Minimalist Glam Garden Wedding at Madsen’s Greenhouse

When Samantha and Chantal went looking for a venue that allowed them to be close to nature, felt airy and intimate, and had a distinctly whimsical vibe, they knew Madsen’s Greenhouse was the one from the very first peek through the windows! Because of the lush, secret-garden feel of the space, the brides’ minimalist and modern decor were the perfect finishing touches to bring a personal touch while allowing the venue to still feel airy and bright. Room to Bloom kept the floral palette crisp with white flowers and loads of greenery, and Artsy Baker filled a donut wall and dessert table with treats that would satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth! From Samantha and Chantal’s romantic newlywed portraits to all the squad-goal wedding party photos, Bows & Lavender nailed capturing every moment of this unforgettable greenhouse wedding!

It was important for us to stay true to ourselves. When it comes to planning your day you can get so consumed into what everyone else is doing that you forget what things are special to you. It was important for us to find a venue that felt like us and to just simply enjoy, enjoy the presence of the people we love most, enjoy the moment and enjoy each other.

We searched a long time for our venue. All of the places we were visiting just didn’t feel like us. We wanted it to be light, airy, intimate, natural and whimsical and we had this idea in our head but couldn’t seem to find it. One day we came across a venue 20 minutes from our hometown, a place we had not even heard of before called Madsen’s Greenhouse. It was the middle of winter and the owners were away for the next couple of weeks but there was only 1 Saturday left for the following summer, we ended up booking over the phone having just looked through the window, just seeing that alone we knew it was our vibe.

Just do you and forget about all of the noise. When you finally get to your day take little moments to take it all in because it goes by so fast. Our photographers snuck us away a few times throughout the night and I didn’t ever realize how much that meant at the moment but I now know it gave us a minute to just absorb the day.

Our photographers were Jessy and Brandon from Bows & Lavender. First, they’re married to each other and are couple goals! They are probably two of the coolest people we know! They are friends of ours from our hometown and we knew we had to have them. Not only are they insanely talented, they have the most incredible aura to them. They both light up a room as soon as they walk into it and they are always in the right place at the right time. Most of the time we didn’t even know they were taking photos, so we were totally surprised when we got our pictures back they had captured moments that we didn’t even know happened. They also were so amazing at letting us enjoy our time but also taking us away for breaks in times we didn’t even know we needed them. I am most grateful that they helped us and encouraged us to take those moments to reflect throughout the day.

This Folksy Quebec Wedding at La Maison Bohème is Positively Enchanting

There aren’t many couples we know who would give up full control of planning and design to be completely surprised on their wedding day but, for Katherine and Francis, that decision paid off big time! They provided Le Coeur Bohème with ideas of what they liked, and then let the dynamic planning team take it from there, transforming La Maison Bohème into a rustic boho dreamland. From the cozy ceremony nestled beneath large trees to the grazing table overflowing with delicious eats made by Le Chef Bohème, this wedding had a laid-back feel that focused on community and sharing. Hellébore Créations Florales also did a phenomenal job creating floral arrangements in autumnal tones that enhanced the folksy vibe while blending seamlessly with the natural landscape. All in all, this wedding was truly something special, and photographer Marion Brunel captured every moment brilliantly!

The most memorable part of the day was definitely the ceremony. As a bride, walking down the aisle with my father was one of the only things I intended to keep traditional. The emotion started there — with the SYML song, ‘’Where’s my love’’ in the background — walking to my future husband while discovering this amazing decor, in this tiny forest beside the house and our intimate 35 guests. Saying our vows under the trees was my favorite part because, for a moment, I felt like we were alone, only the two of us. 

Working with Marion Brunel was really nice. Marion is really sweet and she intended to make us comfortable with the shooting process as we are a little bit shy in front of a camera. We decided with Marion that the wedding souvenir would be more like a ”lifestyle” photoshoot because we appreciate that more natural vibe and style. She also captured every detail of the day so we can keep a good memory of everything and every moment.

I wanted a simple boho wedding in nature with a lot of green/woods and an autumnal vibe. When we first talk to Le Coeur Bohème, I sent them my wedding board and that was exactly the style they planned to do. We decided to give ”carte blanche” to Le Coeur Bohème and to keep everything a surprise! So, we gave them ideas of the look and feel we liked and they imagined the rest.

This Simple Snoqualmie Pass Elopement Will Give You Plenty to Smile About

OT and DT brought all the sweetness in their intimate Snoqualmie Pass elopement! The couple traveled across the world to tie the knot in this epic mountain location and required nothing more than two handsome suits, a few special witnesses, a bottle of champagne, and two well-dressed stuffed bears. Rain and Pines helped put all the simple details together into a day that was bursting with joy and felt as natural as could be. No frills, just plenty of love! We’re going to be smiling for days after looking through all the intimate moments Henry Tieu Photography captured as this couple said “I do” to the greatest journey of their lives!

From the photographer: DT flew in from Vietnam and OT flew in from Norway to elope here in Washington. Their elopement was short and sweet but did not lack love and all the emotions. As a member of the LGBT community, I relate so much to their lives and their stories. They had to risk everything to be together and to build a life together. After their elopement, we just sat there and watched the sunset together. We talked about life and about their future.
