Gorgeous Countryside Wedding in Marche, Italy

May 22, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Gorgeous-Countryside-Wedding-in-Marche,-Italy (23 of 28)

Marcella and Maher envisioned an elegant wedding in the Italian countryside. Because of the countryside’s natural beauty, the couple decided to add only a few simple touches. Creating a classic vintage theme, the bride road to the ceremony in a vintage 1949 Jaguar. The old brick walls and antique metal gate at the Symposium Quattro Stagioni in Marche, Italy produced a romantic, intimate setting that was perfect for the couple to exchange vows. Classic white florals dressed the venue as talented photographer Nicola Tonolini captured the beautiful moments.

The Couple:

Marcella and Maher

The Wedding:

Symposium Quattro Stagioni, Marche, Italy

The Inspiration:

The best way to describe the theme and decor would be country chic, as it was a very elegant wedding in the Italian countryside, on the hills.

The Moments:

It’s difficult to choose a moment, as the whole day was absolutely perfect, from the ceremony to the food to the party. But if we had to choose, we would say the ceremony, in an absolutely idyllic setting, hosted by our two eldest brothers.

The Couple Recommends:

We definitely recommend Nicola Tonolini and Giacomo Cagnetti. They both did a remarkable job. We couldn’t have asked for more stunning wedding photos and a more stunning wedding video. They’re amazing professionals, true artists. Till this day we haven’t seen better wedding photos and videos. This is why we chose them in the first place, because they’re the best in Italy. And on top of everything, they’re extremely lovely people. I was also very happy however with the venue, as the cuisine is absolutely amazing. The chef, Lucio Pompili, is a Michelin-starred chef. His wife, Cristina, has an amazing attention to details and helped out tremendously with the organization. I was also extremely happy with the experience at Ratti Boutique and with the make-up artist/hair stylist. But Nicola and Giacomo were our true stars.

Eclectic Brooklyn Wedding at Acqua Santa

May 21, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Eclectic-Brooklyn-Wedding-Acqua-Santa-Kate-Edwards (9 of 30)

Vibrant colors, 700 handmade paper cranes, and the coolest venues Brooklyn has to offer set the stage for Annamarie and Andrew’s eclectic wedding. Jove Meyer Events created a playful wonderland of texture and color in Acqua Santa for the couple’s ceremony, filled with greenery and hanging origami. The fun didn’t stop as everyone moved over to Lock Yard Beer Garden for dinner and dancing into the night, all of which was brilliantly captured by Kate Edwards Weddings.

The Couple:

Annamarie and Andrew

The Wedding:

Acqua Santa, Brooklyn, New York

The Inspiration:

When Andrew and I first started planning our wedding, we wanted to make sure we chose a setting that was unique to our style and personality. We are a laid back, non traditional couple and one thing we both agreed on was that we did not want our wedding to be held in a traditional banquet hall.

I love crafting and DIY, so I knew I wanted to incorporate a lot of handmade elements into the day. My biggest project were the paper crane back drops I made for the ceremony. Over the course of about six months I hand folded 700 cranes on my own! It was a huge task, but so rewarding and worth it. I had sourced a lot of décor from various Etsy designers — including our vintage mailbox card holder, bunting flags, Guest Mad libs cards, wedding programs, and our wooden hart chip shadow box (our guest book alternative). I also love color, so my palette was a combination of bright turquoise (partly inspired by the chairs at Acqua Santa), deep corals, and plums, with accent neutrals like our burlap table runners and aisle runner. We wanted the day to be a celebration of our love, without the stuffiness of a traditional wedding, and thanks to my wedding coordinator Jove Meyer, I really think we nailed it!

The Moments:

There are so many amazing and memorable moments from the big day that it’s hard to choose just one but I would have to say my favorite part was walking down the aisle with my Dad to the Foo Fighter’s “Everlong” and seeing Andrew at the other end smiling as wide as can be. It was like a surreal experience that all of this was finally happening, I was so emotional and overjoyed! I also was so overwhelmed by all of our friends and family that came to celebrate our love. Just seeing everyone having a great time, laughing, dancing, smiling — it still brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it!

The Couple Recommends:

I would highly recommend Jove Meyer, my angel of a wedding planner. He executed my vision even better than i could have anticipated! Not to mention everyone at the wedding loved his friendly personality and his great style! Kate Edwards was also great — her photography is just beautiful and it was a joy to have her and her assistant Veronica shoot our big day!
