Intimate Gallery Pastry Shop Brunch Wedding

March 18, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

You read that right, a brunch wedding. Food bloggers Elyse & RC wanted a wedding that was personal to them and included their favorite things—food and their loved ones. They chose to have a Gallery Pastry Shop brunch wedding because they fell in love with the food and the decor, and we don’t blame them. Spending the morning surrounded by their favorite people was picture perfect, thanks to Meagan Lawler Photography

The details of this wedding were swoon-worthy, like the stunning lace and chiffon bridal gown that paired beautifully with Elyse’s long, red mermaid locks. We know you’ll drool over the food and drinks, but wait until you see the cozy outdoor patio—talk about cute and quaint. Grab your brunch favorites and keep scrolling to see this Gallery Pastry Shop brunch wedding. Cheers!

Choose What’s Most Important For You

Make the day about the things that are most important to your partner and you—not anyone else! The beauty of marriage is starting new traditions with your love, and the wedding is the perfect place to start.

Why A Gallery Pastry Shop Brunch Wedding?

Through our food blog, we got close with one of the owners of Gallery Pastry Shop. It was an easy decision to pick the beautiful outdoor patio for our small ceremony and share the best brunch around with our family and friends inside the restaurant. Their decor is modern, wood-based, simple, and beautiful with older eclectic touches. We didn’t have to do much of anything to decorate it for our special day.

A Truly Blissful and Memorable Moment

Walking down the aisle to our favorite song “Happiness Amplified” by Above & Beyond, and as the chorus started to pick up singing “this is the love of my life right here.” At that exact moment, I rounded the corner so our guests and my hubby could see me and my big-smiling glory. A strong, warm fall breeze rustled the leaves from the trees and they fell down around me more perfectly than I could have planned. Pure bliss!

A Wedding That’s All Their Own

I asked my best friend’s Dad to officiate our wedding because he’s like a father to me. The music was all of our favorite Above & Beyond songs. However, we didn’t do any of the traditional dances. Instead, we just enjoyed amazing brunch food, bloody Mary’s, mimosas, and delicious French pastries with our friends and family.

Gorgeous Dark Palette Wedding Inspiration Shoot

March 17, 2021 | riley

We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again–we cannot get enough of the dark color palettes in 2021. This gorgeous dark palette wedding inspiration shoot put together by Dragonfly Photography used black and gold to create an elegant and modern aesthetic that beautifully matched the interior of the Metropolitan at the 9. And while we can’t get enough of the look of this whole shoot, we love the planning that went into it even more. Rather than explain it ourselves, we’ll let Oona Breyer of Dragonfly Photography do all the talking.

Dragonfly Photography On The Idea Behind The Dark Palette Wedding Inspiration Shoot

Our vendor team is barely under 50% Black-owned companies–it was originally 50%, but one company has to drop out due to COVID quarantine. Our vendor team includes Cake’tique Custom Cakes, Minister Sharnise, Pennmanship Calligraphy, and BR Design Co.

The idea behind the shoot was “a live painting of the bride created a stunning detail for this multicultural art gallery inspired editorial featuring an incredible diverse vendor team.”

This editorial was inspired by the lack of diversity in the wedding industry and the need for more inclusion and couples of color. We put this project together to showcase the beauty of Black love and the incredible talent that a diverse vendor team can bring to a wedding day.

As a fun addition to the shoot, our real-life couple ended up renewing their vows, making it a super sweet event in the midst of a meaningful editorial.

A Pacific Northwest Rainforest Elopement With A Colorful Suit And Lots Of Lace

March 16, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

If the long lace wedding dress and terracotta-colored suit weren’t enough to Pin this wedding, then the backdrop of this Pacific Northwest rainforest elopement will definitely do the trick. Chelsea and Rafael flew from Florida to the Pacific Northwest to tie the knot in the way they’ve always envisioned—a dreamy rainforest elopement. But when fires struck the West Coast, they began to worry. With the help of their photographer, Oshen Davidson Photo, this adventurous couple chose to rent an RV and explore the Pacific Northwest leading up to their elopement while Oshen checked the trails. Their wedding day began with getting ready at their campsite, and ended with a stunning picnic, featuring a charcuterie board and the cutest mini cake. If you’re dreaming of an elopement, or are opting for one—à la the global pandemic—then let this Pacific Northwest rainforest elopement give you the push in the elopement direction.

The Bride’s Favorite Memory

I think it’s safe to say for the both of us that there were many parts of the day we’ll hold dear forever. The picnic we had beside the waterfall while we listened to all our favorite love songs is definitely up there for me. Or when we finally got back to camp, shared a beautiful dinner beneath the stars, and played dominos while drinking wine late into the night.

The Groom’s Memorable Moments

Getting ready together was special for me. It’s not traditional to get ready but I highly recommend it. Helping each other look and feel the best while listening to music gave us such a sense of peace and it was a fun start to our big day. I left before her so we could still do a first look. When she tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around to see my beautiful bride, I knew everything in the world would be alright from there.

Wedding Advice For Elopers

Try not to rush the moments. We only planned for a month or so and it was gone before we could blink. Slow it down, soak it up, and enjoy it. Your day is about you and your love together. Of course we would have loved for our family to have been there and witnessed our big day, but at the end of it all, the intimate memories we created were just what we wanted our marriage to embody.

A Pacific Northwest Rainforest Elopement

I had always wanted to travel to the Pacific Northwest. It has been at the top of my list of adventures, specifically the Hoh Rainforest. When I showed Rafael, he was in awe instantly and said, “let’s go!”

DIY Boho Accessories

Given our boho fashion choices for the day, he didn’t want to wear a traditional tie. I had mentioned wearing a bolo tie so he decided to make one! He then surprised me with a beautiful necklace as well. Both our accessories have precious gems inside of labradorite and ruby-zoisite. It’s something we can hold on to forever.
