Botanical Warehouse Wedding at 701 Whaley

March 24, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Botanical meets industrial in Taylor and Fred’s late-summer wedding at 701 Whaley. The warehouse venue offered lots of natural light and historical charm, which made it the perfect canvas to add minimal details, such as exotic floral arrangements from Mea Flowers and a DIY polaroid guest book station. The bride’s bohemian-inspired look from Ivory and Beau stayed true to the organic vibe the couple created for their day. We love how Sanford Creative captured every romantic moment, especially the groom’s emotional reaction during the first look!

The Couple:

Taylor and Fred

The Wedding:

701 Whaley, Columbia, South Carolina

Our best advice is to enjoy the journey and treasure every moment you have to plan this incredible day with your loved ones!

My mom is the DIY queen! My favorite project was the Polaroid guest book. It’s such a special way to remember the day!

Recessional – “This Will Be Our Year” by The Zombies
First Dance – “Real Love Baby” by Father John Misty

Right after Fred and I left the reception, we pulled over on the side of the road, held each other and just kept saying, “We’re married!” We were bursting with joy and excitement. I’ll never forget that special moment we shared as husband and wife.

Budget-Friendly Blue and White Dallas Wedding at event1013

March 24, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Between the romantic photos in the rain, the coziness of the historic, urban venue, and the super sweet father-daughter dance, Jessica and Nate’s wedding at event1013 grabbed us by the heart strings and refuses to let go! The couple’s budget-friendly mindset focused on adding authentically charming details that spoke to their personalities and care-abouts, such as handmade floral arrangements and desserts catered by local bakeries. The bride’s gorgeous cold-shoulder dress from Patsy’s Bridal was outdone only by her contagious energy and dazzling smile. Jeff Brummett Visuals did an incredible job capturing every sweet moment and beautiful detail of this Texas wedding!

The Couple:

Jessica and Nate

The Wedding:

event1013, Plano, Texas

It was foggy and lightly raining on our wedding day. At first, it made me nervous when I woke up and saw it was cloudy. But it actually ended up being great for the photography lighting, and the temperature was in the 60s, which was pretty nice for a Texas January.

There were 4 things that were absolutely important to us: photography, food, flowers, and budget. I (Jessica) am a very visual person, so I wanted a photographer who shared the same style as me. Jeff was the perfect match! The food was also VERY important to Nate and I, especially the desserts. We had a table full of cakes and pies and cheesecakes from local bakeries. I decided to get my flowers from a wholesaler so my mom, bridesmaids, and I could put the bouquets and boutonnières together ourselves. That ended up being a really fun project we did together the day before the wedding. Last, but not least, we didn’t want to go crazy with unnecessary spending for our wedding. We understood that the wedding was just one day and what really mattered was the marriage, which is WAY more important. We kept it cheap by borrowing most of our décor from friends, buying flowers wholesale, and having a wedding on a Sunday afternoon.
