A Texas State Capitol Wedding Brimming With Unique Details

January 15, 2021 | riley

When most people think of a State Capitol wedding, they probably think of a small elopement or a private civil ceremony. But Liliana and Cesar’s Texas State Capitol wedding included 250 guests for some not-so-traditional courthouse “I do’s.” With the help of planner XO Moreau Weddings, the couple turned the House Chambers into a romantic backdrop using only burgundy and ivory florals from Stems Floral Design to enhance the natural beauty of the space.

After tying the knot, the newlyweds, accompanied by Mariachi Relampago, held their first dance in the Capitol’s rotunda, surrounded by hundreds–talk about a memorable detail. We love that they continued the party at the Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt, where they drank, danced, and enjoyed a cake replica of the Texas Capitol building created by Michelle’s Patisserie. Oh, and did we mention that this was the first Hispanic couple to say their vows in the State Capitol? There’s nothing like making memories and history.

So keep scrolling to see every stunning detail, captured beautifully by Junebug member Nikk Nguyen Photo!

Using The Texas State Capitol As Decor Inspiration

The architecture and design of the House Floor is so intricate, and a lot of the elements we couldn’t move (House Representative desks, chairs, podiums, etc), so we structured the ceremony design to enhance the natural beauty of the space. The florals matched perfectly with the draping behind the podium and were carefully placed to frame the space where Liliana & Cesar said “I do.”

A First Dance In The Heart of it All

Mariachi Relampago led Liliana & Cesar from their first kiss, down a grand staircase, and into the rotunda for their first dance. Hundreds of people stood on the balconies of all levels in the rotunda to watch and cheer. The mariachis then took Liliana, Cesar, and all 250 wedding guests outside to continue the performance and celebrations.

Stunning Torres Del Paine National Park Elopement

January 14, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

A pandemic clearly has not stopped 2020 power couples from exchanging their I do’s, and Ashley and Javi are no exception. This resilient couple originally wanted to throw an intimate wedding in their hometown, but the idea of eloping felt more spectacular. So they packed their backpacks and went hiking to the Torres Del Paine National Park and eloped with the mountains as their witnesses.

With help from wedding planner and Junebug Member The Creative’s Loft, this couple promised their love to each other at a gorgeous, snow-capped mountain range. The saying “love is in the details” was a theme for this elopement from a beautiful headpiece, white boots, and matching vow books. If you’re itching to hike up the mountains, let these photos by Anni Graham whisk you to the Torres Del Paine National Park.

Romantic Indoor Parisian Elopement Inspiration

January 12, 2021 | Junebug Weddings

Whoever said eloping has to be outside was sadly mistaken. This elopement embodies all of the elements of Paris—love, beauty, and romance. And the bridal gowns—a princess gown with a deep plunge and a form-fitting, ornate mermaid dress—are très chic to say the least. This indoor elopement styled by Through the Glass Paris and The Paris Elopement is proof that couples can elope glamorously indoors regardless of the weather, or a global pandemic.

Keep scrolling to see matching vow books, gorgeous floral arrangements, and a room fit for two. Be prepared to book a trip to France after seeing these two beauties at this gorgeous apartment in the city of love.

Wedding Planning Advice

Planning your wedding day should be fun and exciting, even a micro wedding, it should not be something that makes you stressed. If you don’t have enough time and don’t know how to start, think about engaging a wedding planner.

Why An Indoor Parisian Elopement

We would like to inspire couples so that they think about the indoor possibilities for their elopement in Paris. In autumn and winter, for example, the weather might get too cold to do the ceremony outside. You can just elope anywhere you’d like, such as an indoor venue like a Parisian apartment, Haussmann style building. You can still achieve chic and stylish vibes

What’s Paris Without Love?

We loved seeing the wedding exit with confetti come to life while our brides danced, enjoying their time together, and sipping champagne.
