Farmhouse charm gets an European glam make-over in this wedding at Kildara Farms. Carrie and Kyle immediately fell in love with the barn venue, but didn’t want the traditional rustic vibe associated with barn weddings. Carrie, who decorated the entire space, drew inspiration from her and Kyle’s travels and incorporated antique details – from teapots and vases to wax seals – into the reception decor. The bride was a glam bombshell in a beaded ballgown by The White Peony, which she paired with a simple half-up hairstyle. We’re so excited that Rivkah Photography was able to capture the true essence of this beautiful couple!

My wedding dress wasn’t what I thought I would have picked, but when I saw it I knew it was the one! It was a princess style, which some may think was too formal for an outdoor/farm wedding, so I kept my hair and accessories simple. I bought antique costume jewelry from a local antique dealer.
We DIYed almost everything! We searched thrift and antique stores every weekend for months finding all of our antique silver and crystal table decor.
We had our bouquet and boutonnière professionally made but we DIYed all of the floral for the tables, bar, and at the start of our isle. We also designed our own invitations, table number, and seating chart. I am an interior designer by trade so designing and making things for our wedding was so much fun and so inspiring to tap into another facet of creativity and vision.
We gave our guests small boxes of Jelly Belly jelly beans. We made the boxes out of old map paper to signify our world travels we’ve done together since they hold such a special place in our hearts and have been a huge party of our growing relationship.
