Elegant And Traditional Cultural Fusion Wedding Inspiration Shoot

August 11, 2021 | riley

Here at Junebug, we have extremely talented vendors that create magic time and time again. From fairytale weddings to styled shoots that showcase love of all different kinds, we feel truly lucky to share their work with our readers. So we couldn’t be more excited to share this cultural fusion wedding inspiration shoot put together by Junebug member Lesley S. Photography and planner La Bohème Wedding.

The French vendors wanted to share the blending of cultures done in a traditional yet modern way. Japanese culture was represented in the flower necklace exchange and the red and white color palette. Nods to French culture included the Château Sentout castle venue, the vineyard-inspired wedding invitations, and the wine enjoyed during cocktail hour.

While we could try to explain every carefully curated detail–including how elegant the Audacieuse Adélaïde crepe wedding gown looked paired with the bold colored suit from Blandin & Delloye or just how romantic the candle-lit dinner was–we’re going to let photographer Lesley share her vision.

Junebug Member’s Thoughts On The Cultural Fusion Wedding Inspiration

This wedding inspiration shoot was inspired by Japanese culture and by different types of wedding trends that can be found in the French culture. Located near Bordeaux, le Château Sentout—the venue where this photoshoot took place—brings something magical and genuine to the whole scenography. It was important to us that future newlyweds could feel the castle atmosphere and see all of its potential through the photos.

The main goal of this photoshoot was to show two different cultures mixed together to create something unique. In our case, we were mainly targeting traditional Asian couples, especially Japanese ones.

Incorporating Two Different Cultures

There are different references to the Japanese culture–Tanabata’s Tenzakus and the flower necklace exchange during the ceremony–showing that it’s possible to respect reserved Asian traditions while introducing modern touches. More delicate details such as the linen folded like Furoshiki were also represented. French culture was represented through the venue, the choice of stationery, and the wine and different beverages served during the cocktail hour.

Rustic Romantic Decor

We wanted to mix different trends–rustic, raw materials, romantic–with the color palette and a more refined and minimalist style, like with the stationery and the plates. We also used the greenery environment of the castle, especially for the ceremony setup.

Just as important as your first dance as a wedded couple, the last dance is an underrated wedding tradition that you shouldn’t skip on your big day.

What Is A Last Dance?

The last dance is exactly what it sounds like, the final song before the wedding reception comes to a close. It’s your chance to end the night in style by selecting a song that authentically represents you and your wedding theme. It takes place after the ceremony is complete, the toasts and speeches have been made, and dessert has been served. We can’t think of a better way to conclude the night than hitting the dance floor.

Last Dance Songs

Don’t sleep on your last dance song choice. It’s the last song, make it count. When it comes to your song choice, you don’t want to leave it up to chance. This is your opportunity to pick a song that’ll ensure everyone ends the night on the dance floor with you and your new spouse.

You have two options when selecting the last dance song: slow or upbeat. To keep the energy alive try selecting an upbeat, well-known song that’ll get guests out of their seats. If you’re dreaming of ending your reception on a more intimate and romantic note, pick a meaningful number that celebrates your love story.

Why You Should Have A Last Dance Song

There’s no better way to end your wedding than dancing and singing alongside your loved ones—one last hurrah before the night ends. But, having a last dance has many benefits that stretch far beyond fun. It’s a great way to get all your guests in one place and signal that the end of the celebration is near. It makes for a smooth transition from the dance floor to lining guests up for your grand send off

Just because the last dance song has played doesn’t mean the party has to stop on the dance floor. When it comes to planning the end of your wedding reception, select an epic exit—like a sparkler or smoke bomb exit—that’ll continue the celebration outside.

Using an enchanted garden as their muse, this indoor garden wedding feels like stepping into a room lost in time. They used vines stretching up the walls and wildflowers to cover the floor and tables. Sticking to the floral-focused theme, this talented wedding vendor team added finer details to make this elopement truly magical. No detail was left unturned: wedding cake wreathed in flowers, floral table linens, a head-to-toe floral bridal look, and a floral-engraved keepsake box.

Wedding designer and florist J Bennett Design wanted to create a space where couples in the metro-Detroit area could elope during unprecedented times in an affordable and stylish way. The Planner’s Thoughts On An Indoor Garden Wedding

Vines climbing up walls, curling into bookshelves, and trailing over the mantle transformed the farmhouse at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms into a forgotten garden. We created a backdrop of flora growing up from the ground as a ceremony nest to encircle the couple in serene enchantment. The overall design evokes the feeling of private seclusion on a warm summer’s day, where a couple can meet in secret for an intimate elopement.

The tiny wedding vendors are able to offer couples an affordable and safe option to get married during a time when many weddings have been restricted, postponed, or canceled, without sacrificing style.
