Earthy and Minimalist Micro Wedding Inspiration

August 25, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

Fall may be further around the corner, but we can still dream of cooler weather and pumpkin spice lattes with this minimalist micro wedding inspiration. Setting this wedding ceremony tucked away in the hill country of Austin, the Prospect House provided a blank canvas for the team to work with. Its tall ceilings, white brick walls, and a unique square cement structure were perfect. This talented team decorated the space in golden tones of autumn with white floral installations by Remi and Gold, tan velvet drapery, and touches of mustard and terracotta to balance the color palette

On top of creating a cozy wedding space, the wedding team added luxe details like gold flatware, clear acrylic chairs, artistic wedding stationery, and fashionable wedding looks. If you’re already in the mood for fall, scroll down to see these photos captured by Aurelia Baca Photography

Gorgeous And Glamorous Casa Baloyan Wedding

August 25, 2021 | riley

Daniela and Andres didn’t let COVID-19 stop them from having the French destination wedding of their dreams. Rather than tie the knot in a faraway place, the couple said “I do” at a stunning Casa Baloyan wedding that was dripping with French elegance–all while being close to their friends and family in Mexico! With the help of planner Alvaro Avila, the vineyard was transformed into a French-inspired space full of grand white florals from Oleandra, classic European-inspired table settings, and an abundance of candles.

From the getting-ready portraits to intimate moments in the villa’s library to a firework-lit reception, Junebug member and photographer Meraki Weddings captured every special moment from this glamorous wedding. They also did an amazing job summarizing details of the classic celebration below.

Photographer Meraki Weddings On The Day

Daniela and Andres got married at Casa Baloyan in Tijuana, which has an amazing architecture with green tones that perfectly matched the color palette they decided to use for their intimate and elegant event–white and green tones.

With combinations of greens, a beautiful arch of flowers in the backyard of the house, and a stunning view of the city and dreamy sunset, Daniela and Andres tied the knot surrounded by their closest family and friends. The intimate reception was held in the same location, with many floral arrangements illuminated by candle lights. The married couple danced all night under a magical full moon.

Utilizing Classic Bridal Fashion

Both of our styles were classic with a modern twist. My style inspiration was pulled from Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, and my mom. I’ve always loved how brides look with minimalist makeup and a “pulled back” hairstyle. I love that our children will see our photos and we’ll have a classic and timeless look in them.

The Couple’s Favorite Wedding Photos

One of our favorite photos is of us at the ceremony listening to Father give the homily. We love it because we are very focused on what he is telling us and it was one of the most beautiful moments of the day. Another of our favorite photos is one that we are in the home’s library. The picture feels super dramatic and elegant at the same time.

Why A Casa Baloyan Wedding

The style of the wedding was inspired by a French Chateau. We wanted something elegant, timeless, romantic, and chic. This particular wedding venue belongs to a very good friend of my dad. We are very happy and grateful that he could lend us his residence, as it was perfect with our vision of the style of our wedding.

70s Inspired Nashville Micro Wedding

August 23, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

Bridgette Bardot hair, disco balls, and the iconic retro Dive Motel—this 70s inspired Nashville micro wedding was fun, intimate, and unlike any other. Since they couldn’t have their big wedding as planned, Julia and Lex decided to spend the day hopping around fun locations in Nashville. Ultimately it all led to an intimate wedding ceremony at an Airbnb. With ice cream sundaes, dancing in the streets, and hot chicken, we love to see couples making the most of their day.

On top of unique photo spots, floral designer Flower Girls Florals created a unique minimalist chuppah and bouquet with succulents. To add to the 70s inspired vibes, Julia wore a gold disco-ball inspired wedding dress by Loulette Bride and white low ankle boots. Khaki Bedford Photography captured the entire day from start to finish.

The Most Important Aspects Of Planning

The most important part in planning our original wedding was that we were bringing together our families and friends from different parts of the country. When that was no longer possible, our wedding became about celebrating our partnership in a city that means so much to us. If we couldn’t have the original wedding at least we got really cool photos. Being able to have these photos of us around Nashville is a tribute to the beginning of our relationship and to the city that helped shape Lex into the person that he is.

Choosing a Venue That Makes You Feel Special

We really have to give a shout-out to The Dive Motel. We hadn’t originally planned to stay there. However, we decided if we couldn’t have our wedding then, we at least wanted to stay somewhere cool with a pool—they really made us feel special. Once it was time to reimagine our wedding, The Dive Motel and an AirBnB with a good, partially covered backyard were the obvious choices for us.

Cheers From Strangers

The most memorable moments came from strangers while we were going around Nashville taking pictures. People would walk or drive by us while cheering,  congratulating us, and telling us we look good. We were maybe five months into the pandemic at that time and social interaction with strangers was minimal. It just felt like all these strangers were cheering us on for our next journey—marriage.

Finding An Amazing Vendor Team

Our wedding vendors really got us through the postponing, canceling, and reimagining of the day. For some of our vendors, we were the first people to postpone their wedding. They were going through their own personal and professional struggles but they showed us so much kindness during this time. A really huge shout out to our photographer Khaki Bedford, Jenny and Courtney of the Flower Girls Floral Design, and Katie-Laine Thornton who did my hair and make-up. We couldn’t have done this without them!

Advice From The Bride

Your wedding is what you make it. Get what is important to you and let the rest fall into place. Also, get a good photographer! All you have at the end of the day is your photos and your partner.
