April 2, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Chic-Modern-Wedding-Arsenal-Montreal-Phototerra (7 of 25)

The contemporary venue and chic wedding fashion choices took Vanessa and Ziad’s ballroom wedding at Arsenal Montreal from traditional to modern. Vanessa’s glamorous Jenny Packham gown set the stage for an elevated wedding with lavish details, all of which was creatively captured by Phototerra.

The Couple:

Vanessa and Ziad

The Wedding:

Arsenal Montreal, Montreal, Quebec

The Inspiration:

Industrial-chic. Our venue really captured the essence of what we envisioned to be our big day. An extravagant yet minimalistic modern affair. L’Arsenal’s industrial canvas boasting incredible ceiling heights and contemporary art was the perfect home for our crystal chandelier inspired theme.

Coral and Sage Wedding at the Babington House

April 1, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Coral-Sage-Wedding-Babington-House-Ann-Kathrin-Koch (21 of 29)

We love when a couple has a unique approach to planning their wedding, and in the case of Emma and Mike, their planning logic made us love their charming English wedding even more! The couple took to designing their wedding as if they were choosing elements for their home. This method ensures that they ended up with pieces they truly loved and felt comfortable surrounded by on their big day. Ann-Kathrin Koch Photography captured the effortlessness and excitement of the day, and we can’t get enough of sweet Emma’s adorable expressions during the ceremony!

The Couple:

Emma and Mike

The Wedding:

Babington House, Somerset, England

The Inspiration:

We weren’t set on a particular theme, but we knew the colours we wanted to use as they’re our favourites anyway, and I wanted to just find nice things to use as if we were decorating our home. When we visited Babington House we knew it was the right spot… the only venue we visited actually… and the rest went from there.

The Moments:

It has to be walking into the reception… everyone’s faces smiling, and the obligatory groom nearly tripping on the bride’s dress. That and singing (read: screaming) Take That’s Never Forget in the middle of all our friends and family as the last dance.

The Couple Recommends:

I can’t explain how wonderful of all the professionals we worked with were, they were incredible through and through, and I can’t recommend them enough. If ever I have the opportunity I’d work with them again in a heartbeat.

1920s Wedding Film at Newton Hall

April 1, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

1920s-Wedding-Film-Newton-Hall-The-Twins (8 of 12)

Inspired by The Great Gastby and Newton Hall, Jessica and Henry’s 1920s wedding was an utterly romantic celebration in Northern England. We love being able to share the exceptional work of professionals working together to capture a wedding, and we’re lucky to be able to share Jessica and Henry’s wedding film by Mischa + James alongside breathtaking images by The Twins.

The Couple:

Jessica and Henry

The Wedding:

Newton Hall, Northumberland, England

The Inspiration:

I absolutely love the 1920s theme/Great Gatsby vibe and we thought this would fit the venue perfectly. We had gold gilt edged wedding stationary, incredible bridesmaid dresses and lots of decanters and cut glass on the tables. We decided to have sequin chair caps and table runners as well which fit in well with the theme.

The Moments:

Our favourite moment from the wedding was when we went with our photographers/videographers to the beach and the corn field for the photos. It was a chance to spend time together just the two of us and the setting was beautiful. The sun was setting and I remember just laughing and smiling and the photos and video really capture how happy we were in that moment.

The Couple Recommends:

Both our photographers and videographers stood out from the crowd. Of course the memories of the wedding day will last forever but it is so special to have incredible photographs and film to look back at for many years to come. We already get so much enjoyment from them and they help you to remember the little bits of the day that can go unnoticed when you are so busy.
