An Eclectic Garden Party Vision Comes to Life in This Tennessee Summer Wedding

Adeline and William first met in 2019 at his family home in Minden, Louisiana, when she traveled from Indiana with friends for youth meetings at his church. They reconnected in 2021, and sparks quickly flew. William remembers the moment he knew she was the one: “We were at the top of the mountain eating waffles and laughing. I looked over at her, powdered sugar all over her chin, and realized I wanted to hear that laugh for the rest of my life.”

For Adeline, love built slowly. “I think I fell in love with William in small steps over about three years. His gentleness and quiet nature balanced my energy. By the time he asked me to marry him, I knew I wanted forever.”

With that same balance guiding their wedding, Adeline imagined an eclectic garden party. A day that began with a timeless white ceremony and ended in a reception bursting with color, music, and joy.

What We Love About This Garden Party Wedding

  • An all-white ceremony that transitioned into a colorful reception
  • An Airbnb venue that brought everyone together for a week of family and fun
  • Sentimental heirlooms like a bouquet charm and a vintage measuring cup passed down through generations
  • Heartfelt music and performances from loved ones that made the celebration uniquely theirs

Meaningful Details That Made the Day Personal

The wedding day was full of special, emotional touches. Adeline’s Aunt Christina attached a portrait of her late grandfather to her bouquet: “I cried off every bit of concealer when she showed it to me.” William’s boutonniere was replaced with a pin from his collection: “Adeline surprised me with a small white rose pin. It’s still one of the most thoughtful things anyone has done for me.”

Fashion also played a meaningful role. Adeline wore a classic white gown adorned with delicate pearl beading and a structured bow at the back, a look that balanced elegance with a touch of playfulness. Her veil flowed softly behind her, completing the timeless silhouette. William kept his look sharp and simple in a black suit and tie, letting the thoughtful pin stand out as his personal statement piece.

A Timeless All-White Ceremony

Adeline wanted a ceremony that honored her mother’s all-white wedding from 21 years earlier, and the design beautifully carried that vision forward. Guests sat on white chairs lining an aisle edged with soft baby’s breath, leading to two lush floral pillars overflowing with greenery and white blooms. The understated color palette created an elegant, serene atmosphere that allowed the emotions of the moment to take center stage.

Adding to the uniqueness of the ceremony, a live painter set up at the back of the aisle to capture it all as it unfolded. The finished artwork now hangs in Adeline and William’s home, a lasting reminder of the day they exchanged vows surrounded by family.

Creating a Garden Party Atmosphere With Family Involvement

While many brides take on the bulk of wedding planning, Adeline trusted her mom and aunt to handle every detail. “I gave them a general vibe and trusted them to carry it out. It ended up more perfect than I could’ve imagined.”

Their choice of an Airbnb as the venue set the tone for a weeklong celebration. The property had space for the entire family to stay together, turning the days leading up to the wedding into a mini-vacation filled with meals, swimming, and laughter. For Adeline, who would soon move to Louisiana, this time with her family was especially meaningful. It also created the relaxed garden party atmosphere she had always envisioned.

Vendor selection came just as naturally. Adeline relied on her mom’s recommendations and never second-guessed the choices. “If she did her research and suggested a vendor, I trusted them. Our entire team understood my dream.”

This hands-off, stress-free approach allowed her to stay focused on school and clinicals while knowing everything was handled behind the scenes. Her advice for other couples is simple: build a team you can trust and let them carry the details so you can fully enjoy the experience.

A Vibrant Reception Full of Color and Meaning

“The flowers in the ceremony were white, and the reception was as colorful as anything could be. The walk between the two felt like such a beautiful contrast,” Adeline shared. Under a trio of white tents, the garden party vision came to life with layered florals in every shade. Bright pinks, cheerful yellows, bold reds, and blues cascading from overhead installations.

Tables were dressed in patterned linens and topped with woven chargers, cabbage-leaf plates, and dainty napkins tied with blush ribbon. Gold flatware,vintage-inspired glassware, and personalized place cards rounded out the whimsical tablescape.

As the evening unfolded, Adeline found herself in tears through most of the celebration, moved by speeches, songs, and the love surrounding her. Her uncle sang “Grow Old Along With Me”—the same song performed at her parents’ wedding—while her young cousins charmed the crowd with “You Are So Beautiful to Me.”

One of the most emotional moments came when a family friend revealed that the bread served at dinner had been baked using a measuring cup Adeline’s grandmother had given her decades earlier. “It sits in a place of honor in my kitchen today,” she said.

What They Hope Other Couples Take Away

Looking back, Adeline offers simple advice: “Slow down on your wedding day and take it all in. I wish I would’ve sat with all the feelings and really processed how incredible it was.”

From the timeless white ceremony to the burst of color at their garden party reception, every moment of William and Adeline’s wedding reflected balance—tradition and personality, family history and new memories. Their celebration showed how powerful it can be to honor the past while stepping fully into the future together.

Instituto Allende Hosts a Stunning Persian Ceremony Infused with Mexican Charm

September 15, 2025 | justine

Amanda and Parsa met on Hinge in the summer of 2020 while staying with their families in Orange County. Their early days were spent like teenagers—on beaches, hikes, and outdoor dinners—before both returned to New York. By July 2021, they officially began dating, realizing they were the happiest when coming home to each other. “We’re wildly compatible travel partners,” Amanda shared. “And it doesn’t hurt that our parents are now best friends.”

When it came time to plan their destination celebration, they chose San Miguel de Allende for its vibrant colors and historic charm. Their Instituto Allende wedding beautifully merged Persian traditions with Mexican flair, all brought to life by an incredible team of vendors.

What We Love About This Instituto Allende Wedding

  • A welcome rooftop party overlooking the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel
  • The bold and colorful design inspired by San Miguel’s streets and architecture
  • A Persian Sofreh Aghd ceremony infused with Mexican music and traditions
  • Amanda’s three distinct fashion looks throughout the weekend
  • Personal touches like hookahs, custom tequila bottles, and a live first dance performance

A Rooftop Welcome Party

To kick off the weekend, Amanda and Parsa welcomed their guests with a lively rooftop party at Terraza Trinitate. Inspired by classic blue-and-white azulejos tiles, the celebration featured tacos, heart-shaped churros, and plenty of cocktails.

Under the skyline view of the Parroquia, guests mingled while Parsa’s nieces emceed the evening. A tequila and mezcal tasting table kept the energy high, perfectly matching the atmosphere Amanda described as “relaxed but super high energy. It was the perfect way to start the weekend.”

Adding to the vibrancy of the night, Amanda chose a bold fashion-forward look: a gold Markarian brocade mini dress with flowing ribbons, paired with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and vintage accessories.

Finding the Right Planner for a Destination Wedding

The couple quickly realized that planning from afar required a trusted guide. After interviewing several planners, they knew Junebug vendor Bougainvillea Weddings was the perfect fit.

“Her background as a floral designer was important to us,” Amanda explained. “We wanted a planner with strong creative vision and impeccable style, and Estela has that.” She also brought expertise in Persian ceremonies and deep local connections, ensuring every detail was cohesive and high quality. “Estela and her team brought everything together so beautifully.”

JB Tip: Choose a planner whose strengths complement your own. If you’re organized, find someone with design expertise (or vice versa) so nothing is overlooked.

Bringing Cultures Together Through Wedding Fashion

On the wedding day, she wore a strapless lace Dana Harel gown with intricate detailing, paired with a delicate veil and borrowed jewelry. “I knew it was the one when my mom started crying,” Amanda shared. Later, she changed into a pearl-embellished Watters mini dress for dancing.

Parsa matched the elegance with a custom Suit Supply tuxedo and cufflinks gifted by Amanda’s parents. For their rooftop portraits, they shared private vows–an intimate moment away from the crowd.

A Persian Ceremony at Instituto Allende

Their Instituto Allende wedding ceremony was filled with lush florals that looked as though they grew naturally from fountains and trees. The highlight was the Persian Sofreh Gghd table, symbolizing abundance, sweetness, and family blessings.

“Several married women took turns grinding sugar above our heads to sweeten the marriage,” Amanda shared. Poems were read in both Persian and Spanish before they exchanged vows, blending their cultures seamlessly.

As they recessed, a mariachi band played Amanda’s favorite song, “Sabor a Mí.”. Giant dancing puppets resembling the couple–known as mojigangas–joined cocktail hour, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.

An Instituto Allende Wedding Reception Hidden Behind the Murals

Guests were surprised when the reception space revealed itself, a breathtaking courtyard with views of the Parroquia. The tented ceiling dripped with magenta florals and bronze lanterns, while candlelit tables created a romantic atmosphere.

Special touches included a live first dance song performed by a close friend, hookahs for guests, and tequila bottles entrusted to table captains to keep the party going, a beloved Mexican tradition. They also included a Persian knife dance before the cake cutting.

Shop Hanging Lanterns:

“It was very helpful for a select few close family and friends to know the run of the show,” Amanda noted. “They were able to guide others so we weren’t constantly fielding questions.”

Lessons Learned From Planning a Destination Wedding

Looking back, Amanda and Parsa say the best decision they made was leaning into who they are as a couple and letting that guide every choice. Their Instituto Allende wedding became more than just a party. It was a reflection of their love for one another, their families, and the cultures that shaped them.

Couple’s advice: “Decide early on what matters most to you and invest there,” Amanda said. “For us, it was florals, food, and fashion. Everything else can be simplified, and you’ll still end up with a day that feels completely yours.”

TheKnotInItaly Celebrates 25 Years of Couture Destination Weddings

September 14, 2025 | marissa

How many wedding professionals can you name with 25 years of experience under their belt? Even for us at Junebug Weddings, the list is short. When it comes to unparalleled expertise paired with dream-worthy locales, one planner stands out: TheKnotInItaly. For a quarter of a century, co-founder Rossana Sapori and her team have quietly orchestrated some of the most breathtaking destination weddings across Italy and the South of France. Their work balances meticulous planning with warmth and creativity, leaving couples—and their guests—singing their praises long after the celebration ends.

A scroll through their Instagram tells the story best. Couples, colleagues, and friends alike share glowing accounts of Rossana and her team, proving not only their ability to execute memorable events but meaningful, unforgettable experiences too. As TheKnotInItaly celebrates its 25th anniversary, the agency isn’t just reflecting on hundreds of weddings completed—it’s looking forward to the next chapter of its already remarkable journey.

A Quarter Century of Love Stories

TheKnotInItaly defines itself as a team of wedding couturiers. It’s an apt description. Over the past 25 years, they’ve planned more than 700 weddings and events across Italy and the South of France, each one designed with hospitality, kindness, style, and elegance at its core.

For Rossana, the ability to listen deeply is at the heart of her work. We call ourselves wedding couturiers because we tailor every celebration around the couple,” she explains. “It begins with listening—truly understanding who they are, how they love, and what they want their guests to feel—then weaving those elements into a coherent, beautiful experience that makes sense in the chosen destination.”

An Unmatched Collection of Venues

One of TheKnotInItaly’s most powerful offerings is its unparalleled venue collection. With more than 500 locations in its portfolio, the agency guides couples through an overwhelming landscape of options to find a setting that feels like home. Each venue is carefully chosen for its ability to immerse guests in Italian or French culture, with service, ambiance, and sense of place as key considerations.

Rossana describes venue selection as the foundation of every celebration: “My biggest challenge is helping couples see beyond the surface. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, a dream that deserves to be realized in the right setting. Don’t settle for what looks good at first glance—look deeper, trust the process, and choose what truly feels right.” TheKnotInItaly helps couples navigate beyond catalogs and price lists to discover venues that feel authentic, memorable, and perfectly suited to their destination wedding.

Consider TheKnotInItaly as your Mediterranean location specialists. Across Italy and the South of France, each destination brings its own flavor. The French Riviera offers Riviera-chic terraces and yacht-ready coastlines; Amalfi and Capri deliver cliffside romance with lemon grove tastings, private boat excursions, and candlelit cloisters; Lake Como exudes lakeside refinement with historic villas and waterfront dinners; Puglia’s whitewashed villages, olive groves, and restored masserie create a rustic-meets-contemporary canvas; and Sicily’s dramatic landscapes, baroque estates, and heritage cuisine set the stage for truly sensorial celebrations. With TheKnotInItaly, every location is more than a backdrop—it’s a fully immersive experience for couples and their guests.

The Planning Model: Design, Experience, Logistics, Trust

So you have to wonder just what has helped TheKnotInItaly achieve their commendable success? The agency’s reputation rests on consistency and care: the confidence to manage complex, multi-day programs paired with the sensitivity to make every guest—from grandparents to toddlers—feel included. That blend of precision and warmth is what makes their weddings not just beautiful, but deeply meaningful.

TheKnotInItaly’s signature planning model rests on four carefully honed pillars:

  • Tailored Design: Each event begins with a custom concept. The palette, florals, lighting, tablescapes, and materials are chosen not only to reflect the couple but to belong authentically to the setting.
  • Immersive Guest Experience: The team believes a wedding is not a single day but a journey. They curate thoughtful multi-day programs that might include welcome baskets filled with local goods, aperitivo hours with small producers, lemon grove processions accompanied by mandolins, or late-night granita carts in Sicily. Every touchpoint deepens the connection between guests and place.
  • Flawless Logistics: From accommodation blocks and travel transfers to pacing, accessibility, and climate considerations, every logistical layer is intentionally guest-centric. This ensures celebrations unfold seamlessly, while allowing couples and their loved ones to be fully present.
  • Trusted Partnerships: Over the years, the agency has built a network of world-class florists, chefs, musicians, artisans, and production crews. Each partner is selected not just for excellence, but for their ability to honor the character of the destination.

It’s a model that blends creativity with precision. Behind the scenes, timelines are managed, rehearsals are run, and onsite coordination ensures that couples feel calm and cared for. As Rossana puts it, “Our work is not only about beautiful photos; it’s about crafting a celebration where each guest leaves with a magnificent memory of the wedding and of the place they discovered.”

Looking Ahead

While the past 25 years are worth celebrating, TheKnotInItaly is excitedly looking to the future. “As we look to the next 25 years, we are growing our portfolio of venues and experiences while staying true to what matters most: hospitality, kindness, style, and elegance,” Rossana shares. “We’re particularly excited about Puglia, where the architecture, cuisine, and pace of life create a unique canvas for celebrations. And we continue to refine offerings across Capri, Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, and the French Riviera to ensure each event feels both effortless and unforgettable.”

Every wedding, Rossana reminds us, is a story. After a quarter-century, TheKnotInItaly remains devoted to the same mission it began with: exceeding expectations and creating memories that last a lifetime. Here’s to 25 years of unforgettable celebrations—and to the countless love stories still to come.
