Beautiful and Unique Chicken Farm Outdoor Wedding Inspiration

December 18, 2020 | riley

We’ve seen our fair share of unique wedding venues here at Junebug, but a chicken farm is a first–and we love it! When Junebug members put their minds to something, it becomes magic, and that is exactly what happened when photographer Rivkah Photography planned this styled shoot. With the help of planner Brittany Sagal Event Design, the Bird’s Eye Cove Farm was transformed into a bohemian and rustic wedding backdrop.

Models Kiya and Glen “tied the knot” amidst the trees, pampas grass, and grand floral arrangements put together by Fleur De Lii before moving into the timber frame barn, which was decorated with peacock chairs, more florals, and stunning mustard and orange touches. And, of course, we can’t forget the stunning portraits of the couple with the chickens. How many people can say they have wedding pictures with farm animals?

Have you always dreamed of saying “I do” in a one-of-a-kind venue? Then keep scrolling because this one is going to elevate feelings of inspiration.

Easy-Going Big Sur Wedding at Ragged Point Inn

December 17, 2020 | riley

When a couple describes their wedding vision as easy-going and free-spirited, it’s certain to be fun and full of personal touches. That’s exactly how Elizabeth and Austin described their Big Sur wedding at Ragged Point Inn

When it came time to start wedding planning, the couple knew that they wanted to tie the knot in the place where Elizabeth said “yes!” during a hike. With the help of expert planner Engaged Life, their love for the ocean shined through as they said “I do” in a ceremony that overlooked the seaside cliffs.

The two followed their ceremony with a reception amidst the pines, complete with a twinkle light canopy, soul music, pampas grass and florals from Plain Jane Posy, and a record player guest book. Now that’s how to make a wedding unique to a couple. We’re glad that Junebug member Carmen Lopez Photography was there to capture the love, laughs, and everything in between!

A Memorable—And Sunny—Walk Down The Aisle

Big Sur is known for majestic views and rolling fog, so it was no surprise that there was a low hanging fog on our wedding day. The air was warm, and everything looked mystical–like we were inside a dewy cloudland, nestled next to the mountains and at the edge of the coast. As I got ready to walk down the aisle the sun came bursting through the clouds. Soaked in light, I emerged to see my groom standing at the arbor. He was fighting back tears, and I could feel everything–the sun on my back, the smiles from the crowd, and the intensity of the commitment we were making to each other in front of all our loved ones. The sun stayed shining through our ceremony, where we exchanged our handwritten vows, and I will truly never forget that moment.

Why Ragged Point Inn

Austin proposed to me on a hike in Big Sur, and I knew that I wanted to get married in what we believe is the most magical place. We knew we wanted an outdoor wedding and a place that our guests could stay on site. This was extremely limiting in the Big Sur area, so when we discovered Ragged Point Inn, we knew it had to be our venue.

Glamorous Las Vegas Desert Elopement

December 15, 2020 | Junebug Weddings

Arienne and Kevin’s Las Vegas desert elopement was head to toe glamorous with a jaw-dropping desert view and we are here for it. Their use of a portable champagne and donut cart contrasts against their Las Vegas desert elopement in the most tasteful, beautiful, and interesting way.  Don’t believe it? Keep scrolling to see more.

From Arienne’s dress with a ruffled train and a faux fur shawl to Kevin’s classic fitted black suit and bow tie, these two made the desert look chic. With the help of Flora Pop, these two made eloping look luxurious with a desert breeze and a chic floral bouquet. We’ll let the photos from Aimlee Photography do the talking from here.

A Las Vegas Desert Elopement

The most memorable part of the day was definitely the actual wedding ceremony. Who could ever forget vows with a view and breeze? The cute bar cart that Flora Pop provided with donuts and champagne was definitely an amazing touch. We chose the desert because its beauty surpasses the need for any florals. We were lucky to find Flora Pop who work in these settings regularly.

Working with Aimlee Photography

Working with our photographer Amy and her husband CJ was magical. They felt like friends who gave us time for more intimate moments when appropriate. Seemed sort of like a double date, but they were working and professional the entire time. It was great chemistry!
