Wedding Ideas: London Wedding
Alice and James’ colorful London wedding might be the most whimsical we’ve seen, all thanks to the exceptional vision of White Door Events. Pink and aqua tassels and white ginormo balloons hung above long dinner tables in an all-white industrial hall at the Trinity Buoy Wharf. Alice looked like a princess as she said “I do” to James in her silk Kate Halfpenny gown. The Couple: Alice and James The Wedding: Trinity Buoy Wharf, London, England The Inspiration: We […]
This London garden wedding inspiration at Hampstead Heath comes from Meghan Fay of Extraordinary Days, a Chicago-native now living and planning weddings in the UK. She brilliantly combined England’s beautifully natural landscape with warm-weather elements to create a dreamy and wedding look that will warm your heart even on a chilly London day! Here’s what event designer Extraordinary Days had to say about crafting this London garden wedding shoot: As an American wedding planner based in […]
With destination wedding bound couples in mind, a team of international destination wedding professionals designed this London-inspired styled photo shoot. Wedding planner Elisabetta White of Linen and Silk Weddings views London as the ideal destination spot for modern, free-spirited couples to elope due to its romantic literary past, charming brick walls and cobblestone streets, and downtown of passing faces of locals and travelers alike. Here’s what Elisabetta had to say about the inspiration for this […]
He was her first kiss on the playground, and now they’re husband and wife! Tracy and Clive’s British Armed Forces inspired wedding at the Tower of London was filled with royal blue and red colors that resembled Clive’s uniform. Taking advantage of the historic architecture, Butterfly Effect photography captured the couple’s breathtaking moments around the grounds. The Couple: Tracy and Clive The Wedding: Tower of London The Inspiration: Clive, being in the Armed Forces, meant that it would be a military […]
Nobody does a wedding quite like the talented team at London's Niemierko, so when our dear friend and Junebug member wedding planner Mark Niemierko sent over the photo and video footage of this spectacular wedding, I was simply speechless. In the ruins of London's landmark Battersea Power Station, Mark and a seeming army of helpers, transformed a disused coal power plant into a rock and roll wedding wonderland for some very special VIP clients.
Here's a little sneak preview of what's to come on Wednesday... an over-the-top, ultra-fun, party-of-the-century wedding inside the incredible London industrial landmark, the Battersea Power Station. Planning and designing a wedding in this massive decommissioned coal-fired power station was no small feat, but Mark Niemierko and his talented team created the event-of-a-lifetime for their lucky couple.
Let me first state, I am LOVING London Week here at Junebug, and I may or may not have been spending a little time looking for airplane tickets to book a trip. Each new batch of photos we've had this week has more gorgeous shots of London scenery, and I'm just dying to go see it all in person. Until then though, Maria (known as Mia) and Andrei's downtown wedding at the British Academy will tide me over well. I love Marianne Taylor's beautiful images of the historic buildings, London streets, and Mia's exquisite taste and design sense. Enjoy!
We're starting off London week with Jenny and Elia's wedding at St George's, Hanover and the reception that followed at the historic, luxurious, quintessential London hotel, Claridge's. I love the parade down Bond Street that led from the ceremony to the reception - such a wonderful glimpse of a celebration through London's streets, all beautifully captured by Crash Taylor of Nottingham, England.
I'm thrilled about sharing today's post for a couple of reasons - 1. I absolutely adore the stylish gentleman and wedding planner I was lucky enough to interview, Mark Niemierko, and 2. I get to tell you that he is one of the first new members of our Worlds Best Wedding Planners and Designers Hotlist that's launching next month!
