Ethereal Ranch Palos Verdes Elopement Inspiration

October 8, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

This romantic, cliff side styled shoot by Lizztin Photography was modeled by a real couple who perfectly captured the adventurous spirit and simple elegance of this Ranch Palos Verdes elopement inspiration. Floral designer InStyle Blooms created a stunning bridal bouquet inspired by earth tones that complimented the gorgeous hills and bluffs of the panoramic ocean views. The shoot was inspired by easy grace, simplicity and true love shining through – the bride’s beautiful off the shoulder gown and bohemian statement necklace were both from Forever 21, while the groom wore H&M for a unpretentious look that kept the focus on their love.

Vintage Texas Wedding at The Cottages on Mill Creek

Inspired by their love of the great outdoors and classic oldies tunes, Bri and Tim celebrated their marriage at The Cottages on Creek Mill, an intimate bed and breakfast full of vintage vibes and rustic aesthetics, deep in the Texas countryside. The inviting grounds were the perfect setting for a timelessly elegant reception, furnished with antiques and bursting with flowers. Hanging floral buckets, an enormous bridal bouquet created by Foxglove and Grace Flowers and the fresh alter arrangements DIY’d by the bridesmaids. Short, white bridesmaids dresses made the colorful flowers ‘pop’ beautifully – reds, oranges, purples and coral looked even brighter against the classic white lace and off-the-shoulder silhouette. The bride’s lace wedding gown handmade by Polina Ivanova was inspired by classic vintage romance: a low back and sheer long sleeves and loads of lace, updated with a casual braid dotted with tiny pearls.

The Wedding:

The Cottages on Mill Creek, Round Top, Texas

The two main things I wanted was our wedding to be outdoors and a lot of florals! I couldn’t decide on a color theme so I just wanted it to be colorful, but natural too!

Leading up to the ceremony and the ceremony, the anticipation and the emotions were all super high. Our brains were foggy and scattered, but when we walked down the isle there was a sense of relief and so much love!

The ceremony aesthetics were completely DIY and we kept it simple. The venue had benches which we used, Bri made the hanging floral buckets with fresh flowers, and the bridesmaids made the altar floral arrangement. We set up the whole ceremony in front of the lake on the property, we knew the sun set over the lake around the time of the ceremony so it made a beautiful backdrop for our special moment!

The venue was beautiful and green and allowed us to have an outdoor wedding. The property also had 3 houses on it which we were able to rent out the whole property for the weekend, which worked out perfectly because we had a lot of family from out of town, and we were all able to accommodate almost everybody! It made for a nice family weekend getaway/reunion out in the country.

I really wanted a lot of lace, I wanted that classic vintage look. My dress was one of the most important things to me! I had my dress handmade by a designer in Bulgaria, I sent her every measurement possible. It took her almost 3 months to make and it arrived a WEEK before the wedding, it was risky, but it fit perfectly! It was everything I could have imagined.

We are both oldies fans, so we played a lot of classic 60’s 70’s and 80’s. Bri walked down the isle to a piano and cello version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow by The Piano Guys, we made our ceremony exit to the Instrumental version of Don’t Stop Believin’ from The Wedding Singer (One of the brides favorite movies), and our first dance was to Coming Home by Leon Bridges.

Travel Inspired Western Cape Wedding at Montpellier Wine Estate

October 7, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

After a four-year long distance relationship, Holly and Simon found an incredible old world setting at Montpellier Wine Estate, a historic manor steeped in rich, wine-making history. The couple instantly fell in love with the beautiful white chapel on a hill, surrounded by magnificent mountains and rolling vineyards. The travel theme were DIY’d by the couple and featured maps for the menus, seating chart and order of services, and a ‘boarding pass’ inspired invitation representing the many journeys they’d taken to see each other – and to celebrate the promise of the journey to come. Dearheart Photos captured the couple soaking up the historic and natural beauty of the grounds after the ceremony, with their tiny chapel just visible on the surrounding hills.

The Couple:

Holly and Simon

The Wedding:

Montpellier Wine Estate, Western Cape, South Africa

The most important thing was to remember that the day was a celebration of our relationship, surrounded by our family and friends and that to do this all we needed was to share the day together, plus good food, good wine and lots of dancing! We didn’t want to get lost in the details and wanted to be as relaxed as possible on the day, just soaking up every minute of it.

When we were deciding on designs and themes we wanted to capture our story leading up to the day and celebrate the promise of the journey to come – We had been in a long distance relationship for 4 years before we got married!

The most memorable part of the day was arriving on the truck and seeing the Chapel with lots of guests from the UK spilling outside, seeing the amazing scenery and feeling so lucky to be getting married in such stunning surroundings and then walking down the aisle holding onto my dad and seeing Simon, laughing, crying and smiling at me!

We designed our own save the date, invite, order of service and menu. We had a design featuring maps for the menu and order of service and our invitation was a “boarding pass” for a flight! It was meant to be fun and also represent to (many) journeys we’d had to see each other after 4 years of a long distance relationship.

We absolutely fell in love with Montpellier as soon as we saw it. A beautiful white chapel on a hill, surrounded by mountains, it felt like the perfect spot to say our vows to one another!
