Anna and Davis’ intimate wedding at Nitaures Dzirnavas will give you some serious heart eyes. From Anna’s delicate and whimsical Katya Shehurina wedding dress to a stunningly styled ceremony and reception thanks to Ieva Koha-Zeltina, there’s a whole lot to love! Alise Kinasta designed all of the invitations and stationary for the special occasion, and even made sure to use a dog sticker to include Anna and Davis’ pup, Rocky. As if that wasn’t perfect enough, Baiba Prindule-Rence of Feja designed some seriously gorgeous florals for Anna’s bridal bouquet and various decor pieces. Get ready to see all of this and more thanks to Miks Sels Photography for capturing Anna and Davis’ lovely wedding day.

I wanted a dress that is special, a little bit of boho. I loved my wedding shoes as they were so comfortable and a little bit of edgy.

As most men, my husband is not a fan of posing, photoshoots etc. However, Miks made it so free and easy. It was more like going for a walk and he was capturing moments. When we were finished with out private shoot time, we both were – that’s it?!
My favorite photo is my husband holding me, with my eyes closed against green leafy wall. It just radiates tranquility and peace that relationship brings in your life.
The most memorable definitely was the ceremony. We did our own personal vows so it was a very emotional moment for everyone. We both are quite private so it was a special moment to see my husband open up about his feelings.
If you have a planner/decorator, trust their vision and make sure that you are happy with the decisions you’re making – at the end of the day it’s your wedding and you have to be the one who loves it the most.
Our invitation designer asked if we have a hobby or a special activity that describes us. And we came up with our dog – Rocky. That ended up the best decision, our decorators included little stickers of him in various places and it was such a unique touch that every guest loved!
It was important to keep a good balance of emotional and fun. We didn’t want a too serious wedding so the ceremony and guest speeches were the emotional part. But then we had a cigar bar, a live music group and DJ to keep the party going after those emotional moments.
Our colors were burgundy, green, and grey. My husband wanted burgundy and the other colors evolved around it. We wanted to stay away from the typical combination of burgundy and peach to make it more personal.
