Rooftop Farm Wedding At Brooklyn Grange Sunset Park

April 20, 2023 | kailey

Weddings are all about celebrating the joining of two lives. That also means the merging of two families and sometimes two cultures or religions. This was the case when it came time for Brice and Alexander to tie the knot. When picturing their rooftop farm wedding, they envisioned a day that honored both Jewish and Christian traditions. And while planning an interfaith celebration isn’t always the most straightforward task, with the help of BLB Events, they absolutely nailed it.

With New York City skyline views in the distance, Brooklyn Grange Sunset Park served as a dreamy blank canvas that allowed this couple to bring their floral-filled vision to life. They kicked off the day by exchanging heartfelt vows under a traditional chuppah and the summer sun. After the garden cocktail hour, guests made their way to the indoor reception space adorned with long wooden banquet-style tables, seasonal blooms by Aster & Fir, floral garland, and twinkle lights.

From the vibrant color palette to the patterned bridesmaid dresses, Junebug photographer Elvira Kalviste captured every detail that reminds us how oh-so-special summer celebrations truly are. And if you’re not yet sold on an outdoor ceremony, you will be after catching one glimpse of these inspo-rich photos.

Wedding Planning Advice: Don’t Ask For Too Much Advice

Lots of things come to mind, but namely, don’t ask too many people for advice. Don’t show anyone your wedding dress or suit if you can help it–no one else needs to love it but you. Similarly, don’t ask people about the flowers or food they like in the hopes of pleasing other people. This day is just meant to be a reflection of the couple that is getting married, and everyone will love it if the couple looks happy.
