Understated and Natural Elings Park Wedding

Understated-and-Natural-Elings-Park-Wedding (7 of 36)

Gorgeous mountain views, bright yellow florals, and ivory colored bridesmaid gowns made up Ashley and Avery’s simply bright wedding at The South Bluffs in Elings Park! Event planner, and groom’s sister, Whitney Hardin ensured that the big day was absolutely perfect for the couple. We love the views and simple decor at the ceremony. And, best of all, photographer Mollie Crutcher didn’t miss a single moment capturing incredible photos of the excited couple!

The Couple:

Ashley and Avery

The Wedding:

The South Bluffs at Elings Park, Santa Barbara, California

The Inspiration:

We pulled inspiration from everywhere, I was on Pinterest constantly. We didn’t exactly choose a theme, but rather just went with what we liked. It was simple, clean, minimal. Our officiant, Braydon, was a good friend, and the only other person in the room when Ave and I met, it seemed fitting. Avery and I worked really hard, and had our hands in every step of the process. We thankfully had his sister, Whitney, a wedding planner to help along the way and had her assistant coordinate the day of. As far as fashion went, I wanted my gals in cream. I wasn’t keen on bright colored dresses, or any color for that matter, neutral is more my style. My dress was by Maggie Sottero, it was white, cream, silver and gold…not flashy, but subtle. Avery wore a grey Hugo Boss jacket to set himself apart. He really just gave his guys guidelines but let them choose. I did the same with my girls. The one thing I knew I wanted incorporated was succulents. I just love how beautiful, strong and resilient they are; a symbol of our marriage.

The Moments:

Avery: My favorite moment was when we were standing on top of a mountain, the ocean to one side of us, and all of our friends and family to the other. I was surrounded by everything I have ever loved – family, friends, my home town, and Ashley. It was a once in a lifetime moment.

Ashley: My favorite moment was at the end of the night, we took a limo home and sat on our front porch reminiscing about the entire day and how it could not have gone better. We worked really hard for that one day and it went off without a hitch.

The Couple Recommends:

Honestly, EVERY vendor we worked with was exceptional, friendly and easy to work with. We would recommend all of them!

July 4, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Backyard-Party-Wedding-on-July-4th (27 of 29)

Swapping out the traditional wedding decor for a backyard party extravaganza, complete with fun carnival games and a ferris wheel, Juan and Jamie chose to celebrate their new marriage by throwing the best carnival themed reception! The expert event planners at A Polished Plan designed an unforgettable night! Since the wedding was held on July 4th, the planners added an awesome firework show to end the night. The talented photographers at JAGstudios perfectly captured this incredible wedding!

The Couple:

Juan and Jamie

The Wedding:

Elizabeth Park Rose Garden, West Hartford, Connecticut

The Inspiration:

Our ceremony was held at my husband’s (so cool saying that!) parent’s house in Manchester, CT. Those angels let us turn their backyard into the party of our dreams, complete with flawless, rustic decor courtesy of our fantastic wedding planner and vendors plus this massive, beautiful white tent filled with all of our friends and family. Did I mention there was a ferris wheel? Yeah, there was a ferris wheel.

The Moments:

There was this moment towards the end of the night when my husband and I were riding the ferris wheel. The operators stopped when our car reached the top and we sat together, several feet above our friends and family, watching 4th of July fireworks and reflecting on what a beautiful thing we had done. Our wedding was almost secondary at that point– our love brought two very diverse families together that day and we were watching it all from what felt like the top of the world.

4th of July Wedding at The Ebell of Los Angeles

July 4, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

4th-of-July-Wedding-at-The-Ebell-of-Los-Angeles (16 of 24)

It’s Fourth of July, and we’re so excited to show you this red, white, and blue themed wedding at The Ebell of Los Angeles! Dark-blue table cloths, rich-red napkins, and lush, ivory florals created the perfect bold color combination for this fun couple. After meeting on the fourth of July a few years ago and getting engaged on the fourth of July two years after, it only seemed natural for the couple to design a Fourth of July wedding! Sterling Engagements created a beautiful design and ensured the wedding day went smoothly. Adding to the incredible team of professionals, Callaway Gable captured lovely moments of the couple on their big day!

The Couple:

Lindsay and Davin

The Wedding:

The Ebell of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California

The Inspiration:

We knew we wanted a July 4th themed wedding since the holiday has such significance in our relationship. We were living in Hollywood when we got engaged and I think that is what inspired us to find an old Hollywood type venue. Once we had booked our wedding at The Ebell of Los Angeles, that really inspired all the wedding decor and fashion. Keeping my patriotic colors in mind (red, white and blue for the 4th) I generally selected flowers, decor, and fashion with a bit of old hollywood elegance.

The Moments:

My favorite moment from the wedding was our first dance. We went to a professional choreographer as we wanted to do something completely different. We are a very fun, life of the party kind of couple so we wanted our first dance to set the tone for the reception. We danced to a mashup of Love They Say by Tegan and Sara, Love is an Open Door from Frozen, Happy by Pharrel, and We Found Love by Rihanna. It was a blast and everyone at the wedding is still talking about it!

The Couple Recommends:

Alexandra Rembac of Sterling Engagements completely took my vision and brought it to life! She is amazing and the day would have not been what it was without her. Allison and Brian of Callaway Gable captured our love through the most beautiful and original wedding pictures. Anessa from The Ebell was so much fun to work with. The Ebell was an amazing venue to work with!
