Modern Elegant Wedding at the Lourensford Wine Estate

Creative couple Tamalin and Jude envisioned an elegant wedding that exhibited modern elements to create a celebration unlike any other. The navy, burgundy, berry, and gold wedding decor designed by Wedding Concepts paired beautifully with a voluminous bridal bouquet and matching reception table garlands by Fleur le Cordeur. Lourensford Wine Estate set a romantic scene for the newlyweds to explore in their first moments alone together before joining guests inside for their glamorous reception.

The Inspiration:

Jude and I are constantly inspired by the things around us. Essentially we wanted something quite different but every bit as spectacular, after that it was the wonderful suppliers we worked with that we drew inspiration from.

With regards to wedding day fashion, it was all left in my sister’s capable hands as she decided on colours, style etc.

The Moments:

I tried so hard to embrace every moment and there are so many that make my heart sing, there is not just one moment, every moment was my favourite.

Jude and I were spoilt for choice! I couldn’t just chose one, we were so lucky with all the individuals who walked down the aisle with us — but it wouldn’t have been possible without the year long assistance of Megan from Wedding Concepts, our wedding planner. Heike from Fleur Le Cordeur is the most magical person I have ever met and insanely talented! As is the wonderful Vesselina who made my dress. I would recommend the work of every professional who was involved in our wedding.

Ivy and Floral Wedding Inspiration at Hycroft Manor

Green ivy, pastel pink ribbon, and champagne tulle were just a few of the elegant details that characterized this romantic styled photo shoot at Hycroft Manor. A team of Vancouver’s wedding professionals came together to create a scene perfect for any couple with an affinity for vintage style, soft botanical elements, and lovely little touches that make a celebration their own.

Here’s what photographer Laura Sponaugle had to say about the inspiration behind the beautiful shoot:

Hycroft Manor is one of the top wedding venues in Vancouver and holds a special place in my heart. It’s no wonder Vasia and Therese of Boheme Workshop chose this incredible location to work their magic. Walking up to the beautiful Edwardian property, you are struck by its grandeur and immediately become swept up in the fantastic romance of decades past. A perfect venue for a couple who value old school élan, Hycroft Manor epitomizes early 20th century class combined with the vibrancy of les temps modernes.

With the floral creativity of Celesia Florist, Christine Williams’ breathtaking calligraphy, and the gorgeous decor from Cross Designs and Taffete Designs, this was truly the work of Vancouver’s finest, who brought together pieces of the past to create a bold statement of luxury. Vasia and Therese set the ceremony on the view terrace: elegant drapery adorned a gorgeous chuppah that was outlined with vines to create a perfect visual balance. Blending ceremony with the natural environment, the chairs were decorated with the ivy that covers the venue in the warmer summer months. Ivy was incorporated into the center pieces on the table as well, accompanying the sumptuous arrangement made of white peonies, peach and lavender roses. For the bride with the faraway look in her eyes, Hycroft Manor and its immaculate grounds provide the fantasy and romance that every couple deserves on their most important day.
