Minimalist Wedding at Morskie Oko

May 6, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Minimalist-Wedding-Morskie-Oko-Lmfoto (25 of 32)

Gosia and Grzegorz’s forest elopement proves that there’s nothing boring about a minimalist wedding. Morskie Oko, which translates to “Eye of the Sea,” is a miraculous spot in Poland’s Tatra National Park as well as the location of Gosia and Grzegorz’s intimate ceremony. The bride wore a custom gown in the most beautiful silver-gray tone, which photographer Lmfoto.pl exquisitely captured as the newlyweds hiked through the mountainside.

The Couple:

Gosia and Grzegorz

The Wedding:

Morskie Oko, Tatra National Park, Poland

The Inspiration:

We have always been close to the nature, so definitely it was our biggest inspiration. We wanted to match colors of our clothes to the surrounding and keep it in that forest feel and composition.

Gosia’s dress was sewn by a friend from Art School studies, which they attend together so their cooperation worked smoothly. I always felt best in casual outfit so after several searches, Marc O’Polo shop gave me results I liked the most. We also like minimalism and wanted to keep it in minimal way.

The Moments:

Of course we loved the whole day! Our first favorite moment was when we arrived by a chaise with horses to the top of the mountains, we had to walk few hundred meters to the lake and when we approached, rain stopped for the whole duration of the ceremony and photo session! It was a blessing and a hint of adventure from God for us to make this day more exciting. Gosia was a little frightened about the weather but in a positive way — she is a hard girl.  And I didn’t care because I knew that weather will not prevent us from marriage. The second moment was when we were taking photos and behind us, a deer showed up and was quite close to us! It was a great moment of wildness and touch of the nature.

The Couple Recommends:

Our photographer Szymon Nykiel, he did a great job and he is a great person.

Rustic Mexican Wedding at Hacienda San Gabriel

May 5, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Rustic-Mexican-Wedding-Hacienda-San-Gabriel-Fer-Juaristi (25 of 33)

Family and faith were central themes in Karla and Mike’s rustic wedding at Hacienda San Gabriel, which resulted in a beautifully understated celebration with accents of teal and lavender. The 16th century venue was an absolute dream from the antique architecture to the romantic ceremony courtyard. Master photographer Fer Juaristi captured such extraordinary candid moments the couple shared as they united as one before their loved ones.

The Couple:

Karla and Mike

The Wedding:

Hacienda San Gabriel, Morelos, Mexico

The Inspiration:

We wanted our wedding to feel natural, relaxed and romantic, as we are. We chose a Mexican hacienda built in the 1500s with a very rustic and fresh style. We wanted to feel surrounded by nature and in a very calm environment. Our goal was to make everyone feel relaxed and we worked a lot in personalized details starting from our invitations that where made by hand. We are both creative so we added several touches of art, like making everyone paint a small canvas for our home. To keep the relaxed mood, we had acoustic music, lots of food, an artisanal coffee bar and we even made a “movie night” to end our wedding. Even our decorations had a relaxed and free look, with lots of creeper plants and lavender as our main flower.

The Moments:

The climax of my day was the first time I saw his face while walking down the aisle beside my dad and squeezing his arm. His eyes and smile only confirmed that everything was right exactly how it was supposed to be. The ceremony was the perfect moment for us, standing beside a big tree, surrounded by all this calmness with the presence of God and our most loved ones.

The Couple Recommends:

For us, Fer Juaristi was one of the best decisions we made at our wedding. We love how extremely sensitive he was to everything that was important for us and to capture not only the moments but the whole environment and emotions that were flowing that day. We felt all the love he was putting in everything he did and as photographers we think his creativity and vision is outstanding.

Working with Lalo Vargas Films was also amazing. We knew perfectly what to expect as we have been partners and friends with them for several years working together at weddings and watching him work from the other side. We were totally sure that we could trust him to tell our love story with his vision.

Banevents catering was out of this world. Their service, the food and every detail was better than expected. They were very flexible to work with our wedding style and made our dream dinner possible as we wanted to have a “starter & salads bar” with a varied main course that was delicious!

The music was an extremely hard topic for us as we did not want a regular band or DJ. We wanted to keep the relaxed mood and enjoy our favorite music that day with an acoustic and romantic feeling. We spent months trying to find what we wanted until we found Las Delailas. Their voices are so perfect and they made a personalized song list with all the songs that mean a lot for us. They are just amazing and it was totally worth it.

My BHLDN dress was perfect. They helped me create my own customized dress just as I had been dreaming of it. I had it in my house in less than a week.

Vintage Mexico Inspired Wedding at The Loft on Pine

May 5, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Vintage-Mexico-Inspired-Wedding-The-Loft-on-Pine-Just-Wenderful-Events (13 of 33)

Antique-style lace, terracotta pottery, and rich, romantic shades of red and pink are just a few of the elements that created a vintage Mexican motif throughout Elizabeth and Yousef’s wedding. These details were impeccably organized by the team of Just Wenderful Event Planning & Design who planned the event and Winston & Main who designed the glamorous florals. The Loft on Pine provided a deconstructed industrial backdrop with its exposed brick walls and dark wood.

The Couple:

Elizabeth and Yousef

The Wedding:

The Loft on Pine, Long Beach, California

The Inspiration:

The inspiration was vintage Mexico, lace, romance, mixed metallics, with pops of color. The decor was antique, romance (candles and lanterns throughout the venue), with minimal greens and flowers with splashes of reds, pinks and burgundy. The ladies were wearing versions of gold and were vintage glamorous! My hubby looked pretty fly himself.

The Moments:

Elizabeth: Walking down the aisle, seeing all of our friends and family encircled around us, and right in the middle, seeing my future husband’s smile, with an enthusiastic hand in the air, dancing to my song as he waited for me to meet him in the middle.

Yousef: My favorite part was when Eli was walking down the stairs and when all of the people that were walking with her sat down and she was by herself and she started dancing to her song “Linda Chicana.” She had a huge smile on her face! When Eli smiles, you don’t notice anything else.

The Couple Recommends:
