Modern Industrial Wildman BT Wedding Inspiration Shoot

February 24, 2021 | kailey

Say goodbye to neutrals and hello to colors that are as bold as your love. Photographer Emma Mullins Photography organized a group of talented professionals to bring to life this modern industrial Wildman BT wedding inspiration shoot. For those unfamiliar, Wildman BT is a spacious, extravagant, and newly renovated event space in Chicago.

The brilliant wedding planner Wedicity dressed the modern industrial space with bold colors and eye-catching floral arrangements, by Hedonia Flowers. The old exposed brick and subtle gold accents added elegance and fun to the inspiration shoot, not to mention the projector screen that made for unique photo opportunities. The grooms—dressed in coordinating blue-toned suits—couldn’t keep their eyes off each other, and we can’t blame them.

Dazzling Multicultural Western And Sikh Wedding Celebration

February 23, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

Combining two cultures for a celebration of love is both memorable and beautiful. With the help of Bliss Whistler, Abigail and Jason celebrated their love and incorporated their two heritages in a spectacular three-day celebration. Their multicultural celebration featured a traditional Sikh wedding and a Western ceremony. From a stunning red and gold Lehenga to a chic and elegant white bridal dress, these wedding ceremonies oozed love, tradition, and sentimentality.

We’re so thrilled that Junebug member Nomad by NK captured every inch of these ceremonies—including a surprise Indian dance by the wedding party. Grab some bubbly and let’s head to Whistler for this Western and Sikh wedding celebration.

The Most Memorable Moment In Three Days

The whole weekend was truly the best three days of our lives, but the moment I walked down the aisle and saw Jason’s face at the end—and all of our smiling friends and family—was a pretty amazing moment.

Wedding Advice for Nearlyweds

Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks your wedding should be. Do what feels right for you! We had a lot of decisions to make that were out of the norm as we were blending two totally different cultures. We did what felt right to us and everyone was so happy in the end.

Western and Sikh Wedding Celebration in Whistler

Whistler has been such a big part of our relationship. We spend all of our winter weekends at our family home there. As soon as we got engaged, we wanted to get married in the area. We wanted to be in Whistler but find a venue that would accommodate all of our guests, have delicious food, and have beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.

Handwritten Vows

For our Western ceremony, we wrote our own vows and shared them in front of all our friends and family. This was so special to both of us and made our ceremony so unique and perfect.

Multicultural Bridal Fashion

For the Sikh ceremony, Sunny’s Bridal worked with me to create my vision. I knew I wanted to be in a bright color, but I wanted the rest of my wedding party in more neutral and classic colors. For the Western wedding, I wanted simple and elegant. Jane Rhyan created a two-tier veil for me and I customized it by adding the lace from my mom’s wedding dress to the train of my long veil. It was so special to my mom and me, and I hope one day I can have a daughter to pass down the veil to.

Intimate, Elegant, and Candlelit Playa Balandra Elopement

February 22, 2021 | riley

After getting engaged, Evony and Miguel knew they wanted a unique elopement in a one-of-a-kind destination. Once they figured out those two details, the two fell in love with photographer and Junebug member Donna Irene Weddings’ work and let her take the reins on planning. They ended up with a stunning Playa Balandra elopement featuring sunset vows, portraits amidst the saguaros, and a boat ride photo session that has us dreaming of sunny days at the beach.

There’s no better way to celebrate being newlyweds than to enjoy a luxury picnic–put together by MFC Events–complete with tequila shots and pizza under fairy lights and the night sky. If you’re searching for ways to make your intimate elopement special, keep scrolling because Evony and Miguel nailed it.

Whimsical Boho Vibes At The Playa Balandra Elopement

Our style was heavily inspired by our photographer Donna, who was living in Mexico at the time. She was very familiar with destination weddings and capturing beautiful backdrops. She recommended that we travel to La Paz, Mexico, home to one of the most beautiful and untouched beaches in the world–Playa Balandra. Surrounding the beach were cliffs that overlooked the entire body of water, and we decided to climb up and exchange our vows at the top of the cliff. The vibe was earthy, boho, and whimsical. Using neutral colors and simple accents, we were able to highlight the scenery of Playa Balandra.

Wedding Advice From The Bride

Take the time to map out what you really want on your big day, not what you think others would like or want. Understand that although there are so many details that go into planning, a lot of it is unnecessary. Looking back, some small things won’t matter as much as you thought. However, do not cut corners on hiring your photographer, because it will make or break the experience.

Soaking Up Mexican Culture

Tacos, Tequila, hospitable people, and jaw-dropping views—what’s not to love about Mexico? It was a quick sell for me. Especially since our photographers were living in the area and knew it was such an all-inclusive experience. We not only got to enjoy the views on our wedding day, but there were so many fun excursions to do afterward–like swimming with whale sharks!
