Lindsay and Baxter travelled from California to Lisbon for their countryside elopement at Casas Caiadas in Alentejo — and it’s everything sweet, sentimental elopement dreams are made of. Is there a better way to celebrate love? MUZA Weddings helped the couple find a venue that balanced the crazy Lisbon life with the quietness of Alentejo. We’re obsessed! We knew we wanted to elope. We both had never been to Europe and liked the idea of doing it there. We wanted something unique, that felt like us. In our research, asking around, talking with friends, Portugal, Lisbon specifically continued to come up. Shortly after looking into Portugal, we knew that was our spot. It just felt right.
Lindsay started to research Lisbon elopements on Pinterest and that lead us to MUZA Wedding Planning Studio based in Portugal. Once we found MUZA, everything fell into place. MUZA provided us with a list of wedding location options. We narrowed the options to our top three. We ended up picking Casas Caiadas – Watermills of the Alentejo. We loved the idea of having a rural country side ceremony.
Working with Hugo could not have been any better. He has a calming nature and did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable. Which was a lot to ask because we are both camera shy.
