Davis and Michael’s heartfelt Italian destination wedding was a celebration of love, family, and tradition set in the breathtaking Villa Corsini. “We wanted a colorful yet sophisticated garden wedding, and the villa’s views of olive groves and vineyards made it the perfect choice,” the couple shared. Its close proximity to Florence made it even better, giving their guests plenty of nearby accommodation options and a short, scenic ride to the venue on the big day.
The ceremony was the heart of the celebration. “It was incredibly special,” they said. “Having our pastor from home marry us at our destination wedding, surrounded by our closest friends and family who traveled so far to be there, was something we’ll never forget.” With an altar framed by wildflowers and the rolling hills of Chianti in the distance, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate, personal ceremony that felt truly magical.
Working with Junebug vendor Giulia Alessandri, Davis and Michael brought their dream Italian wedding to life. Don’t stop now—see how they made their vision a reality and enjoy every gorgeous detail captured by Lenny Pellico.
The perfect way to kick off the day— the bride sharing a toast with her bridesmaids, champagne in hand, as they get ready together.
Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen are celebrating with a fun champagne spray in the picturesque garden, soaking in the joy of the moment.
A truly special moment—the bride’s first look with her father. As she stepped into his sight, their emotional exchange captured the love and pride between them.
The ceremony setup was truly enchanting, with sweeping views providing a breathtaking backdrop. Surrounded by the venue’s natural beauty, the stunning scenery spoke for itself, requiring minimal décor. The altar, framed by ground wildflowers and complemented by ghost chairs, blended flawlessly with the manicured gardens, allowing the landscape to truly take center stage.
Davis designed many of the stationery pieces herself, including the save-the-dates, invitations, programs, and menus, which seamlessly tied into the overall decor.
“Our pastor from Kentucky flew all the way to Florence to marry us, which made the moment even more meaningful,” the couple recalled. To make their heartfelt Italian destination wedding even more special, they invited their immediate families to the altar to share a prayer over their marriage.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom wandered the grounds, taking some time to snap portraits in the gorgeous setting.
The reception continued the garden theme inside the ornate banquet hall, where two long tables were adorned with lush florals and soft candlelight.
“During the dinner, we included a small Limoncello shot at each place setting to embrace Italian culture,” they said. “We also added Louis Sherry chocolates from New York to bring a bit of American charm to our guests since we live in NYC!”

Fireworks lit up the sky, setting the stage for an unforgettable Italian destination wedding as guests gathered to dance, celebrate, and enjoy the night.
Looking back, Davis and Michael’s advice for couples planning their own destination weddings? “Planning from abroad can be a challenge, but with the right planner, it’s absolutely worth it,” they shared. “Our day was a dream come true, and we couldn’t have done it without Giulia Alessandri and our amazing vendors.”
