Sparkly and Fun Boho Festival Wedding

May 22, 2022 | kailey

A bouncy house, a sparkle bar, and his-and-her cocktails—need we say more? With the help of wedding planner Infinity Weddings and Events, Gem and Jason were able to create a fun-filled celebration that’s the definition of cool. They prioritized elements that authentically celebrated their love story, including their three daughters every step of the way.

A team of talented wedding vendors transformed the Yoothamarra Homestead—a family farm wedding venue outside of Perth—into a dreamy outdoor wedding space fit for kids. Florals by Bohemian Flower Collective were used to dress up the ceremony backdrop and were transitioned into the reception space as a neon sign photo backdrop

From the epic monochromatic fashion to the carnival-style set up, photographers Mitch and Tijana captured every element that makes this boho festival wedding one for the books.

A Seven Year Engagement

Our day was a long time coming. We met thirteen years ago, got engaged seven years ago. And in that time we had three beautiful daughters, but we also lost some incredible people along the way—we wanted to honor both. It was just so surreal finally having our special day and doing exactly what we wanted.

A Venue Fit For Kids

When hunting for a venue, we wanted to make sure we found a space perfect for kids and the Yoothamarra Homestead was just that. We wanted them to be able to go inside and relax or give them the option to come outside and boogie with us.

You Are The Priority

Our biggest wedding planning advice is to make the day resemble you. It’s so important to throw your individual twangs into it, making your day just as unique and special as your love.

His And Hers Cocktails

We decided from early on we didn’t want to do wedding favors. Instead we chose to do three hours of “his & hers” cocktails. It set the vibe and was just one more way to personalize our big day.

Working With Mitch and Tijana

Our photographer and videographer Mitch and Tijana were honestly two of the funniest people to work with on our important day. They were so accommodating and everyone felt so comfortable with them both. Their creative and quirky ideas matched our boho festive vibe perfectly. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

If you’re looking for a solution to your low cut, backless, slinky, or even lacy wedding outfit, we’ve got you covered. Well, our friends at Lollipetals have you covered with their gorgeous nipple covers.

Truly Chic Nipple Covers

When most people think of nipple covers and sticky bras, images of chicken cutlets come to mind. They weren’t designed to be pretty and they certainly weren’t designed to make you feel confident. That’s the best part of Lollipetals nipple covers—they’re more like wearable art.

Lollipetals Perfect Nipple Cover Design

Their designs are the perfect solution to backless, strapless, and plunging dresses for the wedding season, whether you’re getting married or attending the wedding.

Their super thin highest quality silicone material is undetectable under your clothes but has a satiny smooth finish that makes them as gorgeous as they are stylish. So you can be braless and confident when you put your outfit on—and when you take it off.

Look no further for the perfect and beautiful solution to your undergarment problems. With Lollipetals, you’ve found your wedding day fashion’s best friend.

An Environmentally-Friendly Option

Because Lollipetals are reusable, they’re chic and Earth-friendly. After they’ve been worn, Lollipetals should be washed with mild soap and warm water and then air-dried. Once they’re dry, the silicone adhesive is ready to be worn again and again. The Earth and your nipples will thank you.

Intimate Retro and Boho Micro Wedding

With a retro color palette, whimsical florals, flashy disco ball details, and a down-to-earth vibe, Jacqui and Stanford’s boho micro wedding was romantic, hippy, and disco fab. To couples out there who want to take a more unconventional route, this celebration will inspire you to bend the rules and have the most fun and gorgeous wedding ever!

Known for its menu, century-old oak trees, beautiful front lawn, and vintage farmhouse interior, Mattie’s was the perfect venue for their nuptials. With eclectic rugs leading up to the stunning lush floral pillars by Mountain Laurel Floral, the outdoor ceremony setting was the epitome of dreamy. The reception that followed featured a charming tablescape of antique candle holders, patterned plates, caramel-colored glassware, and mismatched floral arrangements

The cherry on top of this wedding is the unique fashion. The groom kept it stylish in a dark teal suit, while the bride looked incredible in a lace wedding dress with peekaboo midriff detail. She later changed into a sparkly disco jumpsuit for the after-party. From the styled campervan photobooth to the retro lounge area and DIY accents scroll through to see the unique details, all captured by Junebug member Aurelia Baca.

Why Mattie’s Was The Right Choice For Their Boho Micro Wedding

We had eaten dinner before at Mattie’s with my parents and fell in love with it. It’s in the heart of Austin and only a few miles away from where we stay. It’s almost like a hidden gem, and I knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding.

An Intimate And Unplugged Ceremony Officiated By The Bride’s Brother

The ceremony was the most memorable part because it was very intimate and officiated by my brother, Ricky. I’m very close to him and wanted him to be the one to make it official.  We only invited our closest friends and family, and we kept the ceremony unplugged so that we could all live in the moment together.

Wedding Planning Advice From The Bride

The entire point of wedding planning is to celebrate your big day. So if you’re not having a good time and living in the moment, you’ve missed the point. I also definitely recommend getting a day-of-coordinator if you’re planning the wedding yourself. I was grateful to have Blue Events & Co. step in 60 days prior to the event to help pull everything together and take some of the stress off my shoulders.
