It comes as no surprise to see white at a wedding, but this Mallorca elopement inspiration captured by the talented KoKo Photography takes classic white and gold to another level! We’re catching serious feels over these jaw-dropping florals by Botanica Flowers, luxurious embossed Papelle stationary, and one of the most elegant Watters dresses we’ve ever seen. All of these details are a perfect match for the gorgeous Formentor Royal Hideaway Hotel — which makes an absolutely stunning location for a Mallorca elopement during the day or night. Take a look for yourself as you scroll from a gorgeous table setting designed and planned by Sarah Linow to a romantic candlelit dinner with drinks served in the most fabulous matte white STÖLZLE glassware.
Our mid-century Palm Springs wedding dreams just came true! Karaline and Luke celebrated their love in style with a Frederick Lowe Estate wedding. Details Darling absolutely slayed every detail of this day with the most creative seating chart display, tropical florals designed by Shindig Chic, and glamorous Adore Folklore rentals. We’re feeling super thankful that photographer Logan Cole and the stellar videography duo at Rora Film Co were there to capture it all! Note: Please scroll to the end to see their touching wedding film…and Luke’s rad Tom Ford jacket. If you’ve been dreaming of those tropical, mid-century wedding vibes, this Frederick Loewe Estate wedding won’t disappoint!
We are OBSESSED with The Office, we have seen the series start to finish a dozen times. Jim and Pam are the main love story in the show and on their wedding Michael Scott hand paints them a photo of themselves that looks like it was done by a toddler, so I found a print of that photo and framed it for him.
I was just SO excited to get the day started, people kept asking how I was in the morning and all I could say was “let’s do this” I was SO ready to see him & soak up as much time together that we could. He had been nervous the day before so I knew his emotions were building up and he would also be ready to just be together after saying our goodbyes at the rehearsal. We did it outside at the Estate and the second he turned around he burst into tears & our friends and family all started cheering. We had gone outside to do it privately but the bungalow is all glass, so they had all pulled the blinds up and were watching us from inside. It was really special.
We are high school sweethearts, we had been together for 11 years at that point so there was a big build up to the day. It had to be off the charts. It was also so important to us to just have fun. I wanted to be able to enjoy every moment together. We wanted all the posed photos to be done before the ceremony, minus the few sunset shots so that we could enjoy cocktail hour and every aspect with our guests. We put so much thought into every little detail and I didn’t want to miss a single moment of the day!
We like to think we were born in the wrong time. I love anything midcentury modern, and Luke loves playing classic vinyl. The whole goal was to mix modern, tropical vibes, and old Hollywood glam together. The venue itself lended the perfect backdrop, midcentury modern glass bungalow (can I move in tomorrow?) looking over the mountains, surrounded by palm trees. Shindig Chic added a slight tropical twist in the florals with big green palms and white orchids.
We had all of our guests wear black. We had a pretty strict dress code. We wanted everyone to be apart of our theme of black/tropical green/gold. So my bridesmaids wore silver/white to stand out, my mother wore white to match me, Luke moms wore blue with him & all other guests were in black!
AUBREY FROM DETAILS DARLING IS AN ANGEL!!! She was such a dream to work with, the entire planning process felt like I was working with my best friend. She knew how to take our vision and really bring it all to life. When she asked about us in our design meeting about how people would describe us my mom jumped in and said “Well Luke is a geologist and Kara loves diamonds!” Aubrey knew we had to play into this unique career and came up with the concept of “You’re My Rock” for a glamorous, gold fringe seating chart display. Guests found their names and table assignments listed on mini rock candy sticks that they took home as favors. The dinner menus were cut out in diamond shapes and small white geodes were placed on the tables + around the bars.
Wedding planning advice from the bride: Don’t forget that at the end of the day, it really is all about you and your new husband/wife. You’re never going to please every single person. So do what you want, soak up every moment, and have no regrets! Don’t let the little things overwhelm you, it’s all going to be perfect in the end.
Our wedding video just blew us away. Whenever we watch our video it takes us right back to every moment of the day. We’ve had strangers reach out to us & tell us they cried watching it not even knowing who we were!
Searching for a traditional wedding venue just doesn’t work for some couples. And that’s okay. Some couples are in search of venues with an epic backdrop, or they’re interested in making their guests hike with them before exchanging their vows. Whatever the reason, planning a national park wedding is the perfect way to showcase your love to each other and for the Earth.
The Prettiest National Park Wedding Venues
If traditional wedding venues have been lacking the epic factor you’re looking for, keep scrolling to get inspired by these incredible US national parks.
Acadia National Park, Maine
Acadia National Park is a 47,000-acre Atlantic coastal area covered in woodlands, rocky beaches, and glacier-scoured granite peaks like the Cadillac Mountain—the highest point on the U.S East Coast.
If you’re lucky, you might spot moose or even whales while exchanging your “I do’s!”
This park is best known for its, well, sandstone arches. Although the park is home to more than 2,000 delicate arches, the most recognizable is Delicate Arch. Expect perfectly blue skies, incredible sunsets, and plenty of sandstone.
Because Arches National Park is a desert, it’s best to visit in April through May, or September through October. During those times the temperatures average anywhere from 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit. In the summer, temperatures can get over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and there’s usually snow throughout the winter.
Six million acres of wilderness make up this park and it also includes tallest point in North America—Mount McKinley. This tundra provides spruce forests, glaciers, sheep, wolves, and grizzly bears.
Surprisingly enough, the park isn’t closed during the winter! Snow will cover the park, daylight disappears early, and temperatures drop significantly. You can also expect to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, scientifically known as Aurora Borealis.
Glacier National Park, Montana
Calling all hikers, this one’s for you. Glacier National Park boasts more than 700 miles of hiking trails including a route to the picturesque Hidden Lake. This park runs along the border of the United States and Canada, so be sure to bring your passport to pop back and forth after the ceremony.
Because this park is further north in the United States, check the weather before you book your adventure elopement. It snows as early as June in this national park and you’ll want to be sure you’re dressed appropriately.
Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
Holding strong to its place on the Natural Wonders of the World list, the Grand Canyon is truly a sight to see. Its layered bands of red rock showcase millions of years of geologic history. Although the hikes can be intense—and treacherous—there are also a handful of accessible viewpoints. Mather Point, Yavapai Observation Station, Lookout Studio, and Desert View Watchtower are only a few.
Junebug Tip:
Lipan Point is especially popular at sunrise and sunset for a reason. The cliff offers an unmatched view as your ceremony backdrop.
When you think of national parks, the image in your mind is probably something like Grand Teton. With an incredible view of the snow capped mountains, lush green valleys, and calm river waters, it’s picturesque. Enjoy a truly remote wedding experience in this national park.
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii
For some couples, romance with a touch of danger sends their hearts soaring. If the idea of saying your “I do’s” next to active volcanos is your cup of tea, we’d never dream of stopping you. Eloping in this truly unique setting offers ocean views, lush greenery, and—of course—volcanoes. We can’t wait to see your photos.
Joshua Tree National Park, California
There really isn’t anywhere on Earth quite like Joshua Tree National Park. This desert park features unique rock formations and distinct plantlife. A road runs through the entire park, so accessing the trails you’re most interested in is quite easy.
Mount Rainier National Park is the epitome of the Pacific Northwest vibes. The moody, foggy mountain has a variety of scenery. From lakes to greenery to mountain peaks, every location is perfect for your wedding adventure!
Aren’t sure what kind of nature you want to get married in? Olympic National Park is perfect thanks to its mountain views, lush rainforests, backpacking trails, and proximity to the Pacific coast. The park spans across nearly one million acres, so there’s plenty of room for any kind of national park wedding.
This national park is much more than tall trees. Yes, the tallest trees on Earth are here, but there are also prairies, oak woodlands, rivers, and even the coastline. Take a scenic drive, take in the splendid flora and fauna, and then say your “I do’s” under a canopy of towering trees.
Protected mountains, thick evergreen forests, and an alpine tundra all call Rocky Mountain National Park home. The summer and fall seasons bring large crowds to the park, so visiting in November through April is the best time of year to avoid onlookers to your wedding.
Junebug Tip:
Making a reservation isn’t required. But since this park is so popular it’s the only way to guarantee your spot.
Also known as The Land of Giants, Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks feature a dramatic landscape with huge mountains, canyons, caverns, foothills. The most famous giant sequoia tree, General Sherman, calls this national park home and is estimated to be more than 2,300 years old. Imagine nuptials with an ancient tree as your witness—talk about a unique ceremony backdrop.
The Skyline Drive, wetlands, waterfalls, and the Appalachian Trail make up this beautiful national park. This seriously romantic location is beautiful all year long. But it’s especially beautiful in the fall when 200,000 acres of trees are changing colors.
Virgin Islands National Park, US Virgin Islands
This national park is much more than just a collection of beautiful beaches, though they are part of the allure of this wedding location. These Caribbean islands are surrounded by coral reefs, woodlands, and crystal clear waters.
New Mexico is also called The Land of Enchantment, and this national park is no exception. The white sands stretch on for 275 square miles. There’s nothing quite like this place on Earth. The contrast of bright blue skies against the white sands will make for unforgettable images from your day.
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
Yellowstone was the first United States national park. It’s most well known for Old Faithful Geyser and the Grand Prismatic Spring. The park works well for couples looking to find a beautiful location without hiking or climbing to reach it.
Sunsets in Yosemite are some of the most beautiful ones on Earth. After exchanging your vows, we recommend a post-wedding hike up the incredible rock formations with your photographer to bask in the incredible views.
If you’re planning on hiking, splurge on a second wedding outfit and make it a jumpsuit.
Zion National Park, Utah
Zion National Park brings natural sandstone colors to your wedding with a jaw-dropping backdrop of cream, pink, and red cliffs. Somehow, this park manages to become even more spectacular during sunset.
Outdoor nuptials are always some of our favorites. The natural beauty of these places always shines when you’re working with incredible wedding photographers. Once you’ve settled on a national park venue, be sure to reach out to an expert wedding photographer to capture the best day of your life.
