Ballet Inspired Wedding Editorial Photo Shoot at Gosford Castle

August 29, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

Constantly inspired by movement and light, wedding designer Alise Taggart and photographer Paula O’Hara came together to create this beautiful ballet inspired wedding editorial shoot. Much like a bride on her wedding day, a dancer is graceful and elegant, and so came about the inspiration for their collaboration. Perfectly described by Alise as “hauntingly beautiful,” we simply couldn’t resist sharing their gorgeous shoot with you!

Here are few words from Alise Taggart on the inspiration for the shoot: This editorial shoot was all about movement and light. We wanted to create something that was a bit different and would make your heart skip a beat. The crumbling interior of Gosford Castle provided us the perfect setting for this hauntingly beautiful shoot. Ballet is so dreamy and moving, similar to a bride on her wedding day. The soft pastels and satin ribbon contrasted the incredibly intricate gowns provided to us by Trash Couture and Maria Lluisa Rabell.

Coral, Navy and Gold Color Palette Inspiration

August 29, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

When transitioning to fall, choosing a coral, navy and gold color palette is the perfect way to include a striking summer hue, alongside the glamour and sophistication of navy and gold. The terrific trio of colors can reflect anything from a vintage to modern nautical theme for your wedding.

Sophisticated Desi Wedding in Dallas, Texas

August 29, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

traditional Indian wedding couple's portrait

Saba and Sayed’s sophisticated Desi wedding combined vibrant, rich Pakistani and Bangladesh tradition with American elegance, and Belo Mansion was a perfect venue for the wedding’s grand decor and lighting. Shaun Menary photographed the wedding’s gorgeous details exquisitely. You’re going to love the colors, emotions, and gorgeous portraiture of this wedding.

The Couple: Saba and Sayed

The Wedding: Belo Mansion, Dallas, TX

The Inspiration: We wanted to honor our South Asian heritage, but remain true to the modern culture we have come to embrace. We envisioned a wedding that would seamlessly blend the extravagance, flashiness, and overwhelming fun of South Asian weddings with the sophistication, classiness, and efficiency of American weddings.
