uploader doesn’t allow resizing or repositioning, which can be limiting for couples with large images.

2. Zola

Price: Free

What We Like: Zola’s wedding website seamlessly integrates with their well-known registry platform, making it a convenient one-stop shop. Their website builder is simple, clean, and easy to navigate, even for tech novices. It includes RSVP tracking, registry integration, and matching digital invitations.

What Could Be Better: Zola’s customization options are limited, and certain text fields cannot be edited. Custom domain names are also not available, and there’s a persistent footer promoting Zola’s services at the bottom of each site.

3. Wix

Price: Free with ads, $17/month for premium

What We Like: Wix allows for a high degree of customization, letting couples adjust text, colors, and layouts to match their wedding vision. The drag-and-drop editor is user-friendly, and the photo uploader is one of the easiest to work with.

What Could Be Better: The free version includes a prominent Wix-branded banner, which can only be removed with a premium upgrade. While Wix offers flexibility, it may be overwhelming for couples who prefer a more guided setup.

4. Minted

Price: Free or one-time $15 upgrade to custom URL

What We Like: Known for their elegant wedding stationery, Minted provides matching website designs that coordinate with their invitation suites. Plus, the website builder is easy to use, offering a seamless way for couples to create a cohesive wedding aesthetic. Premium users get additional features, including a custom domain and photo gallery.

What Could Be Better: Minted’s website designs are fairly simple, lacking interactive or advanced features. If you’re looking for a highly customizable experience, other platforms may offer more flexibility.

5. Say I Do

Price: Free for up to 85 guests, $50-$99 for upgrades

What We Like: Say I Do offers an all-in-one platform for wedding planning, including guest list and RSVP management, seating charts, and digital announcements. It’s designed for ease of use, with templates that complement a variety of wedding styles.

What We Like: Appy Couple offers a feature-rich experience with a private app for guests, digital RSVPs, and fun extras like interactive photo-sharing. Their designs are modern and stylish, often created in collaboration with top designers.

What Could Be Better: Customization is somewhat restricted, as there are only two main layouts to choose from. The one-time payment might also feel steep compared to free alternatives.

7. Squarespace

Price: $16/month – $16/month, 14-day free trial

What We Like: Squarespace is perfect for couples who want a visually striking wedding website with elegant photo galleries. The site builder is sleek, modern, and packed with customization options.

What Could Be Better: Squarespace is more expensive than many other options, and its features are geared toward business users rather than weddings. Some couples may feel they’re paying for extras they don’t need.

You’re Not Going to Want to Miss This Summer Camp Come to Life Wisconsin Wedding

June 17, 2024 | justine

Tori and Jared had a clear vision for their big day: a celebration of their love and the cherished community that surrounded them. With this in mind, they curated every detail with care, ensuring that each element reflected their deep gratitude to their loved ones. Opting for a summer camp Wisconsin wedding, they transformed their celebration into an immersive experience, brimming with unique touches and heartfelt gestures that left everyone feeling not just invited but truly valued and cherished.

For their greenhouse forest ceremony, the couple exchanged vows under a beautiful canopy of trees. This was followed by an atrium reception adorned with romantic floral arrangements and the soft glow of candles and string lights. Later, they danced the night away, transitioning to a lively silent disco that kept the celebration going strong.

With overall guiding themes of “Velvet & Glass,” “Kayaking & Canoeing,” and “Minnesota Love,” the pair truly pulled out all the stops for their wedding. Captured beautifully by Junebug vendor J. Olson Weddings, their Wisconsin wedding is filled with creative, steal-worthy ideas that made the day unforgettable for everyone involved.

The Couple:

Tori and Jared

The Wedding:

The Atrium, Solon Springs, Wisconsin, United States

Navigating Wedding Planning with Gratitude For Their Loved Ones

Despite occasional decision fatigue and overwhelming choices, we focused on our north star of “community first.” A wedding is as much about the couple as it is about the community supporting them. Prioritizing our community helped us manage planning stress and keep our loved ones’ happiness in mind. Our guiding themes were “Velvet & Glass,” “Kayaking & Canoeing,” and “Minnesota Love.” With these themes, we organized special events for early arrivals, created a memorial station built by my father, displayed framed artwork with a family tree vibe, and set up a private booth for personal recordings. Guided by gratitude, we opened our prep rooms in the morning, leading to an unforgettable day filled with meaningful experiences.

How Their Vows at The Atrium Symbolized Community Connection

The Atrium’s Greenhouse offers a magical forest ceremony location, complete with oak forest aisles and railroad tie seating for a fairy tale atmosphere, weather permitting. One memorable moment was the birds singing in the trees. I surprised Jared with a secret rendition of “All I Want is You” from Juno, performed by our live guitarist during the aisle song, which almost brought him to tears. Our vows focused on gratitude towards our community, acknowledging that our celebration wouldn’t have been possible without their love and support. We pledged to include and support them beyond this day, emphasizing that we’re all together.

Navigating Wedding Day Surprises with Grace and Gratitude

Our advice: have a plan, but also be open to letting it go for spontaneous moments of beauty. As they say, “Surround yourself with people who plan in decades but live in moments.” Enjoy the planning process, but if it becomes overwhelming, trust that your loved ones will make the day everything it needs to be and more.

How Their Summer Camp Wisconsin Wedding Venue Mirrored Their Upbringing and Passions

We wanted a venue that wasn’t just beautiful and available but also represented our backgrounds. Jared grew up on a Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm cultivating flowers and vegetables. While studying forestry, I was raised camping, portaging, and canoeing. We pondered how to merge these two aspects to reflect ourselves in the space. When we discovered a greenhouse with a forest as a ceremony space, we knew we had found a needle in a haystack, a true gem symbolizing the places we call home.

Creating a Personalized Celebration Without a Traditional Party

We didn’t have a traditional wedding party. Instead, I created roles tailored to my relationships. These included “Dress Queen” for dress research and styling on the day, “Party Queen” in charge of the bachelorette party, and “Mission Control” handling behind-the-scenes needs. Friends stepped up for these roles, recognizing the non-traditional approach. This flexible arrangement relieved pressure from a singular maid of honor or best man. Without formal parties, friends and family came and went from our suite as they pleased, creating a relaxed atmosphere. As an introvert, I appreciated having loved ones nearby during prep. Moments like the “Dress Queen” gifting a book of letters from meaningful people emerged organically. Opening the morning to all guests allowed for unexpected, memorable moments and candid photos.

Empowering Family Members to Create Meaningful Decor at Their Summer Camp Wisconsin Wedding

We didn’t personally DIY anything, as we trusted our wedding venue experts and lacked crafty skills. However, many family members were skilled in crafts, so we empowered them to bring their vision to life with art installations and floral arrangements. Even if we hadn’t liked the flowers (which we did!), they would have still represented our loved ones, which was most important to us. Additionally, we found a local seamstress to create colorful velvet table runners, adding a vibrant touch to our decor.

Unique Favors at Their Summer Camp Wisconsin Wedding Celebrating Their Themes and Family Heritage

Our favors were small, local hot sauce bottles with a sewn patch with our wedding emblem from our father’s artwork installation. Our theme of “Minnesota Love” got to shine with the local hot sauce, and the other theme of “Kayaking & Canoeing” got to shine in the patches for friends and family to sew on their many backpacks or outdoor gear.

Tips for Buying a Used Wedding Dress

March 8, 2024 | riley

Buying a used wedding dress can be a savvy way to save money without compromising on style for your big day. Not to mention it’s one of the easiest ways to incorporate sustainability into your celebration. However, it’s crucial to approach this process with some caution, armed with the right knowledge to ensure you’re making a wise and informed decision. The last thing you want to do is spend money

on what you think is your dream wedding dress only to find that there are issues you weren’t aware of. That’s why we’re breaking down seven tips for buying a used wedding dress so you can walk away feeling confident in your choice.

Tips for Buying a Used Wedding Dress

Do Your Research

Before you start your used wedding dress shopping, take some time to research different styles, designers, and prices. This will give you a better idea of what you’re looking for and how much you should expect to pay. Of course, the prices are going to vary depending on what condition the dress is in and the designer. For example, if the dress has never been worn or altered before, you can expect to pay more. Additionally, it’s important to familiarize yourself with reputable websites and bridal shops that specialize in selling pre-owned dresses.

Some great ones to start looking at include:

Know Your Measurements

Unlike buying a new dress off the rack, chances are you won’t have the luxury of making brand-new alterations when purchasing a used wedding dress. Be sure to know your exact measurements and compare them to the seller’s sizing chart before purchasing. Keep in mind that wedding dress sizes can vary widely between designers, so don’t be surprised if you end up ordering a size larger or smaller than your usual size. Wedding dress sizing is drastically different than street clothes, so focus less on the number and more on the measurements and how it’s going to make you feel.

Inspect the Dress

When considering a used wedding dress, careful inspection is crucial.  An in-depth examination should check for any signs of wear and tear, such as stains, loose threads, or missing beads. These details might be overlooked in the excitement of finding a dress you love, but could potentially lead to costly repairs and disappointments.

If you’re buying online–which is becoming increasingly common–ask the seller for detailed pictures from different angles. It’s also worth asking for close-up photos of any imperfections. Remember, minor issues can often be fixed relatively easily, but significant damage might not be worth the cost of repair. Strike a balance between your love for the dress and its condition.

Ask Questions

Don’t hesitate to reach out to the seller with any questions or concerns you may have about the dress. Inquire about its history, including how many times it has been worn and whether any alterations have been made. You may also want to ask if the dress has been professionally cleaned and preserved.

Check the Fit

Fit is another critical factor to consider when buying a used wedding dress. As we mentioned earlier, most wedding dresses have been custom-altered to fit the original bride. That’s why precise measurements from you and the seller are vital.

Remember, it’s usually easier and less costly to alter a dress that’s too big than one that’s too small. You can only let out a dress so much (and we don’t recommend shredding for the wedding just to fit into a dress). Also, think about the potential cost of alterations in your budget. It’s not uncommon to overlook this aspect, but it can significantly impact your overall wedding dress budget.

Authenticity and Price

Ensuring the dress’s authenticity is especially important if you’re considering a designer piece. Don’t be shy about asking for proof of purchase or an authenticity certificate if available. Research is your friend here–knowing the original price of the dress will help you ensure that the used dress is priced significantly lower, considering its condition and age. Beware of deals that seem too good to be true, because they often are.

Budget for Alterations

Even if you find a used wedding dress in excellent condition, chances are you’ll still need some alterations to achieve the perfect fit. Be sure to budget for these additional costs when calculating the total price of the dress. Depending on the extent of alterations needed, you may also want to factor in the cost of hiring a professional seamstress.

21 Unique Wedding Ideas You’ve Probably Never Heard of Before

January 24, 2024 | riley
unique wedding ideas hero image

Image by Kelsey Justice Photography. Keep scrolling for unique wedding ideas you’re going to want for your big day

The days of tradition have come and gone. As the years go by, more engaged couples are throwing out the wedding planning “rule book” and doing things their own way–and we’ve never been more excited about it. Although there’s nothing with sticking to tradition, we love seeing newlyweds plan the wedding of their dreams. So, if you’re looking for unique wedding ideas that you have not seen all over the internet, you’re in luck. We’ve seen some pretty special additions in our years and now we’re sharing them with you!

21 Unique Wedding Ideas

1. Leave The First Row Open For Wedding Party

While the tradition is for your wedding party to stand beside you, you can switch it up by leaving the first rows open for them to sit and enjoy the ceremony with your other guests. This allows them to relax, get off their feet, and get a better view of you exchanging your vows.

2. Stand On Opposite Sides

If you want your wedding parties to stand up with you, try this instead. Typically, you stand on the same side as your wedding party as well as your family members. While there’s nothing wrong with this, if you want your wedding party and family members to see your face throughout your ceremony, consider swapping sides. For example, a groom would stand by the bridesmaids, and the bride would stand by the groomsmen. This gives your loved ones a chance to see your face rather than your back.

3. Send a Mood Board With the Color Palette in the Wedding Invitation

Want all of your guests to dress in a specific color palette? Send them a mood board with the color palette of your choice in their wedding invitation. This way they can take the mood board with them while they are shopping for an outfit. Just think about how cohesive your photos will look! Share your mood board with Lovebird, an innovative platform streamlining wedding guest communication, allowing you to share all the important details and seamlessly collect information from guests with elegance, grace, and ease.

4. Flower Grandma

While we absolutely love little flower girls, assigning the role to your grandmother is an adorable way to include her in your ceremony. She’ll feel honored that you asked to her be a part of your special day and your guests will get a kick out of seeing her walk down the aisle with her basket of flowers.

5. Wedding Day Scent

You’ve probably heard about choosing a specific perfume or cologne for your wedding day (which we are all for), but have you considered incorporating a wedding day scent through candles or diffusers? That’s right. Having scented candles on your reception table and lighting them during dinner is an easy way to encapsulate your special day. When you’re in the mood to be reminded of your wedding years later, you can simply light a candle with that scent and be taken back to one of the most cherished days of your life.

6. Monobloom Wedding Party Bouquets

More often than not, a bridal bouquet is made up of multiple different flowers. And, in the past, bridesmaids typically carried bouquets that were very similar to the bride’s bouquet (aka also made up of the same different flowers). However, if you’re looking for something unique, consider having each member of your bridal party carry a bouquet of one singular flower type that makes up your bouquet. For example, one bridesmaid may carry a bouquet of sprayed roses, while another carries rununculas.

@xxmrsbunnxx A GENIUS wedding idea! 7. Incorporating Love Notes

Do you and your significant other share love notes with one another? Share these notes with your guests as wedding decor. Whether you use them as signage or put them on cocktail napkins like this couple did, it’s a great way to showcase your love story in a unique way. And your guests will love getting a glimpse of your love story leading up to your big day.

8. Have An “In Memorial” Table

If you have family members who have passed, put together an “in memorial” table comprised of photos, memorabilia, and some of their favorite foods and beverages. It’s a unique way to honor them and the life they lived.

9. Unity Shot or Drink

Get the party started early with a unity shot or cocktail/beer during the ceremony. If you want your guests to be included, doing so at the very end before sealing the deal with a kiss is a great way to get everyone involved. If you want it to be just you and your partner, incorporate it into your readings.

Not a fan of a drink or shot? That’s okay. We’ve rounded up 15 other unique unity ceremony ideas!

10. Create a QR Code + Shared Album

There’s a good chance that your guests are going to be taking lots of photos during your special day. There’s also a good chance that you never get to see these photos or they’re added to an Instagram story for a short 24 hours. If you want your guests to share their photos with you, create a Google shared album and a QR code that links to said album and place it throughout the wedding decor. This gives people the chance to quickly upload their pictures so that you can have them forever.

If you’re worried that guests will forget because they’re partying too hard, you can also include the code on your thank-you notes. This allows them to upload when they’re not focused on dancing and celebrating your love.

11. Photo Scavenger Hunt

Speaking of photos, if you’re looking for another way to gather photos from your guests (while keeping them entertained), host a photo scavenger hunt. Create a list of specific photos to take, and then encourage them to upload them to a shared album. To up the anty, put a prize on the line.

12. Walk Down The Aisle Together

Whether your parents have passed or they’re not going to be attending, walking down the aisle together is a memorable way to begin your new life as newlyweds. You get to walk hand-in-hand with your partner in life as you embark on your new journey.

13. Walk Towards Your Guests

Typically, whoever is walking down the aisle toward their partner walks through their guests. Guests then typically have to shift their attention back to see you. To keep everyone facing forward (allow your partner to be the first one to see you walking down the aisle, thus putting an emphasis on your love), consider walking towards your guests.

14. Have A Social Media Minute

You’ve most likely heard of an unplugged ceremony, but have you heard of a social media minute? While we’re sure you’d love your guests to stay off their phones, they often don’t listen–even when you specifically let them know it’s unplugged. To give them the chance to capture the footage and photos they want, host a social media minute where they’re allowed to take their phones out and take as many photos and videos as they want. The easiest way to do this is to have your officiant announce it towards the end of your ceremony.

15. Have a Cocktail Wall or Self Serve Bar

We’ll always be a fan of regular reception bars. But if you’re looking to take things up a notch and stand out, consider creating a cocktail wall or self-serve bar. This could include staff passing out drinks when the bell is rung or beer or wine that guests can pour with a handle.

16. Custom Pizza Boxes

Are you and your fiancee pizza lovers? Considering having pizza served as a late-night snack? Although this is a small detail, it makes for some killer photos that you’re going to love. Use custom pizza boxes and add a message to the top of the pizza using ricotta or pepperoni.

17. Rent a Bouncy House

Jump back into the past with a bouncy house during your reception, and we promise all of your guests will feel like children again–just be mindful if you have an open bar!

18. Print a Wedding Newspaper

If you’re hosting a wedding weekend and you want to share your itinerary in a unique way, consider a wedding newspaper. You can include everything from your love story to a schedule to recommendations for food and things to do (especially if it’s a destination wedding).

19. A Coffee Truck

As more and more couples opt for an alcohol-free or brunch wedding, we’re seeing more couples in search of other fun drink options for their guests. Whether you and your partner are huge coffee lovers or you just want to help guests get a little pick-me-up, a coffee truck or station is the perfect way to keep the party going without drinking. Still want alcohol, too? Do both!

20. Create a Time Capsule

Instead of a guest book, create a time capsule where your guests can write messages or predictions for the future. Seal them in the “capsule” of your choice, pick a time to open it, and read them years later. It will be the perfect way to reminisce on your big day and create new memories with your loved ones.

21. Guess the First Dance

You can never have too many ways to entertain your guests. To get them involved, create a “guess the first dance” game, with the chance of winning a bottle of champagne or another prize of your choice.

November 21, 2023 | justine

Jennifer and Nicholas went on a journey to discover the perfect venue, exploring many Miami locations. However, they yearned for something truly unique. So, they took a leap of faith and planned a trip to Cartagena, where their gamble paid off. They were immediately captivated by the city’s vibrant colors and stunning designs. With their hearts brimming with inspiration drawn from the enchanting Spanish romance of the city, their Sofitel Legend Santa Clara wedding was a resounding success–a day that beautifully represented their dreams and love.

Set against the backdrop of enchanting garden views, their team of pros set the stage for a truly magical ceremony with an aisle adorned with white blooms and a lush arch. For their ballroom reception, they seamlessly blended 17th-century architecture with timeless romance. To create a dreamy atmosphere, they adorned the space with greenery and rattan pendant lighting, casting a warm glow over a tablescape filled with flowers, candles, and elegant gold accents.

Captivated by Spanish Romance: Their Journey to a Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Wedding

The inspiration for our wedding was Spanish romance. We knew we wanted our venue to have a lot of character and elegance. The architecture of the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara stood out to us, giving our wedding the ambiance we were looking for. We were immediately inspired by the animals, fruits, colors, and designs of Cartagena and embraced romance by using a soft color palette and warm lighting. We worked extremely hard with our wedding planner to nail down the details. We came up with a mood board using Pinterest.

Crafting an Informal and Personal Ceremony through Music and Family Ties

The most memorable part of the day was our ceremony, where Jen’s uncle married us. Our loved ones surrounded us on one of the Colonial Terraces of the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara. Everything we dreamed of became our reality, with beautiful white roses and musicians playing in the background. We spent countless hours envisioning what our perfect day would be, and the actual moment surpassed our expectations. We personalized our ceremony by having Jen’s uncle, Michael, marry us. This was a very informal yet personal ceremony that had our guests crying and laughing simultaneously. Michael shared firsthand memories of our ten-year relationship that all of the guests had been a part of. We have had such a long journey together, which has created many memories with each person at our wedding. We felt our ceremony was a representation of our love story.

Advice on How to Make Wedding Planning Enjoyable

Enjoy the process! It can sometimes feel overwhelming, but it is an experience worth the hard work. Cherish each moment with your partner. We made sure to have fun in every phase of the process, from creating wax seals in our kitchen at 1 a.m. to traveling across the United States to ask our closest friends to be part of our wedding. The planning process is about creating this beautiful day to celebrate your love and commitment, and our wedding planner and a great team of professional vendors guided us.

Transforming Their Reception by Bringing the Outdoors In

We worked so hard to create a unique space for our story. We wanted to have a lot of details that were meaningful and represented us as a couple. Using watercolor illustrations, a soft, neutral color palette, warm lighting, and foliage to tie the space together, we wanted to bring the outdoor elements into our indoor reception. We are most proud of our reception design.

From Pinterest Dream to Reality: How They Brought Their Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Wedding to Life

We live in Miami and wanted our wedding to feel like a big family vacation, so we opted for a destination wedding. We wanted our venue to represent the architectural and natural style we enjoy. We found the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara through Pinterest, which felt at the time unattainable. After visiting many Miami venues, we decided to take the risk and plan a trip to Cartagena. It was unexpectedly everything we wanted for our wedding. From the food to the beautiful, colorful architecture, we knew our family and friends would have a blast. Cartagena offered many different activities that we could plan for our guests. This allowed us to prepare an entire weekend of celebrations.

This Lunikhy Game Farm Wedding Was a Disco in the Bush

November 4, 2023 | justine

Drawn to the wild’s allure, Kirsty and Baz decided to make their big day a nature-filled adventure. With their background running a safari lodge in Botswana, it was only fitting for them to exchange vows in the heart of the wilderness. A destination wedding felt like the perfect choice since they were certain that their getaway would be shared with their nearest and dearest. And with the help of their team of vendors, their “Disco in the Bush” vision was executed beautifully. These lovebirds went all out, creating a Lunikhy Game Farm wedding that was truly extraordinary and filled with the spirit of adventure.

Amidst the wild beauty of the safari landscape, the couple declared their everlasting love. After the ceremony, it was time for a fab and dreamy tented reception. Beneath those sparkling fairy lights, guests were greeted with tables decked out with delicate blooms and earthy touches. They added a touch of glitz and glam to the bush atmosphere with rich textures and a pink color palette. And let’s not forget the pink floral clouds and shimmering mirror balls above—they were the absolute show-stoppers, adding an extra dose of pizzazz to the whole scene.

The couple organized a fantastic five-day celebration, and what’s more impressive, they kept it all within their budget. If you’re seeking inspiration for an enchanting safari wedding, this is it. Keep scrolling to soak in all the breathtaking details, from the beginning to the end, perfectly captured by Nina Buys Photography.

An Epic Getaway: The Story of Their Five-Day Lunikhy Game Farm Wedding

Lunikhy Game Farm was 1/3 of the price of a venue in Cape Town, and our guests came for five days. Because it was a destination wedding, we wanted it to work out that once the guests arrived, they didn’t have to go anywhere for five days. So we made sure there were plenty of fun activities to do and enough downtime to share and catch up with our nearest and dearest. Everyone stayed there, and we had a blast. At sunset, we were given a game-driving vehicle to drive around and look at giraffes, buffalo, zebras, etc. Every night, we had a bonfire, hired a clay pigeon shooting company for a day, had a lamb on a spit, played cricket, and had a blast with our friends and family.

Making the Most of Their Destination Wedding Budget

We originally started looking at venues in Cape Town. Then, once we found Lunikhy Game Farm for a fraction of the price, we tried to keep our overall budget close to our original Cape Town venue budget. This venue included so much, and it was so beautiful. They also had their own caterer (garden to table) and in-house decor company; everything was there in one place, and they recommended other vendors, too. We also knew we had the kind of friends and family that would travel for us, so we also considered that. Our budget was R300,000, which is about $16,000. I’d advise couples to look at a destination wedding in a cheaper country like South Africa or Bali, where your money goes far, and you get to have more than one day with your bests!

Setting Spending Priorities and Making Wise Spending Choices

We did our own hair and makeup. I prefer a natural look, so I saved money on that and added more to florals and booze. I knew I wanted wavy, loose hair and neutral makeup. Also, I bought my dress on a sample sale and sold it after the wedding, bringing some costs down. A tailor-made my husband’s suit from Etsy, who was based in Turkey. We just had him measured professionally. Work out what your priorities are. Don’t go cheap on the photographer, and do your research. That’s the part of the wedding that you get to keep forever. It’s how you get to share your day forever.

Crafting the Perfect Wedding Playlist to Set the Fun Tone

Our music playlist was on point. I’m an old-school 70’s and 80’s vibe girl. So when we were announced as husband and wife and came dancing into the Beach Boys’ “I Get Around.” All our friends were clapping and dancing straight to our champagne fountain—we felt like rock stars. Also, the fact that our wedding and playlist were so much fun that everyone started dancing before dinner and before we officially opened the dance floor says it all. We are music-loving, dancing folk, so we took the time to plan the playlist. The DJ asked for 30 “must-play” songs, and we gave 60.

Adding a Fun and Personalized Touch to Their Seating Chart

Hubs and I are “nicknamers,” and because we only had 65 guests, we used everyone’s nicknames for the seating chart. It was so funny and sweet seeing everyone laugh and find their seats, and it was also a conversation starter among the guests—Mole, Stars, Mango, Foreskin being some of them.

How Trusting the Pros Simplified the Wedding Planning Experience

If your venue allows for extra hours, do it. We (including my parents and my mom, who doesn’t drink) danced until 3 a.m. For the rest of the planning, we let my vendors, the professionals, take the wheel. We briefed them on the vibe and budget and let them do their job. They delivered. Give the professionals creative freedom and give yourself less work. Also, we didn’t have a planner, but our venue gave us the option of a planner on the day, which is a 100% must-do.

Choosing Champagne over Traditional Wedding Cake

We did family-style dining, which was great. The venue advised us because people get so excited and drink that, they sometimes don’t want to eat a lot and then feel bad about it. Also, we didn’t do a wedding cake, we did a champagne tower. I’ve been to so many weddings and other than the photo, the wedding cake is wasted and expensive. Everyone drinks champagne, though.

Mady Noel Photo’s Insights About This New York Elopement Inspiration

Courthouse weddings have become so popular, which is fantastic because I love them. I keep seeing the same cute little white dresses all over the place. They’re so fun, but I wanted to add bold color to this styled shoot. So, the Calluna dress by STAUD was what we built the whole shoot on. My favorite photos are the ones with Eric and Elisa running out of the building. They fully encapsulate the feral joy I hope people feel when they get married. I love NYC, specifically Brooklyn. I love how photographing people walking down the street can be visually interesting, so I wanted to incorporate that in this shoot.

Epic Las Vegas Destination Elopement at The Little White Chapel

August 24, 2023 | justine

Molly and Adam had always held a special place in their hearts for the allure of Las Vegas. In fact, it was right there at the very top of their must-see destinations. Let’s be honest, who can resist the glitz and glamor that this city has to offer? But the cherry on top of their Vegas dreams was an unforgettable Las Vegas destination elopement. Picture this: a celebration just for two, in the spotlight of the iconic Little White Chapel, exchanging vows inside none other than Elvis’ legendary pink Cadillac. Now that’s what we call a rock ‘n’ roll wedding!

They kicked the day off with a dip in the rooftop pool, soaking in stunning views of the bustling strip below. Once they were ready, a fancy limo took them to the chapel. The sun was setting as they tied the knot on the pink Cadillac. After the drive-through ceremony, their adventure took them to the iconic Las Vegas sign, where they immortalized their big day with portraits. Returning to their hotel room, they indulged in a heart-shaped cake, savoring every bite, all while basking in the day’s happiness.

These lovebirds didn’t overlook a single detail, making sure everything aligned perfectly with the classic Vegas vibe they were after. It was an intimate affair, just the two of them, but their intention was to ensure their loved ones back home could share in their joy. And thankfully, Erin Roberts was there to capture every single moment. If your wedding style is out-of-the-box unconventional, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this elopement. Keep on scrolling to delve into their remarkable journey and find some inspiration of your own.

The Couple:

Molly and Adam

The Wedding:

The Little White Chapel, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States

How Their Las Vegas Destination Elopement Came To Be

We simply booked our holiday to Las Vegas. We added on a package at the Little White Chapel but came at it from the mindset that we were booking a pre-planned holiday excursion, which was the best excursion ever! We had no budget as we were going on holiday. We weren’t saying “no” to anything or making second guesses and would think about any consequences later.

The Reason They Tied The Knot at The Little White Chapel

We chose The Little White Chapel because of its history and is one of the most famous chapels in the world. As we are from the UK, it was the only place we would have chosen in Vegas. There were many options, but the iconic pink Cadillac ticked our box for style. What more could you ask of Las Vegas? Pink is also my favorite color.

Embracing Vegas Vibes with Fashion-Forward Bridal Attire

Molly: My attire blended modern elegance and classic showgirl charm. My short dress was adorned with sequins and feathers, and the two-tiered veil carried a personalized touch with ‘Viva Las Vegas’ written at the bottom. Christian Louboutin sparkling shoes added a touch of glam, matching my red bouquet of feathers and pearl-encrusted roses. Red Ace of Hearts on my nails (the “A” representing Adam) and a “10k dollar bill” clutch brought playful details, while a cherished heirloom ring held sentimental value. Paying homage to old Hollywood glam, I later switched into a tight diamante-covered white dress paired with diamond-studded cowboy boots featuring eagle motifs, capturing the desert essence of Vegas. Heart-shaped sunglasses sealed the look.

Channeling Classic Groom Elegance for Las Vegas Destination Elopement

Adam: I opted for a suave deep black tuxedo with satin lapels, drawing inspiration from vintage Hollywood charm. My silver and diamante embellished dice cufflinks added pizzazz to the suit. A double-breasted black waistcoat for elegance, while black rhinestone-covered shoes added character to my soles. The satin black bow tie exuded sophistication, and I embraced an Elvis-style with gold aviators, a nod to the King himself (picked up from a souvenir shop). To add a personal touch, I wore deep red socks for a subtle pop of color.

Embracing Authenticity: Creating Their Own Path in Vegas

Our wedding day is and will always be one of our most unforgettable memories. The whole day was special because it was so easygoing and stress-free. We started the morning by the rooftop pool at the Cosmopolitan, enjoying the fantastic view of the nearby strip, sipping cocktails, and having some fast food. We sunbathed, took a refreshing swim, and then returned to our room to prepare. Our photographer took natural photos before we hopped into a champagne-filled limo to head to The Little White Chapel. The sun was setting when we exchanged our vows, and we got a fantastic picture at the famous Las Vegas sign in perfect lighting. We felt fantastic walking through the casino, sipping martinis, and feeling like a million dollars. Remember, your wedding day is all about what you want, and you don’t need to worry about other people’s opinions or traditions. It’s your special day, so make it yours.

More Than Just Photos: Building Bonds Beyond the Lens

We booked Erin Roberts almost two years ahead, and throughout this time, she shared her wealth of knowledge about Vegas—from cake makers to floral artists. She was more than a photographer; she became a pen pal and a dear friend, a bond that’s now profoundly cherished. This connection is truly reflected in our photos. It was as if she truly understood us, and there was no way I could find fault with her work. She made us feel completely at ease, going the extra mile by taking care of my bouquet and delivering it to our hotel! Being a part of her gallery is a genuine honor that I treasure.

Sharing Their Special Day With Friends and Family Through Photographs

What truly stands out to us is how our photographer skillfully captured the very essence of our unique day. Our primary focus was to convey raw emotion and let our genuine selves radiate, especially since our dear friends and family couldn’t be there. A couple of snapshots hold exceptionally precious memories. One by the Las Vegas sign features me flashing a peace sign while Adam enjoys a bottle of champagne. Another favorite is us strolling away from Elvis’ car, my bouquet held high, and both beaming joyfully. These images are part of my “Sneak Peek” album, where our happiness and personalities genuinely shine. These moments, captured so perfectly, felt like the ultimate snapshots of our Vegas wedding. These cherished photos would be shared with everyone back home, amplifying their significance. Moreover, we take immense pride in how seamlessly our styles blended, culminating in an unforgettable and distinctly memorable aesthetic.
