House of Catherine and Sara Rea Designs outdid themselves with this stunning, floral-filled Philadelphia wedding inspiration photographed by MLE Pictures! Set in the industrial Moulin warehouse, they and Fresh Designs Florist created a floor-to-ceiling floral installation for the ceremony and an enchanting forest-inspired reception tablescape complete with mini trees, wildflowers, fruit, and flower petals. After trays of appetizers that looked almost too good to eat catered by Brulée Catering, the day ended with a triple layer nearly-naked cake adorned with muted flowers and rose-gold leaf from Crust Vegan Bakery. The talented team kept the bride’s look classic with a flowing, crochet wedding gown from Lovely Bride and brought in a modern twist with the groom’s dark gray suit and black-on-black shirt and tie. Every detail was perfectly curated for a modern-meets-botanical feel that would look stunning in any floral-forward wedding design!

This Boschendal Estate Wedding in South Africa is a Floral Wonderland

We’ve seen some floral masterpieces in our time, and the array of centerpieces and installations Okasie created for Lisa and Jozef’s South African wedding at Boschendal Estate ranks very high on our list of favorites! Because the venue is set in one of the most biodiverse plant kingdoms on Earth, the couple wanted flowers to be the focus of the decor — and everything else fell into place around them. They had vibrant hi-low table arrangments, a wide assortment of greenery, a stunning floral chandelier, and even a green and white floral hoop as a backdrop for their ceremony inside the Moederkerk church. Their inspiration was timeless yet unforgettable, which they pulled off with elegant styling by Bride Sidekick and sophisticated attire from Demetrios and Eurosuit. We’re totally in love with the black tie look and secret garden feel of this South African wedding, and we can’t get over all the incredible images photographer Jenni Elizabeth from this special day!

Moederkerk and Boschendal Estate, Franschhoek, South Africa

Boschendal Estate is located in the smallest but most biodiverse plant kingdom on the planet, which makes it a World Heritage site. In 1715, the first governor of the Cape Colony sold Boschendal to my great, great, great, great grandfather and it remained in the family for 164 years. The sentimental value is beyond measure, and there would not have been a more suited venue for our wedding anywhere else in the world.

Everything was planned around the flowers! We tied the knot early in spring, showcasing beautiful blossom-clad branches in the arrangements. We also installed a massive floral ring umbrella under which the guests danced the night away.
