4. Clarkie Photography

Rich delivered on every level. He was professional and tenacious, fun and funny — all invaluable qualities when you spend 15 hours together on one of the most emotionally charged days of your life. The images Rich captured are authentic, intimate, and beautiful windows into it. We’d hire Rich again in a heartbeat.”

5. Sharron Gibson

Photography style: Documentary photojournalism

Reviews: “What an amazing lady Sharron is! The whole process was so easy and relaxed, and the end result was spectacular. During the day, Sharron makes you feel so at ease and captures so many precious moments beautifully. She was able to cater to all our needs and the turnaround time for receiving photos was excellent. We can’t thank Sharron enough. We will treasure these photos forever.”

6. Married to my Camera

Photography style: Crisp documentary

Good for: Couples who love light and airy wedding photos

Reviews: “David was the perfect photographer for our wedding. He captured the day perfectly and caught the little moments which was really important to us. All the planning was so easy, and he came to our church rehearsal the day before the wedding so he could talk through the last details. He melted into the background and somehow managed to be everywhere at once to snapshots of everything! He made the couple’s portraits comfortable and fun and totally listened to everything we wanted. All our guests are saying how brilliant the photos are! He even got them to us just three weeks after the wedding, plus the sneak peeks on Instagram two days after the day were a lovely extra.”

7. Natalie Pluck Photography

Photography style: Contemporary fine art

Good for: Couples who consider themselves hopeless romantics

Reviews: “The moment I came across Natalie’s Instagram, I instantly knew that I wanted her as my wedding photographer, and booking her was one of the best decisions I made! Everyone tells you your wedding goes in a flash, and they are not lying! But Natalie took absolutely amazing pictures and captured everything perfectly so I could relive the day over and over again.”

8. Emma-Jane Photography

Photography style: Fashion-inspired documentary

Good for: Artistic couples

Reviews: “Words can’t describe how amazing Emma was on our wedding day (and for the whole lead-up). We are ecstatic with all our amazing pictures to capture our special day. She knew what we wanted better than we did and was so friendly, professional, creative, and a true expert at what she does”

9. York Place Studios

Photography style: Candid documentary

Good for: Couples who aren’t afraid of artistic shots

Reviews: “Oh my lord, these guys are good. I’d give them six stars if I could. We saw the photos they did of a friend’s wedding and were completely blown away by what we saw, so had high hopes when we booked Dom and Liam for ours. And boy, did they deliver. They absolutely captured the atmosphere, the feeling, the love. The photos are intimate, expressive, and stunningly artistic. And they are SO NICE to deal with – professional, passionate, lovely. “

10. Damian Brandon Photography

Photography style: Documentary with an artistic narrative flair

Good for: Couples who want every detail of the day captured

Reviews: “Damian’s approach is far from conventional, focusing on the principal subjects and their day rather than the occasion itself, spending time getting to know what makes them tick, what is important to them, etc… The result? Well, to my mind, as the father of this particular bride, he has applied a magical touch that has very effectively taken far more than an image. Each frame has captured and recorded the emotion, humour, fun, and meaning of each moment in a way that will provide instant recall of the warmth and uniqueness of that day every time we look at them. Some of the shots are unusual, perhaps quirky but nonetheless delightful, as they record some moments that otherwise might go unnoticed”

11. Ellie Gillard Photography

Photography style: Modern photography with an edge

Good for: Couples who aren’t afraid to say “no” to tradition

Reviews: “We are utterly blown away by Ellie’s work. I literally feel transported back to our wedding day when I look at our photo gallery and 7 months on we still can’t decide which photos to go into an album as each one tells a story. Such special moments have been captured that we will treasure for a lifetime. Ellie is awesome, and out of everything we spent cash dollar on getting hitched, Ellie was worth every single dime.”

12. Laura Dean Photography

Photography style: Timeless storytelling

Good for: Couples searching for photos that bring a warm, cozy feeling

Reviews: “Laura captured our elopement wedding. It was our dream to have a unique and intimate ceremony, break a few traditions and have a special day that was just about us and our little girls. Having an elopement without friends and family really meant we wanted beautiful photos to capture the day and share with our loved ones when we got back. From first spotting Laura’s work to chatting with her on the phone, I felt like she completely understood the whole concept, her style was right, she was supportive, creative, knowledgeable, and gave us the confidence those all-important images were in safe hands. Before we’d even come down from the high of our big (little) day she’d sent through the first of our photos, and they were beautiful, so much more special than we could have even imagined. I cannot recommend Laura enough.“

These London wedding photographers are just some of the incredible wedding vendors that we support! If you’re looking for even more talent, be sure to check out our vendor directory, where you’ll find everything from planners to florists to DJs. Because finding your dream team shouldn’t be difficult.

Whimsical Summer Solstice Coeur d’Alene Wedding

July 20, 2023 | kailey

Katherine and Varun had their hearts set on a wedding weekend packed with intention and all of their favorite people. That’s why, when it came time to tie the knot, they knew exactly where they wanted to say their ‘I dos.’ It was none other than Katherine’s stunning lakefront family property—the very spot where Varun popped the question

With the help of event planner Jaime Johnson, they transformed the property into a wildflower haven. Garden of Eden Floral Design added that extra pop of personality with a custom asymmetrical arch and the dainty seasonal blooms that adorned the wooden chairs. Plus, infusing the wedding space with vibrant colors of the summer season completed the outdoor ceremony location and enhanced the Coeur d’Alene lake backdrop. Every detail was worthy of celebrating with a cozy cabin reception complete with twinkling lights, cake, and a whole lot of dancing.

Lucky for us, Junebug photographer Jaime Denise captured every moment that made this Coeur d’Alene wedding oh-so-special. From colorful floral arrangements to whimsical fashion, all the summer wedding inspiration is just a scroll away.

A Wedding Day Turned Weekend Long Coeur d’Alene Wedding

Varun and I are most proud of how wildly fun and connective our wedding was for everyone! We saw it as an opportunity to blend our very different worlds, especially coming out of a pandemic that prevented Varun from seeing and me from meeting his Australia and India-based family and friends for four years. We jokingly called it Camp McDadi (a blend of our last names) because we filled our days with hikes, sports, games, and parties. We kept the wedding small (due to lack of space mostly), so by the end of the 3.5 days, everyone really knew each other. And everyone had an absolute blast.

The Moment You See Your Vision Come to Life

One memory of particular note was walking down the aisle with my father and seeing the vision I had in my mind for so many months come to life in a way beyond my wildest dreams. This was all thanks to the unbelievably talented Garden of Eden Floral Design. And to see my community gathered in this beautiful little world she created, with the love of my life waiting for me next to my sister, who officiated, against the backdrop of the place I love most in this world—that was extraordinary.

Advice From the Newlyweds: Don’t be Afraid to Ask for Help

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! I spent too many months buried under the weight of it all before I began delegating tasks effectively. That worked okay for a while, but I eventually decided to hire a wedding planner to smooth out the details and relieve stress. That’s when I found the indomitable Jaime Johnson—she made all the difference, especially on the day of. She took care of everything with so much professionalism and care, so me and my loved ones could be fully present in the moments that really mattered. Best decision ever, the best wedding planner ever.

Transforming Their Family’s Property Into the Perfect ‘I Do’ Space

We chose my family’s property on Lake Coeur d’Alene because it holds deep significance and family history for me. It has also become meaningful to Varun, as well. The property has been in my family for 70 years, with my then-11-year-old father helping my granddad build the original cabin by hand. The property has evolved as the family has grown, and now two generations have spent almost every summer here. Varun even proposed in the exact spot we had our ceremony.

DIY Details to Help Welcome Their Guests to their Coeur d’Alene Wedding

We wanted all of our guests to feel welcome and well cared for during their time with us, so I handmade a lot of small details that I thought would go a long way in making each person feel connected and special. I made personalized welcome bags for everyone, with everything from tea to face masks, from electrolytes to incense. Also inside were programs that I had designed on Canva that gave folks a clear idea of the weekend ahead—where to be, when, and in what attire. Additionally, Varun and I hand-wrote personalized cards to everyone, with flowers and a wax seal enclosing the envelope, that we handed out on the morning before folks left. It took significant time and effort to create these beforehand, but it only added to the experience of love and connection we all felt. Well worth the effort.

Working With Junebug Photographer Jaime Denise at their Coeur d’Alene Wedding

Working with Jaime Denise was a wonderful experience. Varun and I are admittedly camera shy and don’t spend much time in front of the lens, so we were nervous about the shoot. But her warmth and professionalism made a world of difference to us, and we felt immediately comfortable in her care. It was so easy to trust her to do what she does best, and she went above and beyond. We adore the photos.
