Engagement Outfit Ideas For Guys

1. Don’t Be Afraid to go Glam

It’s not very often that you get to dress to the nines. So use your engagement photos as an excuse to go full glam with a tuxedo or suit that’ll look oh-so-sharp in every setting. It’s also extremely easy to match.

2. Play With Patterns

Your engagement photos are all about showcasing your love for one another and your individual style. If neutrals aren’t your thing, don’t be afraid to play around with bold patterned suits or shirts that’ll pack your photos with personality.

Are you always in Hawaiian shirts or printed button-ups? Bring that into your photos. But, keep in mind, if you do choose to go bold your partner should go with something a little more understated. Two bright colors or prints may distract from your setting if not done correctly.

3. Layers, Layers, and More Layers

There’s one way to guarantee that you’ll be both warm and stylish during your engagement photo session—layers, layers, and more layers. We’re talking about flannels, denim jackets, bomber jackets, scarves, and even beanies.

4. Go Bold With A Monochromatic Look

Patterns aren’t the only way to go bold during your engagement photo session. Though seemingly subtle, a monochromatic look is about as bold and timeless as it gets. You can pick a neutral hue like black, white, or tan. But you can also go with a more vibrant color like

5. Wear A Staple Jacket

During the chilly months, layering is essential—as we said above. But, having a staple piece is a good idea for every season. When it comes to fall and winter, pick out an eye-catching jacket to be the focal point of your outfit. If you’re going for an edgier look, try a leather jacket. Want a more polished looked, purchase a new long overcoat.

6. Dress Up Your Jeans

If you want to rock your favorite pair of jeans, we’re all for it. The tried and true sweater and denim combination will always hold a special place in our hearts. It’s proof that sometimes simplicity works. Plus, depending on which sweater you choose, it balances out photos if your partner wants to rock something a little more colorful.

Unique And Urban Milan Elopement

June 21, 2021 | kailey

This unique, urban elopement is sure to take a piece of your heart. This couple wanted a day that authentically celebrated their love in the place where it all started. To say we’re obsessed is an understatement.

Starting with a stroll through Milan—the city where Loretta and Max’s love blossomed—and ending with pizza from a “just married” box. From the fashion to the location, everything about this elopement was full of personality. The pop-of-color floral arrangements by Flower Art beautifully complimented the Milan skyline and brightened the epic, neutral wedding day fashion. The bride and groom added a cool, relaxed vibe with leather jackets and a champagne toast to kick off their marriage.

Keep scrolling to join Loretta, Max, and their photographer Paola Lattarini on a stroll through Milan. Each image enhances the unique elopement details that every unconventional couple can draw inspiration from.

Photographer Paola Lattarini On Capturing This Urban Milan Elopement

This elopement isn’t your classic urban elopement—it’s much more. This couple decided to promise their love by paying homage to the city where they met, Milan. We spent the afternoon walking around the city and honoring all the places important for their love story, from the Alcatraz nightclub to the Deus ex Machina. This was the best way for them to celebrate—just two of them, in the place they hold closest to their heart.

The Couple:

Loretta and Max

The Wedding:

Milano, Italy

Working With Photographer Paola Lattarini

Paola Lattarini was the best choice for us. We were looking for someone who would make us feel completely at ease and who could capture moments in a natural way. With her, we not only had a lot of fun but we also managed to feel isolated in our bubble. This environment made for intimate moments and incredible photos.

No Wedding Complete Without Pizza

The most memorable part of the day was definitely eating pizza and drinking beer in bed. We wanted a moment completely ourselves, and nothing better than a relaxing meal together.

Congrats to Loretta and Max on their unique, urban Milan elopement. And big thanks to photographer Paola Lattarini for capturing images showing that there’s nothing better than a unique wedding.
