Sarah and Markus’ Perth wedding at Quarry Amphitheatre was a DIY masterpiece that any Pinterest lover will appreciate! The couple wanted to keep the day as simple and fun as possible, so Sarah made nearly every piece of décor. In place of traditional favors, she made custom coasters with a picture of each guest that served as both a fun conversation piece and quirky name cards. She also created a spectacular chandelier of paper cranes for the reception tent. To say we’re impressed would be an understatement! Samuel Goh Photography captured every DIY detail beautifully, but it was the really the couple’s joyful post-ceremony photo session that made this wedding so memorable.
The Couple:
Sarah and Markus
The Wedding:
Quarry Amphitheatre, Perth, Australia
I DIYed pretty much everything except the flowers and furniture. I used Pinterest a lot! I made the candle holders, blackboards, the overhanging arrangement of paper cranes, the boy’s bowties, the coaster favors, the list goes on…
We didn’t have favors, but to create a bit of fun we made each guest a coaster with a photo of them transferred onto it. It made for some great laughs, and we used them as place settings so everyone had a good time finding their seating place!
