Romantic is an Understatement When Describing This Pittsburgh Wedding at the Mansions on Fifth

February 15, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

With a warm, moody aesthetic and tons of old-world charm, Mansions on Fifth was an unbelievably beautiful setting for Liv and Eric’s romantic wedding day! The planning team of Bumble Burgh used an autumnal color palette, elegant vintage-y florals designed by The Farmer’s Daughter Flowers, and vintage lounge furniture to create a sophisticated ambiance. Then Liv upped the elegance with an intricate, modern long-sleeved gown from Divine Atelier and classic accessories. From the couple’s “blind first look” to their sweet portraits through the streets of Pittsburgh, Rachel Rowland Photography captured every moment of this wedding perfectly!

The Couple:

Liv and Eric

The Wedding:

Mansions on Fifth, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

I loved everything about my dress! I wanted to feel completely myself on our wedding day. I knew I wanted a dress that had sleeves but that was also modern and went with the moody vibe of the day. The one I found was everything I could have dreamed of! My accessories — a very simple, long veil and chunky shoes I would normally wear — also complemented the dress so well.

Our blind meet up was definitely the most memorable part of the day! We knew we did not want to see each other before walking down the aisle, so our amazing planners and photographer found the perfect spot for us to meet and read our vows without seeing each other.

To personalize our ceremony, we asked a bridesmaid’s uncle, whom we knew well, to marry us and made sure to add readings that we felt resonated with us. We also had Eric’s godmother and my grandma read during the ceremony.

Recessional – “Truly, Madly, Deeply” by Yoke Lore (instrumental)
First Dance – “Hold My Gift” by George Ezra

For our favors, we had beautiful navy boxes ordered and we put our wax seal on them for guests to take some sweets home from the dessert table.
