Minimalistic And Boho Tirtha Bali Micro Wedding

September 13, 2022 | justine

Denise and Patrick had one goal in mind: to give their wedding guests an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime destination wedding experience. And with that in mind, the pair and their powerhouse vendor team set their sights on thoughtful details that would make their Tirtha Bali micro wedding dream a beautiful reality. A unique cliff-top venue overlooking the Indian Ocean, a minimalist boho-luxe aesthetic, and fashion-forward attire—the couple pulled out all the stops, and they definitely delivered!

The couple exchanged heartfelt vows at the iconic Tirtha Glass Chapel, a true architectural marvel. Feathery pampas lined the aisle while an overhead installation of tassel chandeliers drew the eyes to the breathtaking backdrop of the deep blue sea and the endless sky. After their dreamy “I dos,”  they made their way to the Eden Garden of Wonderland Uluwatu, where a stunning outdoor reception awaited them. Mix and match rattan pendant lights hung above an earthy tablescape of florals and candles, raffia chargers, and gold accents.

And it wasn’t just the views and the decor that was absolutely outstanding that day. The groom rocked a stylish burgundy suit while the bride looked like a goddess in her strapless gown with detached statement sleeves and a gold celestial crown. From the arched seating chart and the monogrammed coconuts to the poolside lounge, these are gorgeous details you don’t want to miss. They Gave Out Thoughtful DIY Welcome Bags

We gave welcome bags with a personalized monogram during the rehearsal dinner. We filled it with goodies like his and her favorite snacks, gold playing cards, 24k gold under-eye patches for after the wedding, and a boho sugar cookie with our initials on it.

How Having An Intimate Wedding Allowed Them To Spend Time With Their Loved Ones

We had a small wedding of 40, and it was the best decision we ever made. We were able to socialize and personalize every element of the wedding. We planned our wedding, ensuring that we got the wedding of our dreams and gave our family and friends an experience of a lifetime. We were able to mention everyone on our guest list during our speeches, which rarely happens at weddings. Our advice for other couples, have a wedding that you will remember–something that reflects both your personalities–and don’t be afraid to have a small wedding. Sometimes people have this misconception that the smaller the wedding, the less fun it’ll be, but it’s not. We’re proud to say we had the best wedding with our favorite people, and down the road, we’ll still remember our wedding night, the conversations we had with everyone on our guest list, the dancing, singing, and after-party swimming.

Including Family Members Who Couldn’t Be In Attendance With Their Gifts To One Another

I gave my husband a box full of tear-jerkers gifts. In it were gold cufflinks with our dogs’ photos engraved on them. There was also a handkerchief with my stepkids’ photo, as they couldn’t come. It came with a note saying, “Daddy, we may not be there today, but we’ll still be there on our special way. Tuck this in your pocket so we’re not apart, and we’ll snuggle up all day next to your heart.” There was also a boutonnière pin with a photo of him and his mom, who passed away. Plus, I added a pair of Tom Ford gold sunglasses and a customized gold Cuban link bracelet with his initials on it. Pat gave me a gold paper clip bracelet and necklace set, which I told him about before that I really wanted but haven’t bought for the longest time.

Their Tirtha Bali Micro Wedding Was Full Of Exciting Entertainment

We had live music, a string quartet at the ceremony, fireworks, fire dancers, and water drums. Everything was an experience that when they thought they’d seen the best, it just got better as the night progressed. We both agreed our most memorable moment was  when we played the water drums at our reception. We just enjoyed ourselves with our guests, not caring about getting our suit and dress wet.

Minimalistic and Earthy Sagadahoc Bay Wedding

September 12, 2022 | justine

Erin and Scott wanted to bring their loved ones together for their Sagadahoc Bay wedding. For them, it meant inviting them to a place that holds some of their most cherished memories as a couple. And choosing their family’s remote coastal property in Maine couldn’t have been more perfect. By keeping the decor minimal, the couple let the spectacular ocean and woodland views (along with their love for one another) be front and center.

The couple and their guests started the day off with a short trek through the scenic trails to their ceremony site. Using only driftwood and tall shore grass to mark the altar, they kept the picturesque setting feeling natural and undisturbed. After promising a lifetime of love to each other, their small group headed back to the cabin for the alfresco backyard reception. Their talented vendors transformed the space with long tables covered in jute fabric, candles and dried florals in sand-filled glass containers, and string and rattan pendant lights.

Thinking of having a low-key and minimalist affair overlooking the coast? This Sagadahoc Bay wedding is just the inspiration you need. Go ahead and start daydreaming about your own waterfront event. These images by Junebug member Emily Delamater will make it impossible not to.

Junebug Member Emily Delamater’s Insights On This Sagadahoc Bay Wedding

I knew I wanted to work with Erin and Scott as soon as I met them. The way they chatted about their wedding was so sincere, and each detail meant so much to them. The wedding was at Erin’s family’s camp in Georgetown, Maine–a remote island with such beauty and heart. They were so excited to share this incredible place with their family and friends. It was a small wedding with stunning and well-thought-out details in an earthy color palette designed by Good Lookn and florals by Luna Moss. At cocktail hour, many of their wedding guests took their drinks and walked out into the bay. You can walk hundreds of feet at low tide, and the water only goes up to your knees. It was such an extraordinary sight.

How Their Sagadahoc Bay Wedding Came To Be

We chose to get married at Erin’s family’s cabin on Sagadahoc Bay. We have been visiting for the last ten years since we started dating. It doesn’t have running water or hot water all year, but it’s one of our favorite places. It was awesome to bring friends and family from around the country to a place we love so much. We felt like we got to show them a piece of real Maine, and our guests were great sports about the long ride down the windy dirt road to get there. The best part is having all your favorite people in one place. All the other details seemed insignificant by comparison.

It Was A Special Experience To Have The Groom’s Mom Officiate The Ceremony

Scott’s mom is a retired Presbyterian pastor. She wrote the ceremony just for us and helped us pick important themes and readings. It was wonderful to have her officiate the ceremony and be up there with us.
