July 9, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

A little edge, a little whimsy, and a whole lot of magic happening in this Wolf Feather Honey Farm elopement inspiration. The venue’s stylist, Chari, brought together vintage décor, mixed metal accents, and ambient candle lighting to set the stage for a moody vibe within the venue’s farmstead where the couple got ready together. Understated Navy and Slate Blue Wedding at The Loft in Chehalis

July 9, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Andie and Mikal’s wedding at The Loft in Chehalis was a dream come true for rustic decor lovers! Using an elegant color palette of navy and slate blue and making great use of strategically placed greenery, the couple made their industrial warehouse venue feel cozy and natural. They also used a lot of decor that they have since repurposed for their home, which is a great budget-friendly option that also adds sentimental value to all the decor. The bride kept her look natural and timeless with a gorgeous BHLDN gown, a simple wavy hairstyle and natural makeup. We are in love with how Courtney Smith Photography captured this sweet couple’s fun-loving and silly personalities throughout the entire day!

Even though we did a first look and it was incredibly sweet, walking down the aisle to my soon-to-be husband was probably the best thing ever. I got to walk with both my parents at my side, ugly crying with each step I took, seeing tons of familiar faces around us. It was such a precious moment!

Choosing the right photographer was key!! We knew we wanted to have the best of the best to capture our big day. We are such cheerful and silly people, so finding a photographer to capture our joy was super important, especially with all these other moody and dramatic styles out there. Aside from that, we decided to prioritize focusing on each other and our relationship throughout the entire process instead of getting lost in the details!

Our best advice is to get decor you can use in your home after the wedding! Don’t waste too much time or money focusing on the little stuff. Try to get creative and do your own florals for example, either by ordering bulk online and assembling on your own, or exploring your backyard for local greenery.

Cooler Than Cool Redwood National Park Vow Renewal

July 8, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Emma and Dilan celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in style with an epic national park vow renewal that takes dreaminess to a whole new level! Donning a lovely lace dress from Wear Your Love and a dapper grey suit, the couple trekked through California’s redwood forest to find the perfect place to exchange new vows and start a new chapter in their marriage. Then it was time for dancing, cuddling, and basically just being adorable as Catherine Coons Photography captured some breathtaking moments amid the natural landscape!

From the photographer: Emma & Dilan renewed their vows after 5 years of marriage surrounded by the biggest, most beautiful Redwood trees I’ve ever seen. This has been a dream of theirs for so long, and when they asked me to come along with them on this adventure I could hardly contain my excitement.

We drove from San Francisco to Eureka and, once we arrived, we started on the trail searching for the perfect spot to exchange vows. It was warm, sunny, and the speckled afternoon light streaming into the forest made it feel like a dream. It was really special to have just the three of us in a huge forest, laughing, sharing stories, and learning about one another. It definitely goes down as one of the most memorable things I’ve ever photographed, and I hope something brings me back there to tell another couple’s story.
