Intimate Downtown Raleigh Wedding at The Stockroom at 230

Not wanting an overly formal event, Ioana and Jonathan filled their downtown Raleigh wedding with personal touches and focused each moment on celebrating their love. The couple decided to get dressed together, making for some incredibly sweet portraits by All Bliss Photography who really captured the excitement of the day. Ioana’s custom two-piece gown fit her like a dream and allowed her to move, dance, and explore downtown with Jonathan on their wedding day.

Jonathan and I getting ready together that day was amazing. Being with one another was reassuring and less stressful. We planned everything together, so we couldn’t imagine not getting ready together. It was the only time we had to ourselves on the wedding day / weekend.

We didn’t want our wedding to feel like a formal event. We wanted to have a party in a warm and inviting atmosphere with great food and dancing that our guests would enjoy. We kept things casual by having a family-style dinner. Both our ceremony and reception were held in historical venues in downtown Raleigh. We didn’t see a need to overly decorate or overdo a certain trend or theme. Hopefully when we look back at the photos years from now, it will still feel classic, sophisticated, and timeless.

My dress was simple and non-traditional. I had it altered to add a crop top over it so that it became a two-piece. I knew that an ornate or embellished look would not be me and I wouldn’t feel comfortable in it. Later in the evening I changed into an ivory top and tulle skirt so I could dance the night away.

Sweet Autumn Engagement Session at Gellatly Nut Farm

It may have been a chilly day at Gellatly Nut Farm, but Kai and Spencer’s autumn engagement is guaranteed to melt your heart. Joelsview Photography captured the cute couple embracing under a flannel blanket among the rows of yellow and orange trees. The resulting images are cozy, vibrant, and full of pure love.

From the photographer: Kai and Spencer’s engagement session at Gellatly Nut Farm in West Kelowna was one of those photo shoots that had me happy-hearted from start to finish. To simply be around a love this true and strong is amazing, not to mention being able to capture it all. I knew I wanted to have this set scream autumn, and I don’t think there is any better place for it than the tree nut farm in West Kelowna. I swear, if you had an aerial view it’d be one giant circle bursting with oranges and yellows. We spent the afternoon chasing the soft light through the trees. Honestly, the sight of these two surrounded by the warm leaves was nothing short of lovely. True love is one stellar thing when it makes its way into your life, and I couldn’t be happier that these two found just that together.

Emotional Texas Wedding at Harmony Chapel

Get your tissues ready, because Katie and Colin’s emotional Texas wedding is bound to bring a tear or two to your eyes. The entire day was personal and heartfelt as the couple were surrounded by their supportive, loving community of friends and family. Lauren Apel Photography captured every electrifying moment, from the quiet prayers before heading to Harmony Chapel to Katie and Colin’s teary first look as the bride came down the aisle. We love that each reception table was adorned with a vase of dried flowers that Colin had given Katie throughout their relationship; the personal touches don’t get better than this!

When the doors finally opened for me to walk down and I saw Colin for the first time, everything was perfect and in that moment all my dreams were coming true. All the years of waiting for him were for this moment. I’ve never been so present in one moment. All I could see was him, not any decorations or any guest. I didn’t take my eyes off him once.

The inspiration for our wedding decor theme was really personal. We wanted it to be simple, cost efficient, and most importantly personal. So I have saved all of the flowers he’s given me over the years and dried them so those were the center pieces for our tables! And they were wonderful. We had lots of candles and lights because we love both. We had coffee beans because we both love coffee and always drink it together! I let my bridesmaids choose their own dresses because I wanted them to feel comfortable and we liked golden accents because we wanted to look a little vintage.
