Dramatic & Classy Piton Mountain Wedding

February 19, 2021 | kailey

As adventure lovers that couldn’t decide between a mountain wedding or a beach wedding, Glendean and Omawali’s Saint Lucia celebration proved couples can have both. With views of the towering Piton Mountain tops and surrounding beaches, La Haut Resort was a naturally dreamy destination ceremony space. From start to finish the couple entrusted wedding planner, Michele Ince, to bring their Piton Mountain wedding vision to life.

Their big day was infused with emotional and touching details that involved important loved ones. The bride was dressed in a modern lace Kitty Chen gown, complete with a snatched classy hairstyle, an eye-catching bridal comb, and a long aisle-worthy veil. Photographer Jelani Lebourne beautifully captured every unforgettable detail that made Glendean and Omawali’s beautiful day one for the books.

A Memorable Piton Mountain Wedding First Look

Our first look was the most memorable part of the day. After 14 months of planning, there was no better feeling than seeing him standing there both speechless and ecstatic. It was an emotional moment and we were fighting back tears. During our first look, we exchanged letters and the words on those letters will forever be as special as our vows.

Using Pinterest As A Planning Tool

Pinterest and vision boards are must use tools during the wedding planning process. We didn’t have a vision for our wedding before getting engaged. Pinterest helped create and clarify our vision to build the most special day that was uniquely ours

Destination Weddings Rule

Consider having a destination wedding—your friends and family in attendance will thank you for a memorable vacation. The key to a successful destination wedding is finding and building a relationship with a wedding planner.

Honoring Their Marriage With A Unity Ceremony

We personalized our ceremony by asking my sister, who we both adore, to be our co-officiant. It was an honor to have her serve in that role, as she is such a force of positivity and love in our lives.  Immediately after our vows and signing our marriage certificate, we wanted our first act as husband and wife to be an act of service. We took turns washing each other’s feet as an act of humility and dedication. This was to model the attitude we will strive to bring into our marriage each and every day.

Perfectly Romantic And Intimate Wedding In The Abbey of San Pietro

February 18, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

A stunning historic chapel, a perfectly green countryside, and a surprise from their two kids—Elisa and Alessandro had the wedding of their dreams at the Abbey of San Pietro. By using the venue as the centerpiece, the couple added perfectly romantic details like a soft color palette, stunning floral arrangements by Sartoria Floreale, and timeless table decor.

They were surrounded by their family and friends, and included their two kids in the ceremony and—trust us—it’s really adorable. We’re excited to share this totally romantic and intimate wedding, captured by Junebug members Andrea & Federica. Keep on scrolling to get the Italian inspiration you were looking for. Adiamo!

The Couple:

Elisa and Alessandro

The Wedding:

The Abbey of San Pietro, Umbria, Italy

Why The Abbey of San Pietro?

The Abbey of San Pietro in Valle in Ferentillo holds a special place in my heart. I used to go there as a child with my parents and it represents authentic Umbria—a jewel set in the mountains. For us, it was the ideal place for the kind of wedding we were planning. After he asked me to marry him, the first thing I did was call to find out the available dates.

Wedding Planning Advice

During the planning process, we let ourselves be guided by emotions. We were lucky enough to meet wonderful people on our path. I believe that the organization of the wedding is part of the wedding itself. The greatest advice is to enjoy every single moment. Not everything will go perfectly, but it will be perfect.

Perfectly Romantic Wedding Colors

We choose our colors with floral designer Sartoria Floreale. Romina is located in the heart of Spoleto and from the first meeting, we immediately felt in harmony. We met in the center of her shop immersed in the colors and scents of flowers and essential oils. At the end of the meeting, we settled on the idea of using Rosa Cipria, mauve, white, butter, sage green palette with a very light touch of burgundy. Then we added dark iron in the materials and glass to create a dreamy color palette!

Shopping For Wedding Dresses

When I saw my wedding dress, it was love at first sight. It was the first one I tried on. Simple, but elegant fabric with a tailored cut. It was more of a white evening dress—I felt like a real princess. Inspired by an icon of mine, Charlotte of Monaco, I added a necklace for the reception.

Dazzling and Extravagant Guernsey Channel Island Wedding

February 17, 2021 | riley

Fire dancers flown in from Austria, a firework farewell at the rehearsal dinner, and a glamorous sequin reception dress–these are just a few things that Olivia and Bart included in their extravagant Guernsey Channel Island wedding. Not to mention the fact that it was held in the bride’s family’s backyard

Olivia wowed guests in her princess-like high neck J’aton Couture gown paired with a Swarovski tiara, while Bart looked dashing in his Micheal&Giso grey plaid suit. The fashion matched the all-white decor, which included white roses galore arranged by Simply Bespoke and elegant white linens. One look at the photos captured beautifully by Igor Demba, and you’d think we’d been transported to a modern-day fairytale. Keep scrolling through to be enchanted by these magical nuptials.

The Couple:

Olivia and Bart

The Wedding:

Normanville, Guernsey

Unexpected Bridal Fashion

My wedding dress was J’aton– I wanted everyone to think it was unexpected. I think people assumed I would be in head-to-toe sparkles, but I kept it classy. It was the best dress in the world, and it was the first I tried on. My hair was in an ultra-glam top knot to compliment the high neck of my dress. It’s also Bart’s favorite hairstyle on me. I had a Swarovski tiara shipped in from New York and finished the look with super tall Jimmy Choos for the ceremony and Louboutins for the night.

Elegant Vibes At The Guernsey Channel Island Wedding

The overall vibe of the wedding was very romantic, elegant, and magical. It was set at my family home in the Channel Islands. The ceremony took place in a courtyard, and the party was in a huge marquee on the grounds. We didn’t have a DJ; we had a 12 man band. The whole thing was “old school’ glamour vibes.

A Classic Wedding Color Palette

We didn’t ‘fight the white.’ We went all-in on the white–white flowers, white aisle, white everything. We finished it off with brushed antique gold and lots of deep green plants.
