This antique-inspired German wedding at Hotel Kloster Nimbschen is full of DIY details and tons of romance! The bride and groom handmade tons of reception hall bunting, upholstered their own chairs for dinner, and even burned CDs of their favorite love songs for guests to take home as favors. Not only does this adorable couple have some serious DIY skills, but their wedding day styles are totally romantic and timeless – we can’t stop fawning over Natalie’s Stella York gown. We always know we’re in for a treat when we come across a wedding by photographer Kevin Klein, and Natalie and Julian’s is no exception.

The Couple:

Natalie and Julian

The Wedding:

I was inspired by an ancient Greek bridal look so I chose my accessories according to that style. The dress was vintage inspired, with a lot of lace, and a nice coffee undertone. I loved the fitting of my dress, a mix between A-line and mermaid.

We sewed all the garlands for the barn. Julian did the cutting and ironing, and I did the rest. We also upholstered our chairs for the ceremony, which we bought at an antique- market in Leipzig. Additionally we designed some wooden signs with bible verses for the ceremony.

  1. Super romantic wedding. I love the wedding dress and all of the vibrant colors used for the decoration.

  2. I have transformed the bridal bouquet of the couple in a work of art. Art from the pressed flowers. The alternative to dried wedding bouquet of florametaphorica. I love the design of saltoflorale. A big pleasure everytime. Thanks Natalie und Julian and good luck
