Enchanting Portuguese Wedding in the Countryside

Janete and Nuno’s Portuguese wedding in the countryside was an enchanting fairy tale come true, complete with elegant lace, golden sunshine, and the sweetest happily ever after. I was inspired by the magical and wonderful style of Quinta de Sant’Ana. We loved the rustic chic style!

The Moments:

I loved our first dance. The DJ changed the music we had chosen and we had to improvise the dance. So we danced that music like if it was the First time we danced together. It was magic!

Mind-Blowing Iceland Engagement Session

Iceland is one of the most popular destinations as of late, but Priscilla and JJ’s engagement session is unlike anything we’ve seen. The couple spent an entire week trekking around the extraordinary landscape with Benjamin Le Du Photography, visiting each of the landmarks they had fallen in love with during previous trips. Each of these images is an exquisite masterpiece displaying not only Priscilla and JJ’s incredible love, but also the immense lightness of the stark white snow and the impossible darkness of the rocks and night sky just before the Northern Lights begin to shine.

Here’s what the couple had to say about their adventurous Iceland engagement session:

We arrived in Iceland in March 2015, best period to have snow, enough light, and, if you’re lucky, Northern Lights. We spent one week visiting all of those places that JJ and I had visited during our previous trips. That was crazy bringing photographers along to each of them. They immediately had the idea to make two different sessions, light and dark, that totally matched with the Icelandic atmosphere.

The average temperature felt was around -10°C, we had snow, rain, wind, etc. but totally worth the experience. The craziest memory was the shooting on the Jökulsárlón Ice Lagoon: JJ and I were on Icebergs while Benjamin and Muriel put their hands (and sometimes their head!) in the icy water to get those overwhelming pictures.

Chic Indoor Garden Wedding at Elysian LA

Inspired by a classic French picnic, Stephanie and Ted’s Elysian LA wedding married chic style with the warmth of gathering friends and family together over good food and music. Their sophisticated black and white decor designed by Button Events was accented brilliantly with touches of bright pink, soft aqua, and dazzling gold. We definitely can’t talk about our love for this wedding without mentioning Stephanie’s custom gown from The Rio Collection — how precious is that bow!

The Inspiration:

It would be a very simple yet classic French picnic. I wanted to do something simple but chic and warming, minimizing the simplicity of the beautiful venue and peppering in my style with touches of bright pink, local florals and many DIYs projects. Such as printing 130 menus on individual bread sleeves, purchasing napkins from Muji and wrapping each one with a printed holder to a photo wall covered with over 100 handmade tissue papers for the backdrop.

The Moments:

My favorite moment was when we were at the alter, we were so nervous, but I had the chance to look around at the guest and then at Ted, and realized how incredibly blessed we were to have so many amazing family members and friends from around the world gather at this one single place for ‘us’. How special and lucky and loved we felt.
