Colorful Destination Micro Wedding In Rome

When in Rome, couples should exchange magical “I do’s” like Catherine and James. This couple wanted a destination micro wedding that was small in size without having to sacrifice special moments, loved-ones involvement, and show stopping decor. Which was all made possible with the help of Junebug member Il Mio Matrimonio and a talented team of local vendors.

The castle venue—Castello San Giorgio Maccarese—was a timeless setting that made this couple look like royalty. Taking full advantage of the lavish Italian gardens, these love birds exchanged vows in front of towering secret garden gates. To enhance the existing foliage, the gates were lined with colorful asymmetrical floral arrangements by Non Solo Rose. The same show-stopping florals that dressed the reception tables and complemented the overhanging, outdoor chandelier—a truly unique wedding decor detail. Photographer Latitudine 41 captured every cherished moment from the hand-written vows to the flower petal send off. To enhance the island’s natural beauty, the addition of a floating, circular wooden backdrop made for a unique ceremony setting. You heard that right, this couple exchanged faux vows while floating on water. Making for a magical and unlike-any-other ceremony.

The vibrant florals by Plano A Events—in the bride’s intricate, tropical bouquet and dressing the bold reception tables—beautifully contrasted the deep colors of the natural hill, forest, and rugged beach landscapes.
