We love an engagement session that appeals to our sense of adventure. When Meaghan and Patrick told photographer Michael Carr of The Carrs Photography that they wanted a Colorado engagement shoot, he planned an epic day for the fun couple. We’re obsessed with the portraits of Meaghan and Patrick in the canoe, which showcase both their sweet tender moments together and the vast beauty of Lake Dillon. The Carrs did a stunning job, as always, of capturing the quiet moments the couple will cherish forever.

An opulent affair can appear impersonal if the decor upstages the wedding itself, but Nadia and Saheel’s personalities shined through so brilliantly during their decadent Dubai wedding. This pair is an absolutely stunning couple, and Paul Santos Photography captured the beauty of their love within all of the glamorous details designed by The Events Mania. The Palm Jumeirah set the stage for the lavish event, and the sweet pink color palette set the tone for a romantic celebration.
The Inspiration: “The inspiration for our wedding was a modern French theme. Our wedding venue had white walls, high ceilings, gorgeous chandeliers, and dark wooden floors. I was quite specific about what I wanted, and searched for quite a while until I found it. I wanted our decor to have a romantic feel with soft colours and and endless candles. I told our decorator to fill the room with candles.
I wore a simple white lace dress, which I had altered as I wanted it to be quite figure hugging. I also wanted to place emphasis on my trail. As it was a daytime wedding, I didn’t want anything over the top. My bridesmaids wore nude/soft pink dresses, which complimented the colour theme for the day. Each bridesmaid wore a different ‘style’ dress which I chose to compliment their style.”
The Moments: “My favourite moment of the day was when I walked down the aisle for our ring ceremony and saw Saheel. I was extremely nervous prior to walking in, and had butterflies. As soon as I saw him, I felt calm and relaxed. It felt really special knowing that at this moment, two people and two families were uniting as one.”
The Couple Recommends: “Out of all the vendors that we used, our wedding photographer definitely stood out from the crowd and delivered exactly what he said he would. I had a vision in mind to how I wanted our photographs to be captured. Paul Santos is from the UK, and we asked him to make a special trip to capture our wedding. I had confidence in his work, but when I saw our photos it was very emotional. He over delivered, and went out of his way to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. There were no hiccups and it was all smooth sailing. With all the stress of planning a wedding, he definitely made our day easier with his easygoing, friendly vibe.
Also, my jewellery designer, Margaret Perego. She designed and created my dream ring set just through a basic description, as this was a surprise. She asked Saheel what I was like as a person, what I liked and disliked. From there she created a ring that she knew I would adore. Wow!”
