Bold Bougainvillea Filled Lane San Diego Wedding

June 1, 2023 | kailey

In a world overflowing with extravagant wedding inspiration, Mikaela and Dustin chose to embrace the elegance of simplicity. With the help of wedding planner Events Inspired, their big day unfolded as a timeless testament to their love captivating all in attendance. From the industrial oceanfront venue to the sustainable floral arrangements, it’s safe to say that no detail was overlooked or forgotten.

With stunning ocean views, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an open outdoor terrace, The Lane made the perfect blank slate for this San Diego celebration. To infuse the bright white industrial space with charm, the couple turned to Nurture Flora Co to create eye-catching and sustainable arrangements. The results included an asymmetrical ceremony backdrop, pop-of-color bouquets, and delicate blooms bringing life to their reception tables. While flowers were the main event, let’s not forget to taco-bout their catering choice. Guests went crazy for the taco buffet—a yummy way to kick off a night of dancing

Whether you’re looking for eco-friendly wedding ideas or reception outfit change ideas that (may or may not) include light-up shoes, we guarantee these images by photographer By Darius will provide you with an abundant amount of inspiration to draw upon.

Taking the Time to Appreciate Their Guests and Their Vendors

We are really proud of the time we set aside to talk to all our guests! We wanted to really express our appreciation and tell them how grateful we are for their attendance. Also, very proud of all the vendors capturing our vibe and vision! I was pretty vague with my wedding vision, so you could really tell that this was not their first rodeo. They knew what they were doing, and the vision came to life! It seemed like all the vendors had worked together a million times before. Everything went so smoothly.

Golden Hour Vows to Kick Off This Lane San Diego Wedding

One moment that holds such a special place in our hearts was when we were saying our vows during the sunset. At first, I didn’t want to write our own vows, but Dustin convinced me, and I am so glad he did. They were short, sweet, and to the point. I thought I would be nervous, but it was the exact opposite. We both felt so at peace standing in front of all our family and friends. In that moment, God brought us together, and all glory goes to him!

The Importance of Hiring a Wedding Planner

Our advice is to get a wedding planner! There are so many floating details leading up to the wedding day I could never keep track on my own. It is so worth it. My planner, Stephanie from Events Inspired, was the best! Every time we met up or talked about wedding details, my stress would go away. She had everything under control.
