Airy And Playful Micro Wedding Inspiration Shoot

September 21, 2021 | kailey

When planning your dream wedding, it’s sometimes the smallest details that make the biggest impact. Which rings true in this playful micro wedding inspiration, brought to life by wedding planner Etc Coordinators and a talented team of vendors. They wanted to create inspiration that proves you don’t need an abundance of lavish decor to make a statement.

The Ice Plant Building—a historic, concrete wedding venue in Texas—made a stunning blank canvas for this micro wedding. To enhance the neutral space, Foxglove and Grace incorporated muted jewel-toned floral arrangements throughout the venue. Of course, the most eye-catching addition was the ceremony backdrop—a greenery-filled wall with a “better together” neon sign. Because, why have one ceremony arch when you could have a whole wall—right?

Gaby Deimeke Photography captured every element that took this micro wedding to the next level. From the elegant fashion to the jaw-dropping floral installations and everything in between. Whether you’re in search of a ceremony backdrop unlike any other or in need of timeless wedding inspiration, this playful micro wedding is what you’ve been searching for.

Photographer’s Thoughts On This Playful Micro Wedding Inspiration

While the exterior of The Ice Plant Building is inconspicuous amid downtown La Grange, the impeccable indoor lighting and unique concrete details were the inspiration for our Moody Blues shoot. The venue offered a beautiful blank slate for muted jewel tones. Modern details mixed with lushy textures were the perfect combination in this timeless setting. Their butterfly wall provides a romantic backdrop for new beginnings, too. We loved this playful feature to highlight the couple and bridesmaids.

September 20, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

One look at this destination elopement might just have you booking your own trip to Madrid, like Marie and John. Marie and John fell in love with the city and decided it was the perfect place to elope. From getting ready together in the hotel to exchanging their vows in the gorgeous Buen Retiro Park, this fashion-forward Madrid elopement captured the beauty of their love and the city.

Marie and John’s elopement featured gorgeous wedding day fashion, like Marie’s sheer puff-sleeve gown by Angela Pedregal and her easy feather headband hairstyle. They celebrated their love by strolling the city streets, sharing churros, and having a sunset dance in front of a royal palace. With luscious greenery and stunning Spanish architecture, keep scrolling to see how Blancorazon Wedding captured it.

Having a Madrid Elopement

We chose Madrid because it’s the city that welcomed us and it’s where we came to live. Truly, we fell in love with it and we couldn’t have done it anywhere else.

Shop feather bridal headbands: Bridal ivory feather crown ($108.95); bridal white feather headband ($28.89); Crystal feather headband ($62.11); Bridal feather two-piece headpiece ($37.49)

Memorable Moments in Madrid

Surely the ceremony, even if short, was the most memorable part of our day. We also exchanged vows in front of the scenery of Retiro Park. Another moment that was incredible was our first dance during sunset. Our photographer put our favorite song on a portable speaker. We felt like we were dancing alone even though we were in the city center.

Advice From the Bride

We thought it would take a long time to organize it; instead, in less than two months, we organized everything with the help of our wedding vendors. Our advice is to get a planner and if you have some crazy ideas, propose them. For example, we went to eat in one of our favorite places in the Barrio de las Letras. For a more classic wedding, it might be unusual, but we really wanted to do it.

Enjoying Their Favorite Foods

Our menu was atypical in the sense that we relied on our favorite local who brought us dishes that we love such as fried calamari and for dessert, the churros di san gines. It might be unique for a wedding, but it is very typical in Madrid.

Ash And Mac On This Mountainside Elopement Inspiration

The day was beautiful. Everything was planned out so intricately and intimately—it really paid off. The hosts Dawn Photo and Curated Mess.co, had us write love letters to each other and read them aloud as vows overlooking a gorgeous canyon. We were followed around by a little paparazzi of photographers but everyone was so respectful, sweet, and made us feel comfortable in our own little world together. I had to repeatedly stop and massage my cheeks throughout the day because I was smiling and laughing so much! It truly was such a beautiful celebration of our relationship and the love we share. And we are so passionate about helping others see that love has no gender or bounds.
