Black and White Industrial Los Angeles Wedding at 440 Seaton

March 7, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Hector and Eduardo’s wedding in Los Angeles proved that formal weddings can be cool, modern, and deeply personal! The couple’s industrial wedding at 440 Seaton combined larger-than-life DIY projects with sophisticated, timeless event styling done by Tasteful Tatters. Between gold accents, galvanized pipes, and tons of natural greenery, Hector and Eduardo’s décor featured all of our favorite industrial accents. We’d be lying if we said we didn’t tear up at the couple’s emotional ceremony processional photos captured by Joe+Kathrina!

The Couple:

Hector and Eduardo

The Wedding:

440 Seaton, Los Angeles, California

The most memorable part of the day was when we walked up the aisle together. Walking up the aisle together symbolized to us union, equality, and a new beginning.

From the photographers: In front of their family and friends, with Macklemore’s song Same Love beating through the speakers, Hector + Eduardo came together at the end of the aisle and walked towards something they thought they’d never be able to do. Get married. And in front 300 of their loved ones, they declared their love.

Our favorite photo is the one where we are sitting in our victorian lounge accompanied by our wedding party. We’re all in black and white looking very serious and classy. We feel that the picture captures the classic and timeless style that were were aiming for throughout the planning process.

We wanted our guest to experience something unique and to have a great time, so we added some personal unique touches like our hashtag #hewedding, personalized napkins, paletero, a popcorn bar, signature drink menu and of course the late night LA street hot dogs!

Because we’re both of Mexican heritage, we wanted to keep the food traditional. For cocktail hour we had a paletero man, chips with guacamole and salsa, and fresh fruit with chili powder Tajin. For dinner we had birria which is a stew made of beef marinated with many spices accompanied by rice and beans. We couldn’t end it there so as a late night snack we surprised guests with bacon wrapped LA Dogs of course!

We did a lot of DIY! We made the invites, the gold animal place card holders, favors, wine bottle centerpieces, table number holders, and a huge 16 ft long drapery piece. The funnest DIY project for us was consuming the 60 plus wine bottles 6 months prior to make the spray painted wine bottle centerpieces!

Our advice: Hire a planner!! Having a planner takes off so much stress!! Our planner was awesome – she took care of everything the day of the wedding and during the wedding planning!
