Whether you’re looking to exchange “I do’s” close to home or take this celebration on the road, an Airbnb wedding venue may be just what you’re looking for. From tiny houses fit for cozy elopements to large, jaw-dropping mansions and everything in between—Airbnb has something fit for every couple, no matter the wedding size.

While Airbnb properties are typically best for small getaways, there are some homeowners who have designed their space to be perfect for events—like weddings. It just takes a little searching to find them. Lucky for you, we’ve searched, searched, and searched some more—easing your wedding planning stress. Whether you’re dreaming of an elopement-styled ceremony, a micro-wedding, or a large over-the-top celebration, we’ve got you covered. We’ve compiled a list of top-notch Airbnb wedding venues in every state.

Tips for Booking the Best Airbnb Wedding Venue

  • Always, always, always contact the host and inform them of your intentions for using their property before you book. There may be additional fees if you will be bringing in rentals or hosting any event larger than the maximum number of occupants
  • If you are eloping or hosting just the amount of people “allowed,” we still recommend informing the host of your intentions. Ask if they have a photography policy, and make sure they’re alright with any alterations you intend to make to the space (i.e. moving furniture to make space for your living room ceremony, etc)
  • Keep in mind, many communities have sound ordinance rules that you must adhere to
  • Think of an Airbnb wedding as a time to unwind, relax, and enjoy the weekend with family and friends. While we do love a great party, this isn’t the type of venue to host a raging party. If you want to get rowdy, consider taking your reception to a nearby bar

We hope you have fun scrolling through these properties! Once you’ve found the best Airbnb for your wedding day, make sure and check out our tips for hosting an Airbnb wedding.

  1. This is a great article!

  2. Hey folks, thank you so much for the shout out! I am one of the co-owners of Casa Lupe in New Mexico. We really appreciate it. However, the photo you published is not of our home. Is there any way you could correct that?

    • Hi there, the photos used throughout the post are from homes listed. It looks like the photo you’re referring to is the New York home and the link to it is listed right underneath yours. Thanks!

  3. This is such a cool idea. We also had an AirBnB Wedding in Iceland

  4. I love your article and it was so beautiful at Casa Lupe-Delux in Santa Fe. I had several vacations in Mexico, and I also prefer staying at an Airbnb because of the convenience and the feeling of being home. We had a wonderful stay there; the space was cozy and charming!

  5. Airbnb announced a global ban on parties and events at all Airbnb listings. Unfortunately, all of these listings do not allow wedding events anymore :(.

    • Hi Chandra, thankfully Airbnb’s policy said that events could still take place with 16 guests and the ban was only in effect until the end of the summer. Of course, you should always chat with the Airbnb host before booking an event at their location!

  6. This is really informative, thanks for sharing this.

  7. There’s almost not a single one of these that allows events or parties. I don’t understand the purpose of this article

    • Hi Rosie! Airbnb changed its events policy in 2020 to gatherings of up to 16 people. They’ve since codified it into their overall policy. That’s why you’ll find that a majority of these are chosen for elopements or micro weddings rather than large, traditional weddings!

  8. Virginia’s listing at the Sanctuary DOES NOT allow any events or weddings sadly. Would love a different Virginia recommendation!

    • Hi there! We will have to switch that out. Thanks for letting us know. We did spot this one that may be great for small affairs. However, like with any other Airbnb, it’s important to reach out to the host before booking!

  9. Would like to throw our hat in the ring for best Airbnb wedding locations in Southern Utah! We’re a couple hundred acre ranch with insanely gorgeous views of Zion National Park that are pretty tough to beat!

    • Feel free to send us the link to take a look at!
