Pink Boho Crested Butte Wedding at Cement Creek Ranch

September 5, 2020 | riley

All things pink? Sign us up! Marion and Mike’s pink boho Crested Butte wedding at Cement Creek Ranch was a fairytale dream come to life, and we’re dazzled by every second of it.

With the help of expert planner and Junebug member Lucky Penny Events and Rentals, the rustic outdoor space was decorated with pink ombre custom dyed cheesecloth, lush florals from Dahlia Floral Design, fairy lights, and custom neon signs. Marion’s nude floral Rue de Seine gown paired perfectly with the pink decor and the vibrant fields of yellow and purple flowers that served as a backdrop for the couple’s post-ceremony photos captured by Geoff Duncan Photography. Oh, and they had seven different cakes from Fig and Bloom Cakes–proving they definitely know the way to our hearts.

The Couple:

Marion and Mike

The Wedding:

Cement Creek Ranch, Crested Butte, Colorado, USA

The Wedding Look and Rue De Seine Gown

Creating my wedding look was such a fun collaboration between Natalie and me. Once I showed her my dress, we started bouncing back and forth with the whole style look for my big day. Natalie gave me the most sultry make vibes with an effortless half braid. I knew I wanted a Rue de Sein dress. When I found out Rue de Seine founder and designer Michele Corty was coming to A and Be in Denver with the new collection, I freaked out. The night before my appointment, the new collection dropped online, and I knew the Vita Gown was it. It was the perfect dress to invoke that Colorado bohemian vibe I was looking for.

Why the Cement Creek Ranch

Ciera showed us a lot of places around Crested Butte. Cement Creek Ranch was the first place we saw, and something just stayed with us. We love that is secluded in its own valley with the most amazing views of the Cement Creek and the surrounding mountains.

Pink Boho Wedding Day Vibes

The vibe at our wedding was unreal. It was an explosion of this fluffy pink bohemian vibe meets rustic Colorado River ranch. We wanted to show our guests from all over the world our favorite place–Crested Butte—why we love it so much. We wanted them to leave with the feeling that they just experienced all that Colorado has to offer.

Understated Elegance of Costa Rican Paradise

September 4, 2020 | riley

Is it obvious that we like tropical destination weddings? Naturally, we’re crushing on Klee and Thomas’ elegant Costa Rican wedding at Villa Punto de Vista. With the help of planner Susan La Reau Events, the two planned a destination wedding from the comfort of California.

Susan brought minimalistic elegance to life using a blush and white color palette, an abundance of florals and lush greenery, and romantic lighting throughout the venue. Klee’s Galia Lahav gown also helped bridge the gap between the two styles with its intricate lace and tulle overskirt.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to look through all of these lovely photos captured by Magical Flute Photo and Video and pretend we’re lounging on a beach in Costa Rica.

The Couple:

Klee and Thomas

The Wedding:

Villa Punto De Vista, Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica

Why Villa Punto de Vista

We wanted to spend quality time with our friends and family, and Villa Punto De Vista served as lodging and the venue. It was the perfect size for our 30 person wedding. The Villa is also over the top, luxurious, comes with staff, and is nestled in the middle of a jungle with a view of the ocean. It met all our needs.

Destination Wedding Advice

Planning a Costa Rican destination wedding from California was stressful. My one must-have piece of advice is to hire a wedding planner. Our wedding was above and beyond our wildest imaginations, all thanks to our wedding planner.

Vintage Boho Backyard Wedding in Tennessee

September 4, 2020 | riley

We’re suckers for DIY backyard weddings, and we’re head over heels in love with Katie and Seth’s vintage boho backyard wedding in Jackson, Tennessee. Although the two had initially planned on a destination wedding, Katie quickly realized that her ultimate goal was to make their special day feel like home. What better way to do that than to host your wedding at your childhood home?

The bold burgundy, blue, and white bouquets created by J Kent Freeman contrasted perfectly with the neutral Show Me Your Mumu bridesmaids dresses. And we can’t get enough of the DIY “love your face” neon sign and the bride’s Mrs. Jones custom denim jacket. All of these personalized touches just go to show that even the smallest details can make a wedding speak to who you are as a couple. So get ready Junebabes, these photos captured by Cody and Allison Photo are totally pinnable!

The Couple:

Katie and Seth

The Wedding:

Hamilton Residence, Jackson, TN

The Calla Blanche Gown

My whole inspiration for the wedding day look was a bohemian/hippie feel and look. Easily my favorite part of my dress was the unique lace, the ruffled lace on my V neckline, and a little bit of bell sleeve. But I also loved the bone-colored lining underneath the dress. I wore my mother’s diamond necklace that my dad gave her and my grandmother’s gold ring. I also loved my earrings and hairpiece that had touches of rose gold and white flowers. The rose gold tied in with my wedding ring and band. It’s hard to choose one favorite.

Why a Boho Backyard Wedding

When it came to picking a venue, we were first looking at a destination wedding but I kept coming back to the idea of home. I had grown up on my parent’s farm and it’s one of my favorite places—my husband loves it too. That’s when I knew that we had to have it at their house and in the fall—my favorite season.

The Bride’s Most Memorable Moment

A very special moment was having my dad walk me down the aisle. The year I was born, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. One of the questions he asked his doctor then was, “Will I be able to walk my daughter down the aisle?” Thirty years later, there he was, walking me down the aisle in the same place that we played and made memories growing up.

Supporting Local Vendors

We had our local coffee shop come out to host a coffee bar. It was important to me to incorporate as many people and vendors as we could from our town. Our’s is a smaller town with a tight-knit community that means so much to us. Rather than giving out favors, we had customized cups at the coffee bar with our wedding logo for guests to take home.

Wedding DIY Projects

My dad custom made a 14ft table as the food table and made our altar out of cedarwood. I created our “welcome” sign stand from copper PVC pipe. I also created a 5x6ft circle ring out of plastic PVC that I spray painted gold. It was lined with flowers on one side and had a neon sign hanging from it that said, “Love Your Face.” We used it as a photo-op area at the reception. We also refurbished one of my parent’s old dressers to hold our mini pies.
