Pumpkin-Filled Fall Wedding at Moss Mountain Farm

We’re deep into the gloriously golden days of autumn, and this Arkansas wedding at Moss Mountain Farm just made all of our wildest pumpkin fantasies come true. Sara and Casey chose the classic rich tones of autumn, which added an elegant air to this rustic farm venue. Wanting to incorporate their love all things fall, their venue created the most eye-catching pumpkin sculpture we’ve ever seen! For an extra pop of elegance, the bride wore a modestly plunging lace Catherine Deane gown and simple updo. Cody and Allison Photography did a beautiful job of capturing the rustic elegance of this gorgeous autumn wedding.

We had live music played for our processional for the ceremony! The wedding party walked in to “Can you feel the love tonight,” from The Lion King. I walked down the aisle to “Collide,” by Howie Day.

Our wedding vibe pretty much came from my CRAZY love of fall! I am one of those girls that counts down to October so I can start putting pumpkins out! So, it was a no brainer that we wanted pumpkins and all the glorious deep rich fall colors to play a big part!

Our first dance song was a recording from the movie Tangled, “Now I See the Light”! We’re a Disney couple!

Wildly Elegant Ottawa Wedding at Château Laurier

Gatsby glam gets a modern makeover in this chic Ottawa wedding at the historic Château Laurier. Nancy and Christopher’s vision for their day was to combine the Gatsby style with a woodland vibe. They turned on the romance with a primarily gold, black, and ivory palette, accented with jewel-toned wildflowers galore. The bride looked flawless in a classic lace gown by Rita Vinieris, effortless waves, and vintage Dannijo chandelier earrings that would have made Daisy Buchanan stop in her tracks! Staying true to the grandeur of Gatsby style, Nancy and Christopher made a memorable entrance into their reception by riding a motor scooter straight onto the dance floor. Our wedding vibe was Gatsby meets the modern day, with bright wildflowers and anything gold.

I was stuck on this quote, “You keep me safe…I’ll keep you wild,” which my wedding planner magically turned into the incredible backdrop for our stage.

Our favors were gold animal magnets that were used to hold up each place card on the tables. We are off to Africa in February to climb Kilimanjaro and go on Safari, so it was a perfect way to tie it in.

The most memorable part – aside from when we said “I DO” – would have to be the confetti cannon(s). We were all still reminiscing about the “big day” a week later while we pulled bits of glitter from our hair.

Instead of a cake, we had a late-night Tim Hortons Station! Christopher is a Tim Hortons franchisee, and it’s a big part of our life. It was wonderful to have it part of the day. Who doesn’t want a cruller at midnight?

Colorful Waterfront San Diego Elopement

Want to know what a perfect day in San Diego looks like? We’ve found it! Alison and Steve’s intimate San Diego elopement truly captured the vibrancy of this young, hip city. Their first look took place at one of San Diego’s most beloved – and most colorful – urban murals. From there, they headed off for a ridiculously cool photo op in the middle of a desert garden. Finally, it was time to say, “I Do,” at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse, which offered a spectacular view of the city skyline. What better way to end a day in San Diego than with a romantic sailboat cruise? Kudos to Alexandria Monette Photography for capturing the exuberance and joy of this super sweet couple!

Tom Ham’s Lighthouse, San Diego, California

Steve and I have been head-over-heels in love since we were teenagers, so we knew we wanted to plan a beautifully intimate elopement that allowed us to soak in every moment with each other!

The theme that became the center of our plans was creating “a perfect day in San Diego.” So of course, this meant a private ceremony by the water, on a Monday, overlooking the downtown skyline, popping bubbly on a private sailboat, and whisking ourselves away to a gorgeous resort near the coast for an incredible meal and night’s stay.

Selecting Tom Ham’s Lighthouse ended up being a wonderful match. It had just enough privacy and a postcard-worthy view!

The whole day was such a colorful blur, so when Steve and I stepped onto our private sailboat for the evening, it felt like the biggest release. We could sit back, relax, sip champagne, and let all of the moments, the love, the joy of the day just sink in among the peaceful lull of the water beneath us. It was such a happy journey and we can both say with confidence, it was our favorite part of our wedding day.

One of the most unexpectedly fun things we did was hopping on Facebook Live while we were on our post-wedding sail to give our friends and family a sneak peek of our celebration and first moments together as husband and wife! To this day, it’s one of the things we get constant compliments on for doing. So if you’re eloping, this is an amazing and easy way to let everyone near and far share in your joy!
