Wedding Tablescape Ideas from Luxe Event Productions

November 21, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

Tablescapes are one of the best ways to carry out your wedding theme, both in person and in your wedding photographs. Wedding designer Misty Damico of Luxe Event Productions has showcased five different wedding styles through beautifully designed tablescape ideas.

Earthy Tablescape Idea – Pacific NW inspired, this all natural tablescape idea can be styled for a wedding indoor or outdoor and for any time of the year. We wanted something versatile and that felt very organic. We used natural birch, moss, river rocks and common pine cones clustered together among little succulents -all very cost effective elements for any budget.

Citrus Tablescabe Idea Perfect for the flowerless summer wedding, our tangerine inspired table concept was styled to show how you don’t have to use a lot of floral to get a complete look. Rather you can use floral elements and a centerpiece full of vibrant fruit. We suggest alternating tables, some with floral some with a floral alternative. For this inspiration, less was more!

Rustic Beach Tablescape Idea Coastal and inspired by southern California ocean front resorts. To bring the inspiration to life we used beach wood and a capiz charger as our inspiration. The tablescape was styled in layers, by using air plants and just a few sea shells. Finishing the look with white orchids added the upscale refinement you often enjoy when staying in a water front resort.

Backyard Wedding Tablescape Idea This table set has such a happy and all American “down home” feeling. Inspired by late summer BBQ-ing, we wanted to create something different, something that while casual in setting also felt put together and had an American Summer vibe. So we used boxwood -which you find in most American home landscapes as well as late summer blooming sun flowers. A little gingham and you’ve got yourself a sophisticated down home inspiration.

Romantic Tablescape Idea – Romantic and soft, gentle even. We styled this wedding tablescape idea with the interpretation to feel polished and romantic. Reminiscent of early summer, with Clematis, white orchid and Juliet roses nestled in vintage mercury glass encouraged a very graceful impression.

Wedding Inspiration – 5 Tablescape Styles You’ll Love

August 20, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

1. Earthy Elegance

natural luxury

(Photo by Chowen Photography from Brenna and Andrew’s rustic mountain wedding)

Earthy elegance merges the hues of the natural world with just the right dose of ornate. Ferns, grasses, and other lush greens alongside deep reds, golden hues, and hard woods create modest, humble beauty. We are loving the simplicity behind Dorothy and Mac’s reception tables photographed by  Bradford Martens (featured below).

2. Simple Sophistication

understated elegance

(Photo by  L Hewitt Photography from Lea and Matt’s garden wedding)

Fresh and oh-so-chic, simple sophistication is the embodiment of  “less is more”. Perfect for a timeless wedding, clean lines and brilliant whites allow the beauty of floral centerpieces and elegant candlesticks to shine. The tablescape below from Alix and Matt’s wedding is so refreshing and was captured by Marianne Taylor Photography.

3. Vintage Romance

vintage flair

(Photo by Duke Photography from Cora and Deron’s blush and gold wedding)

With intricate lace, soft pastels, and old-fashioned details, vintage romance combines beauty with charm. Small antiques and family heirlooms offer sentiment and style. We love how Evita and Alex utilized books into their destination wedding table decor, as seen in the photograph below by  Elizabeth Lloyd. What’s a better way to personalize your own love story than to incorporate details that are meaningful to you?

4. Modern Luxe

With dramatic dark tones, geometric shapes, and metallic accents, modern luxe offers an industrial, yet romantic appeal. The bold black and white stripes of Meghan and Aaron’s wedding, as seen in the photo below by APictureLife Photography, in contrast with the shining gold centerpieces result in a stylish success.

5. Feminine Grandeur

feminine sparkle

(Photo by Kristen Weaver Photography from Brook and Sherwin’s glamorous wedding)

Feminine grandeur is a celebration of all things delicate and sparkling with sequins tablecloths, tulle, crystals, and more. The blush tones and beautiful flowers of Saba and Ali’s wedding  tablescape in the photo below by Jinda Photography  are reminiscent of royalty.

Junebug’s Favorite Wedding Ideas – Black Tableware Wedding Decor Ideas for Fall or Winter Wedding!

July 15, 2011 | editorial team

Well it’s sunny outside today, but I love looking back to this fall post featuring the sophisticated yet edgy look of black tableware! Originally featured on October 8, 2008, these clever wedding decor ideas are absolutely timeless…

In honor of autumn and the raindrops that are falling on the orange and yellow leaves outside my window as I write this, I’m whole heartedly embracing all that’s rich and dark and cozy. I bought fabulous new boots, I turned on my heater, and I’m fascinated by the creative possibilities of incorporating black tableware into a wedding. And this morning, just as I was thinking about how to make the most of this look, I came across this unbelievably beautiful photo collection from photographer Colin Cooke and stylist Paul Lowe on Paul’s blog Sweet Paul (via Snippet and Ink, thanks Kathryn!) and it made me absolutely swoon. Could this meal look any more delectable and luxurious?

The dishes in Paul and Colin’s photos have an organic, rustic look, but I also love these vintage inspired pieces that are popping up all over; sleek, shiny and feminine with a touch of mystery and romance. Rosanna has a Rococo Noir collection that features 9 inch, 10 1/2 inch and 12 inch cake stands, Dauphine candlesticks, and darling sugar and creamer set. (In Seattle they’re available to rent through Junebug member Totally Tabletops!) For a slightly more modern look, these midnight black balloon glasses, wine glasses, champagne flutes, highball glasses and double old fashioned glasses, and this Waechtersbach Petal dinnerware place setting would be the perfect addition to a fall or winter wedding feast. What do you think? Would you use black tableware for a fall or winter wedding?

Charitable Wedding Registries and Favors

June 16, 2011 | editorial team

With all the struggle and hardship that occurs in the world, we’re reminded every day how lucky we are to live the fortunate lives we do, and to work within an industry that’s all about promoting love, passion and joy. Recently we started a “Giving Back” page on Junebug to highlight a few of the charitable organizations and movements we believe in, and today I wanted to focus on some of the great charitable giving options you have surrounding your wedding day! If you’re not interested in a traditional bridal registry (you already have all the home goods and linens you need) or if you want to give wedding favors to your guests that are really close to your heart, check out these fantastic groups that allow you to give to worthwhile causes around the globe…

Charitable wedding registries and gifts from Rescue Train's The Gift of Love

The Gift of Love is an organization that accepts donations to give a gift of life to both dogs and cats who are facing euthanasia in shelters. Proceeds from this site support The Rescue Train which is a unique, 501(c)(3) non- profit, no-kill organization dedicated to eliminating animal suffering and euthanasia through hands-on rescue work, education and awareness. You can set up a registry and after donations are given special thank you cards can be delivered to guests, or you can work with a graphic designer to make your own custom wedding favors to give out on your wedding day.

charitable wedding registries from Changing the Present

Changing the Present is a website for charitable giving of all kinds, where donors can choose from over 1500 nonprofits to support. You can make donations as thank you gifts or wedding favors, or you can set up an online gift registry to request alternative wedding gifts from your guests. Definitely a meaningful present that will never get old!

Charitable wedding registries and gifts from the I Do Foundation

The I Do Foundation has been a leader in alternative and charitable wedding registries for years now, and their extensive website offers lots of options for couples and guests. Register on their site, choose your favorite charity to team up with and find all kinds of ways to help raise money for a good cause with your wedding!

Charitable wedding registries and gifts from Heifer.org

Finally, Heifer International is an organization that is dedication to helping those around the world succeed at ending hunger and poverty. Whether set up as a registry or a wedding favor, animals are donated to villages in need, with the goal of helping families become self-reliant and continue the cycle of giving. What an awesome way to begin your new life by helping another family thrive in theirs!

Are you going to do any charitable giving for your wedding? Let us know about the organizations that you think are making a difference!

Yellow and White Spring Tabletop Designs from Woodmark Weddings

April 20, 2011 | editorial team

yellow and white wedding table top design from Woodmark Weddings and Fena Flowers, images by Junebug Weddings

A few weeks ago, the Junebug team was lucky enough to be invited to The Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club and Spa on the waterfront in Kirkland, WA for a celebration of their extensive wedding program, Woodmark Weddings. As we enjoyed an overnight stay, dinner and spa treatments (yes, we were pampered beyond belief!) we were so impressed by the hotel’s super friendly staff and their wonderful wedding offerings. We’ve been proud to promote The Woodmark Hotel for many years now as a member of our Plan Your Wedding Hotlist in Seattle, so getting to enjoy this amazing venue as guests was a luxurious experience indeed!

At the gorgeous cocktail hour reception we couldn’t resist snapping some photos of the beautiful spring table top designs on display for us – each table followed the same yellow and white color story but was totally unique in its design. It was such a fun chance to see how many different ways a table’s decor could be interpreted, even within the same aesthetic and feel. The next day these tables were used for catering tastings for Woodmark Weddings couples who will be tying the knot there in the coming year. What a treat! Each couple also goes home with a fabulous canvas tote bag from Hable Construction and a detailed planning binder for keeping track of all their wedding details along the way.

Enjoy all these fun spring table decor designs, and learn about all the local Seattle wedding professionals involved at the bottom of the post.
