Cool, Colorful, And Absolutely Luxurious Industrial Wedding Celebration

March 29, 2021 | kailey

luxurious industrial wedding

A bold color palette, a colorful confetti entrance, and an epic wedding day playlist assembled by the bride and groom—we can’t think of a more exciting way to exchange “I do’s.” Nikki and Remi’s luxurious industrial wedding was a fun-filled day that had us wishing we were singing and dancing along with the guests.

From the venue to the florals, every detail was organized by the couple with intentionality in mind. The Loft Studios London—a refurbished Victorian warehouse event space with jaw-dropping vaulted ceilings and exposed brick—proved to be the perfect space for a large yet intimate celebration. The couple dreamed of colors as bold as their love and the floral arrangements, by Wild Renata Flowers, didn’t disappoint.

We’re grateful photographer Epic Love Story captured every detail and laugh from this cool, colorful, and luxurious industrial wedding. Get your Pinterest boards ready because this inspo-rich London celebration is sure to spark wedding planning creativity.

How To Personalize Your Wedding On A Budget

Our advice is to carefully process the why behind every added detail, during the wedding planning process. Is this something you’ll notice on the day or are you doing it just because you think you should? We consistently took time to re-assess if things were really what we wanted. Small details can add a lot to the day but they can also be expensive. We decided to trade favors, formal postal invitations, and a big expensive cake for more memorable wedding day details picked by each of us. I can honestly say that there isn’t one detail I regret.

A Luxurious Industrial Wedding With Epic Entrances

It’s difficult to pick just one memorable moment of the day, so we’ve selected two. The first being our venue entrance to Tubthumping by Chumbawamba. Our guests were dancing as everyone threw confetti. The second being our dinner entrance where the whole room sang along to Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader. We loved spending hours working out songs and playlists for the day. Seeing everyone laughing, singing and dancing together was an incredible experience.

Magically Opulent And Elegant Merida Destination Wedding

March 26, 2021 | riley

With a shared love of travel, Jessica and Jonathan knew they would say “I do” in one of their favorite countries–Mexico. After settling on Hacienda Yaxcopoil–without ever seeing it in person–the couple’s dreamy glamorous old-Hollywood day came to fruition thanks to planner Tailor Made Dreams. With simple rattan decor and orchids and Calla Lilies arranged by Pure Love Floral, the focus remained on the beauty of the venue’s lush palm trees and old-world facade.

Along with the natural decor, we can’t stop dreaming about Jessica’s Pronovias gown, which she fell in love with because “the subtle beading reminded [her] of palm fronds,” which matched the hacienda’s greenery beautifully. Not to mention Jonathan looked Rico Suave in his cream linen Suit Supply tux, perfect for the warm Mexican sunshine.

So get those bags packed (and don’t forget the sunscreen) because this wedding–beautifully captured by Ana Hinojosa–will transport you right into the heart of the jungle.

Wedding Advice From The Bride

Destination wedding or not, don’t compromise on your vision before finding out if it’s possible! I wasn’t sure my vision would work out, but after exploring and talking to a few local wedding planners, I realized it might be. Of course, it requires taking a leap of faith, and you definitely need to do your research and find the right people to help, but we were 100% happy with our wedding and the entire experience around the wedding day.

Why A Merida Destination Wedding

We settled on Merida because we were in awe of its layered history, opulent architecture, and lush landscape. Although we’d traveled to other cities in Mexico, we’d never been to Merida. We had the great fortune of engaging wonderful local wedding planners, Fernanda Sánchez and Yonatan Lara of Tailor Made Dreams. They made the entire process seamless and assuaged our fears about getting married in a foreign city we’d never even been to. Fernanda helped us virtually navigate the myriad of breathtaking haciendas in the region, even making the three hour trip from Playa del Carmen to send us videos of the haciendas. While there are several amazing haciendas in the greater Merida region, each with its own appeal, Hacienda Yaxcopoil was the one that best melded the glamour of old Merida and the natural vibrancy of the Yucatan.

Embracing The Mexican Culture

We loved hearing from so many of our guests how much they loved Merida and what a great time they had. As we had hoped, many of our guests made a short vacation out of our wedding and stayed a few extra days to explore the city, nearby ruins, cenotes, and even nearby towns. It warmed our hearts to see so many of our guests see what we see in Mexico – the wonderful people, amazing food, and endless beauty.

Heartwarming Alta Lakes Observatory Micro Wedding

March 25, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

With stunning mountain ranges, an intimate guest list, and a log cabin in the woods, Adriana and Scott opted for an Alta Lakes Observatory micro wedding. After hearing about the passing of the groom’s father—and COVID changing their original plan— this adventurous couple chose to self-solemnize their wedding and surround themselves with 12 close friends and family, and their cute dog.

Junebug member K2 Event Co. helped this couple create a stunning outdoor lakeside ceremony and reception—complete with a bonfire and a canoe ride. Outdoor enthusiasts, this one’s for you! Keep scrolling to see this micro wedding captured by Nate Shepard.

Sunrise Hikes And First Looks

The most memorable part of our day was the sunrise hike and first look. It was always important for us to start our wedding day with some kind of adventure with just us. In many ways, it felt like we were married twice on the same day. The first, was after our first look when we held each other, exchanged quiet words, and took in the sunrise. The second was in the afternoon witnessed by family and friends. Both surreal and beautiful in their own ways and both equally vital. I think if you are able to create some time in your day that is just yours to share together, that is the greatest gift.

An Alta Lakes Observatory Micro Wedding

We really wanted to create an experience for our family and friends. Despite being limited by the number of people we could have with us, each person was there because they have given us so much and this was our way of giving back to them. It was important that we create a feeling of intimacy throughout the entire weekend. Not only for our guests to enjoy, but for Scott and I to be able to savor each and every moment with them.

Self Solemnized Wedding And Homage To Dad

When we first became engaged, Scott and I knew that we wanted his dad, RJ, to officiate our wedding. Unfortunately, he passed away in early March of this year and we struggled to think of anyone else who could take his place. We chose to self solemnize for this reason, but wanted to still include him as part of our ceremony. K2 Event Co. set up the most beautiful table with his photograph, a candle, and some florals so that we could have a moment of silence to honor his life and memory. As we went to light the candle, the wind began to blow and we think it was RJ there with us. That moment, along with so many others, solidified the magic that surrounded us that day.

Why Alta Lakes Observatory?

On one of our visits to Telluride, we were hiking up the ridge-line on Black Iron bowl and I spotted a cabin surrounded by lakes. As Scott and I looked down, we both said that one day we had to go there. However, with COVID-19 limiting our hopes of having a larger celebration, we knew that this would be the perfect place to have our intimate October wedding. It feels like you’ve been transported somewhere beyond Colorado. Being there freezes time and forces you to slow down, recharge, and immerse yourself in nature. We are so grateful to Matty, the owner, for sharing this special place with us and others and look forward to returning soon.
